Michele is AMAZING! I now have the most beautiful eyebrows and gorgeous eyeliner- permanently!! Threw those stupid pencils away when I got home! I love love love that it only takes me 2 min or less to add a few strokes of mascara, some lip gloss and I'm ready to go! Michele is so incredibly gentile, kind and comforting the entire time she's with you. She took almost an hour before she even started my brows to work with me on the exact color, shape and size that I wanted and that looked best on me. I researched ALOT of places and artists before deciding to go with Michele and I could not be happier. I almost booked with a place that does hand-held microblading, instead of actual tattooing that Michele does-- I feel like I dodged a bullet! Once I learned more about the 2 processes I am so grateful that I chose NOT to get handheld microblading done! If you are even considering it-- DO IT! I only regret that I didn't do it much sooner!

I just had my first experience at Rose Red and I am very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy extended toward me. I had permanent eyebrows done back in 1986 in California when permanent makeup was just getting started. Although the eyebrows were supposed to last only 15 years or so, it was more than 30 years before I noticed they had begun to fade. I asked my hairdresser for a permanent makeup recommendation and she said her sister's best friend had had a very positive experience at Rose Red, so I called them. The owner, Lisa Doll, was extremely knowledgeable, both medically and aesthetically. I went for a consultation (free) and explained that I only needed the old brows touched up, as I liked the shape and color very much already. Lisa did not try to upsell me into something I neither wanted nor needed. I paid my deposit and made an appointment. Ultimately, I had to change the appointment when an unforeseen conflict came up, but Lisa worked with me via email to schedule a new appointment that worked for both of us, and then let me know twice of cancellations in case I wanted to come earlier. The second time she notified me of a cancellation I was available, so I had the procedure done a whole month earlier than scheduled, which was so great! Lisa only charged me for a touch-up and didn't try to "modernize" my brows. She did exactly what I asked and was very informative and knowledgeable when I sought her advice. Her after-care advice was thorough and her after-care products (included) worked well. I will be recommending Lisa Doll and Rose Red to everyone.

Michelle was great, pleasant and fun. I had permanent eyeliner applied on upper and lower lids. This took just under 2 hours but the time went quickly. While some of it was painful, Michelle took her time, talked me through the painful parts, applied a light touch, and used a cool pad when needed to reduce the pain. I made it through the process without any difficulty and my eyes look great.

I had a half day appointment with Lisa on 5/12 for a tattoo on my thigh and the whole experience was amazing. The day of my consultation, Lisa texted me to let me know she had earlier availability and I was free to come by the shop whenever was convenient. The day of my tattoo, I was promptly taken back to her room right at my appointment time. I love that Rose Red has private rooms where you are tattooed. She had taken what we spoke about snd make something that exceeded all of my expectations. Lisa and I chatted through the tattoo process and she explained what she was doing every step of the way. Lisa Doll did a amazing job on my piece. She took just words and experiences and few internet pictures to capture the spirt of my osprey. I did not even hesitate to approve the sketch. She got the bird and the conductor’s lantern perfect on the sketch. I waited to write this review because it took three three hour sessions to complete. With every session what she said would heal. Opened up this beautiful gift of forever art on my body. When the color came in I almost cried because it was so beautiful. I saw her vision from all the consults and the sessions come to life from my words. I love to watch osprey fly and now I have one forever to protect me. She truly captured everything in her work. I will absolutely use her and her shop again because they are amazing not pretentious or kitschy like some tattoo shops can be when you come in not showing your art every where. Everyone is super friendly and has their own talents. So this is literally like finding the Ark of the covenant in ellicott city Maryland. I cannot wait to go back. At 60 I had my first tattoo after a partial mastectomy and radiation damage 9 years ago from breast cancer. I hated looking at my breast for so many years after all the damage. I finally decided to look into a tattoo and found Lisa after researching for several months. I showed her some images of what I envisioned, and a month later came in and she had designed exactly what I wanted. I was nervous but because of all the nerve damage barely felt it being done. The tattoo is beautiful. I look in the mirror now and see such a beautiful image. It has only been a week but it is life changing for me. Lisa is very friendly and I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. After meeting her for my consultation, I immediately knew I picked the right person to do this. You have privacy while she tattoos, in a clean comfortable room. She has a lot of experience with scar and mastectomy tattoos and I would highly recommend her. Mandi did my first ever tattoo yesterday. It's a simple small grey ribbon on my inside right wrist. Even though she has done similar tattoos many times, she made sure to treat mine as if it was unique. She is very considerate and kind. The consultation was thorough and reassuring. When I arrived yesterday, Mandi had 3 sketches for me to choose from. Once I picked the one I wanted, she was able to shrink it to the size that I requested. She was patient when I had her move the stencil twice and said she always asks people multiple times to make sure they like where it is. She made sure to keep her gloves and equipment clean as well as my skin. She gave great instructions for after care too. The studio is clean, well lit and nicely decorated. I met with Monica a few months prior to my appointment this past weekend. I had 2 parts of the tattoo that I wanted and was set on what 1 of them had to look like and was flexible on the 2nd part. When I met with Monica for my appointment, she nailed it! She showed me what she had been working on, I shared with her what I had in mind and she made a few adjustments to the drawing and it was perfect. She worked with me so the vision in my head could be put onto my body for life. We played with the size and directions together before I confirmed what I wanted. When starting the art, she explained what technique she would use and how the tattoo would end up looking on my skin afterwards. She talked to me throughout the whole appointment and would explain what she was doing and her progression throughout it. I felt comfortable with her the entire time and have already told my friends to go set up an appointment with her. I told Monica she is now my go-to girl :)

