I was so worried color wouldn’t show on my skin and he took the time to make sure it popped! I can’t thank him enough. The woman at the front desk is gorgeous n so helpful and their piercer is so awesome! Can’t wait to get more work done!

The artist I go to is Tyler McKinney, having spent over 50+ hours with him. Not only is he a really talented artist, but a really funny and personable guy. Strives to do his best work on every piece and to make every detail as best as possible.The shop is always clean and the people who work there are always friendly and helpful. Overall Lucky Bird is an immensely talented shop and deserves a lot of recognition for the quality of their tattoos and the care they put in to them.

Tyler’s work literally amazed me as I watched him put that ink to skin. I wish I would have found him for all my original tattoos cause i know for a fact he would have do it not only better but in the style that I had in my head that others couldn’t seem to fully get. Shop was clean, comfy, quiet, and you only get charged time when your butt is in the seat!!!!!!! I will get every tattoo,no matter how far the travel, from Tyler and hopefully at lucky bird. I’m picky as hell(as you should be with a life long commitment) and I couldn’t be happier!

July 16, 2018 Nicky Hernandez put his creation to skin today. On me! His walking Billboard. My appointment was booked a month ago. He remembered my allergy to LATEX & had his station prepared accordingly. * impressive WHAT AN ARTIST! He created my idea to PERFECTION! I was ready to give this establishment a " bad rap " due to no correspondence within the month after emailing precise photos & explanation. MY BAD! I'm no artist & cant begin to understand their profession. I shouldn't have been concerned. ( I been STUNG by terrible artists in my past. ) While I CAN'T speak for any other artist there, but I will honestly say, Lucky Bird is a clean professional environment, with MY tattoo artist ( Nicky Hernandez) being a savant artistically. * HEY NICKY, Is artistically spelled w/ 1L or 2? ONLY HE will understand this. Thank you guys so much for the experience. As painful as it was... WORTH IT!

Rod did such a great job, he took the time to get the details how I wanted it and had multiple options for size to make sure it was perfect for where I wanted it placed. I was interested in a tattoo that was displayed at the Shana Hall’s booth at the Philly Convention, but when I went to talk to her about pricing, she had only low quality customer service to offer. She was curt, uninterested, and not helpful.

Best tattoo shop I have been to, out of the three I have visited. Definitely the cleanest, and every single one of the artists is extremely dedicated to what they do. They made my experience easy and as pain free as it could be. Parry did my work and he is literally a one of a kind artist, as are the other artists at Lucky bird tattoo. I highly recommend checking out some of their award winning work. You will NOT regret coming here.

So, I chose this place for piercings based on the reviews... and they could not have been more right! I was trying to deal with a touchy situation when I arrived, and right away they made me feel at ease (I'm pretty sure it was Nick who greeted me...thank you thank you!). They were super kind and friendly. Scott is awesome. He explained everything to me, took his time, and made sure I had all the aftercare info. And not to mention having an abundance of patience. No pressure, no pitching; just awesome, friendly people. I am looking for a cover-up next, and I know just where I'm going.

With out question the most Professional and Personable tattoo shop I have ever had the pleasure of being apart of. Rodd was more than happy to work around my schedule as I work Shift. I recieved my first tattoo from Rodd Diaz about a year ago and would never think about going any where else. I returned this August to get more work done by Rodd and after two sittings it will be completed in January. If you want THE BEST, than I strongly suggest Lucky Bird....I wouldn't hesitate to get work done by any of the Artists there. If you want a tattoo that looks like your best friend did it in his basement, than this place is definitely not for you. THANKS

I was on vacation in Annapolis, Maryland. I had been wanting a tattoo in memory of my dad for about a year. I wanted to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for. I found four places in Annapolis. I checked them all out before deciding to get it done at Lucky Bird. Lucky Bird is so clean and the staff is great. The shop is filled with the spectacular art work of the artists who work there. Tyler McKinney did my tattoo. He is an amazing artist, who I entrusted to do my tattoo. It took about two hours to complete. Watching this master tattooist work on my tattoo was an incredible feeling. Words can not describe how awesome my tattoo is. Everyone I have shown it to has been blown away. I am going back to Annapolis next year. I am looking forward to going back to Lucky Bird and having Tyler McKinney doing my next tattoo.

Got my daughters nosed pierced here. As far as that goes service was great. Unlike most other tattoo shops Lucky Bird strives to break the stigma of the same old grumpy tattoo parlors. Everyone was nice and made us feel warm and welcomed and made us feel like they were happy we came in. 10/10 will use again.

2/23/2019 - I would give 10 stars out of 5 if I could! I’m so glad I found this place on yelp! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their services. I went to get my nipples pierced. This is my second time. My first time was with another piercer, at another business. My nipples never healed properly after a year+. I eventually just took the piercings out and allowed them to heal. I was always afraid to get them done again because I remember how painful the process is. My piecer was Nick. He answered all of my questions prior to getting pierced. During the process he walked me through each step and gave me a break between each step. He didn’t rush me or anything. To be honest, this time around was a lot less painful than my last piercer. Afterwards, he gave me time to relax and gave me thorough instructions to care for my piercings. They are also very affordable and have reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place for your piercings. -Melton

My experience here was AMAZING! I got a forearm tattoo from Walt. We emailed back and forth many (many) times so he could make sure he knew exactly what I was looking for, and he got it /perfect/. Everyone there was friendly, relaxed, and professional. Lucky bird is unintimidating and I'd especially recommend it for first timers. I'd go back there in a heartbeat. Worth every penny. Nothing but good things to say about the piercers at Lucky Bird!! Scott and Nick are both astoundingly professional, friendly, and talented, and their prices are super reasonable. All 6 of my cartilage piercings there have been swift and minimally painful - so much so that I was able to get 4 of them done in one sitting with relative ease! They've all healed (or are healing) perfectly, with the newest two being even more well-behaved than the previous ones! Would also recommend the Naked piercing aftercare products they sell - I think it's been helping my new ones tremendously, and is for sure less hassle than mixing my own saline solution.

I got a tattoo there and admittedly the work was pretty good and I was satisfied. Set up a second tattoo for me and then one after for my wife. I mixed up my date for first appt by one day and they took my $300 deposit. I understood and was willing to pay for my honest mistake but thought $300 was excessive. I offered half the amount and then have the other tattoos done. I was refused the request and so cancelled the other appointments. A bit of a greedy policy and not wise as it cost them a client and future business. I got the other tattoos at red orchid and was just as pleased with their work. Still I would recommend lucky bird....but don't make a mistake!

Lucky Bird is a hidden gem. Whether you are a first timer (like myself) or a regular, the staff here treats you like family. I can say nothing bad about the shop, process, or staff. My tattoo artist was Jeffy who was phenomenal. His attention to detail was exactly what I was looking for and his attitude was so hospitable. I never felt pressured into anything I didn't want and everything was explained in great detail. As others have said the place was immaculate and inviting. I looked at a lot of shops online, I called multiple and sent emails. Lucky Bird responded the fastest by far and didn't have some ridiculous 8 month wait. I look forward to spending more time there as I loose skin and gain ink. I recommend this shop to anyone reading this and will be recommending it to anyone in need of a tattoo. To the staff thank you and to Jeffy you are the man!! Keep up the awesome work you guys rock!
