Went in with my friends to get my ears pierced and it was great! Very clean shop and friendly staff, my buddy was a little afraid and the piercer patiently waited for the ok from him. The process was very quick too, afterwards they make sure you are aware how to care for your piercing during the healing process.

Called. Well, I was going to go get a medusa that would take less than 30 mins but apparently I cant bring my 2 kids into the shop. I understand for tattoos bc sittings can go for hours but my kids are well behaved and know better. Kind of blown away by that.

First experience was a good experience. I would go back. The establishment appeared clean. The process was easy. I think I was there maybe a half hour for a piercing. Staff was pleasant, not very talkative but very helpful as soon as I walked in. I will definitely return there first to address any piercing needs or inquire about ink.

4.5* Great place for first anythings. Staff is really professional. I went in for my first tattoo and thought it was going to be awful but I was shocked at how quick I was in and out of there. The aftercare was explained thoroughly and it healed as it should. I plan to go back in a few years if it needs to be recolored although I doubt it'll be soon. I'm so happy with my art! ^_^

I go here for all of my tattoos and I love it! This was my second time getting a piercing and my experience has always been great. I would like to say the person who did my piercing wasn't very friendly but she was quick. I had to ask her at the end so what do I do now. She slid the after care information across the table and said everything is on here and continued to clean up. That was the first time I had that type of interaction with someone here, the people are usually very friendly and informative but maybe she was having a bad day.

I visited the new location in Crofton. It was very nicely laid out, gorgeous space. Very attentive staff. The wait (As a walk in) wasn't long at all, and the tattoo I got which is pretty small didn't take long at all, maybe 30 min IF that. Their grand opening party for this location is 4/14, they'll have awesome sales on their piercing and tattoos, so you'll definitely want to check it out if you see this review before then. Over all an excellent experience, I will definitely be going back for future body mods!!!! Status: Went back today for their Grand Opening, TONS of fun! I also got piercings, they were awesome there, very nice reassuring, everything just an awesome place!!!

My daughter and I got matching nose piercings. Well, kind of matching. I had my left side pierced and she had her right side pierced. We went in and got our other sides pierced. So now we both have both our left and right nostrils pierced, plus she has a septum piercing. Nope! I'm not going there!

Customer service definitely needs A LOT of improvement. Got my nose pierced, they didn't even educate me about the piercing or say anything at all. All they did was pierce it. That was so awkward. Like can you at least tell me how to take care of it afterwards. The 2nd time I came to get my stud changed and same thing. They never told me that straight piercings have a tendency to fall out or not stick all the way to the bottom of the nose more than L shaped . They just seemed in a rush. Now my piercing at the bottom closed up slightly. I assumed they put on a brand new pair of gloves when attending to me. I hope they did cuz I don't have time for that. My piercing got a little infected but I just used peroxide and that helped. But anyways there are definitely other piercing places out there that have way better customer service. It shouldn't be that deep for me to get information about a piercing that I am paying to get. Educate your customers and improve in customer service.

Every time I want a new tattoo, I go to Red Octopus. The staff is very friendly and they will help you create the perfect tattoo that you will be happy with for a lifetime. The atmosphere in the shop is great as well. I got my first tattoo at this shop ten years ago. I will continue to go back to this location for all my tattoo and piercing needs.

I have only gotten piercings there, but Charlie was great! The process was quick and pretty much painless aside from what felt like a pinch. I thought it was going to hurt and I was sort of nervous, but he explained exactly what he was going to do and how he was going to do it and ensured I was comfortable with the process. I got my daith pierced by Mike and asked him to assess a miceodermal piercing from out of state. He seemed to lack knowledge and friendliness. When I informed him the dermal was on my sternum, he had me lower my shirt collar at the front counter in front of a crowded waiting room. When inquired about the after care and healing time for a daith piercing, he seemed unknowledgable, stating a 4-6 week healing time. The piercing aftercare sheet given by the shop recommending antibacterial soap and bactine application to new piercings is in line with getting an ear piercing at a mall. Minimal jewelry selection, poor piercing angle, and he warped the "gold" 5/16 captive ring. I won't be surprised if this piercing doesn't heal.

I walked in a got a bad vibe just by the blank stare the front desk guy gave me. I wanted to get a nose piercing and after asking a couple of questions he went to the back "to find out" the answer and came back with no answer, turn asked me if my ID was fake (wth) and has me fill out the form just to say we can't do it cause you're too far a long.. Not just cause Aim simply pregnant. So why waste my time when I am obviously pregnant and even told him before I started to fill out everything. Poor customer service and lack of professionalism totally wouldn't go back there

MY husband went for a cover up and spent 300 dollars... we were told that the touch up "if needed" was free and that since he said that my husband had 100 dollars worth of time.. Since he was planning on getting another tattoo he agreed to come back to use the time but was told that if he didn't want another tattoo the 100 dollars would be refunded..... When the tattoo healed you can still see the original tattoo as the ink for it is a darker black than what they used. My husband emailed them and said he would like to get his touch up and that he would like to refund the 100 for now because the next tat he wants will take more than an hour to do and we cant afford it right now.... The guy emailed him back and said the tattoo looks fine but that we can schedule a touch up and said the tattoo looked good to him and that he wished he would have tattooed him slower ..WOW really? this guy is a JERK take your business else where

I've been going to red octopus for a few years now getting tattooed and they don't compare to other shops. The staff is friendly,knowledgeable, and professional. Jen White has been my artist and I can't say enough positive things about her. She has reworked a few of my tattoos done at other shops, and they turned out so much more vibrant and colorful. Since then I've had two full sleeves done by Jen. She did a amazing job. She really took her time and made my tattoos a original piece of art that is my style. If you are looking into getting a tattoo I would definitely check this shop out. I know I will be returning for more.

P.S it's way better than the silver spring tattoo place of your wondering . Wish I could show you a picture from that silver spring tattoo shop vs red octopus then you'll really know