Casey did an amazing job covering up an old very unattractive tattoo. She took my original art and transformed it into a gorgeous pair of koi. One word: Professionalism. I had the pleasure of having Mandi Johnson take my vision and bring it to life with her incredible skills. From the moment I stepped into their establishment, I was greeted with a comfortable, home-like atmosphere and plenty of smiles. Mandi was a fantastic listener and did all she could to make sure I not only was getting what I wanted, but also that I understood clearly every step of the process. I brought to her a vision, let her run with it, and she put it onto paper exactly as I was hoping. During the procedure, her bedside manner was calming, and she made every effort to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied from start to finish. The work I requested was non-color with shading, and she did an amazing job bringing my ideas to life. Her line-work is impeccable. The thing that blew the service out of the water was the after-care attention she gave me. This was only my second tattoo, and it was the first time I had done it with a real professional, so I wanted to make sure I was taking care of it properly. She not only gave me explicit instructions to take with me after the work was done, but also responded to my periodic e-mail questions within 24 hours. These were not one liners, but well fleshed out responses that explained everything clearly for an inexperienced receiver of tattoos. It's now three weeks after I got the work done and the end of the after-care process. The artwork looks fantastic, and I could not be happier. I would recommend Mandy and Red Rose to anyone that is looking for a warm, caring, professional tattoo experience!

I orginally came in because a friend let me know about $100 Friday the 13th tattoos. I found several amazing designs I wanted and was happily able to get my first choice and be the second client of the day for Lisa Doll, owner of Rose Red. What a fantastic experience! My colorful tattoo healed fabulously and is one of the cleanest lined, brightly colored tattoos that I have. While I was there I saw some artwork on her wall of one of my favorite characters, Coraline. I knew I had to have it. It was such a magnificent piece of fan art! We booked the appointment that day for linework. The linework went smoothly and much more quickly than anticipated. We chatted the whole time and have a lot in common. I went back yesterday for the coloring. I had to reschedule my original appointment a few days before and Lisa was politely accomodating. Coraline is on my calf so I coulndn't watch it being done but I never had a doubt that it wouldn't be incredible. Lisa has so much love in her work that every little detail is high quality. The shop is also a cool layout and great use of the place. It's clean and there is always great music on. I absolutely look forward to visiting again with Lisa and her other artists.

I recently got a very simple tattoo with Monica (when I'm talking simple, I literally mean just one tiny letter). I've been thinking about getting this tattoo for a year and a half and finally caved and made an appointment at Rose Red. I was worried that no one would be interested in doing this tattoo since it is so simple, but Monica took the time to meet with me to discuss what I wanted and educate me on tattoo placement and expectations. She was very helpful and upfront with me and never made me feel like my idea was silly or not worth her time. The day of my tattoo was great - the studio is very clean and spacious. I think it took longer to set up for my tattoo than it took to complete the actual tattoo, but Monica talked me through what to expect and exactly how to care for such a small tattoo. I would gladly get another tattoo with Monica again. In fact, I'm currently considering a cover up with her.
