So I actually live about 3.5 hrs aways didn't want to veer too far from base due to surgery recovery saw the shop was close by was bored out my mind decided to check it out. The experience was great they have prior military working in the shop as well as some really great artists mine being CHARLIE he cooked up a pretty A1 sugar skull for me if I get any more ink done while I'm on the coast I'ma make that 3.5 hr drive ...Dope people, excellent art, fare price ..checkem out

Came in not knowing what I wanted as a cover up. Looked through a book an artist put together of his own paintings and drawings. Loved every single one but I unfortunately only had enough money to get a bird off of a bigger painting in the book. Very clean, Very professional, Great Staff. I’m in love with this tattoo, he said it’s the first one he’s ever done out of that book. So I’m glad I can represent someone’s talent, and also have a small meaning of my own behind it. I have an appointment on Thursday for an anchor I’m going to get as another cover up, and I’m REALLY looking forward to it!!!

I've been here two times. Once to get a piercing and another time to get one of my older piercings looked at. Both times I received great service. I have never had more than a 10 min wait for both times that I went (and I was a walk in both times). The lady that does the piercings knows what she is doing and explains everything to you; how to clean the piercing,what to do and what not to do during the healing process. I must say, she doesn't lie about whether the piercing will hurt (I've been to a bunch of places for piercings and they always say, "o this won't hurt"... LIES! She even helped me keep one of my favorite piercings that I thought was infected- but it wasn't! With her help I kept my piercings and I would definitely recommend going here (for a piercing)! side note- I know nothing about the tattoo experience

Since Joe left my experience hasn't been the same. I showed them a beautiful picture which they said they could do, but when it came time to put their words to action all I got from Rico was other alternatives.so I asked if someone else could do it. I sat for two hour today and both drawings were as if he didn't even look at the picture. With that said. I will not be back. Thanks for nothing Red can't say octopus because no one has those drawing hands, or no one I dealt with.

If you go here ask for Jared. Guy is professional and can turn anything into a masterpiece! He has done 3 of my tattoos, a family crest on my back, an American flag on my inner arm, and some lettering on my triceps. People always compliment these works! As long as Jared is there, I'm going to him. I suggest you give him a call and tell him what you want and let him draw it up ahead of time. The prices are pretty good! People complaining about prices on here don't understand that you pay for quality!

I was scared of getting my first tattoo but the comfort they gave me the strength to get it done. The best end part was my cutie stuff octopus animal toy given to me from them. I really wanted to like the Red Octopus. They are friendly, and seem to be a very clean establishment. I've even been using their cute little keychain. I'm sure they're not going to be happy with this review, and I'm sure they might say that I should have come in if I was having any trouble. But whether or not I came in to see them does not change the following. I finally had my ear looked at by a professional, because it's been three months and my industrial still hasn't progressed in its healing and has hypertrophic scarring on both sides, inner and outer. I have been in pain up until recently. Firstly the barbell used for my piercing left no room for swelling, the ball bearing beads were actually digging into my flesh, and given the aftercare they sent me home with actually instructs me to move the barbell, I did end up irritating it more. Secondly the aftercare they gave me was not correct. You do not want to be putting ointment on it or moving it at all - both are likely to cause extreme irritation and delay healing or worse (the ointment isn't sterile so could easily become the cause of an infection). I've since then been able to do some salt soaks and have the barbell switched out for a proper length. Immediately my ear has began to show signs of healing and is no longer being restricted by the tight barbell length. I've been in tears over this whole thing. As far as piercings go, I would not recommend this place at all. I haven't visited them again, because I do not trust them anymore on a professional level, and neither should you.

This was my first visit and I enjoyed my experience. The Receptionist, Riva, was very nice and extremely patient with me as I explained to her what I wanted. My Tattoo Artist, Avery, was also extremely patient and he took care at every stage of his stencil drawing to ensure this tattoo was going to be exactly as I wanted it. Best of all I did not have to argue with him when I told him what direction on my arm (facing me or not facing me)I wanted this tattoo. Back in April, I had to argue with another tattoo artist at a shop not affiliated with Red Octopus about the tattoo direction and I decided afterwards to never return to that Artist/Tattoo shop again. This tattoo shop is very clean, with great decor, a very comfortable waiting area, a free drinking water cooler, and a great sound system with nice music playing. The Artist workstations are all very well-organized and they have the appropriate privacy partitions and rooms. The outside entryway also includes an Assessible Ramp and there is Reserved Parking for those with the appropriate Disability Parking stickers/tag(s). This shop also has electronic receipts if you want your receipt sent to your e-mail address.

I'm a repeat customer. Over the years I've gotten a tattoo and several piercings there. Always professional. Piercings are average price. Tattoos are pricey but not outrageous. Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good. The price is reasonable for a lifetime decision.

I researched tattoo shops in Maryland and found Red Octopus on line. I spent quite a while looking at the work of the artists at several locations and finally selected Jared in Morningside. I was initially interested in the 3D butterfly tattoos and he was one of the only artists that featured those in his portfolio. By the time I went in for my appointment, I had selected another tattoo design. When I got there, the folks at the front desk were courteous. Jared greeted me and began working on my design. That took about 20 minutes. He was very patient as I scrolled through the font options. He was pleasant and did an excellent job on my tattoo. The price was very reasonable and I was in and out in about an hour and a half. I will definitely refer others to Jared in the future.

Not very courteous like the Crofton location...went in to buy a replacement nose ring...first quoted one price then another....I got the vibe that I wasn't really welcomed...it was really weird. The lady offered to upsell and asked if I wanted to purchase 2...I was still in the valley of decision..but beside the point, I wasn't satisfied with my purchase. I had a change of mind immediately after and wanted to change styles. I didn't touch the nose piercing but she did with her bare hands..I wasn't allowed to exchange. I don't understand. I should have went straight to Crofton...smh. Won't return to suitland AT All!!! When you make a purchase..you should feel satisfied..not weird and unwelcome. How do you do that to my type of demographics when you are clearly surrounded by just that clientele? As I walked out I felt nothing but buyers remorse and cold stares...very unhappy
