I came to get a touch-up of a tattoo I got at a different shop, and Konkrete Jungle was very accommodating and friendly. My artist, James, was professional and fun to talk to, and made sure everything was just the way I wanted it (and for a very reasonable price). You do have to pay cash, but there's an ATM in the 7-Eleven a few doors down. Love the atmosphere of the shop and would come back again!

Artist was Smoot, and we could not have been happier! I got my first script tattoo, something I've been needing to help reel me back in, and he helped me pick the perfect font and sizing and placement and made it really easy! My fiance had a beautiful wave tattoo with breathe under it to help her calm down, so both of our tattoos needed to have been done in a way to give us what we needed from it and Smoot gave us exactly what we wanted even though we couldn't put a voice to it. We have had a few artists work on us, and Smoot has so far been the best experience. We will absolutely be coming back for more! I'm already planning my sleeve and shes planning her next piece. I took my 6 year old daughter to get her ears pierced and had a great experience with Alex! She was very thoughtful about the placement of the earrings on her little lobes and was quick with the needle. The process was relatively painless and very sterile. I love that the shop offers titanium earrings that are super hypoallergenic where you can switch out the colors and keep the earring intact throughout the healing process.

I was worried because I was afraid they would turn out like two broad Marker pen strokes acrossed my forehead. But I will tell you now that I am very very happy with the results. I got my first tattoo done about a year ago by Felix. My experience with him was awesome. I had an idea of what I wanted my tattoo to look like, but just couldn't put it all together (size, placing, putting the design altogether). So he and I discussed possible ideas and it turned out so great. I get so many compliments on it. I know that when it comes to future tattoos, I can trust him with what will look right and what won't. I have also gotten a few piercings by Alex. She seems really knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her job. I also love the neometal jewelery that they offer. With that said, whenever I want a piercing or a tattoo (even if it may be a simple sentence), it's hard for me to consider other tattoo facilities.

First and foremost, I am happy with the work I received today and believe my artist, Smoot, did a great job. It is disappointing that this rating doesn’t reflect the actually tattoo, but reviews should be about the entire experience with a merchant. The reason why I am rating this review with one star has to do with how a situation was handled by the manager of the shop. In order to get a tattoo at Konkrete Jungle Kustom Tattoo & Body Piercing, a person must pay $60 to reserve an appointment. The total cost of my tattoo was $100, so when I paid $60 to reserve my appointment, I viewed this as down payment. Today when I went in to get the tattoo and the man at the front desk asked for the remaining $40 before my tattoo was even started, I was confused. I stated that this did not seem right because you do not pay full price for a service before it is completed. The guy at the front desk said it was their policy and I could talk with the manager, which he pointed to. I did. I challenged the manager on the policy because it did not seem fair. I told the manager that I never paid for a service in full price before actually receiving the service. The manager stated that he has no idea if I was going to run out after receiving the tattoo. I countered that I would not and even if I did, you copied down drive licenses number so if I did, the authorities could find me. The manager then countered back by saying that he would have to pay a cop to hunt me down. (NOTE: I did not state this during the conversation, but now does not appear true because policing is a public service, which all our taxes (include mine) pay for). I then stated that this was not typical business practices and the manger countered with, “this is how all tattoo shops do it”. The manager then stated, “this is the policy and I’m not changing,” and walked away. I my opinion, the biggest insult you can provide to someone is to be dismissive in nature to them. I felt when the manager walked away from the conservation, instead of giving it more time to come to a resolution, it was very unprofessional and rude. I wanted to walk out and not get the tattoo, but I had already $60 down for a $100 tattoo, which was non-refundable. If I had walked out, I would be out 60 bucks without a tattoo. I chose to put my pride aside and pay the remaining balance and get the tattoo. During the tattoo, the artist, Smoot, explained to me why the policy is what it is. Basically, Smoot stated that tattoo shops historically have had a lot of problems with people running out of the shop after their tattoo is finished without paying. The policy is meant to protect the shop, despite that it feels like a customer might be getting screwed. Smoot continued, because of this policy it is very important that a customer do a lot of research on their artist to make sure they like the artist work before paying. After this conversation with Smoot, I understood why the policy exist and would have felt more comfortable paying for the tattoo in full before receiving it. If the manager had not dismissed me by walking away and maybe spent a couple more minutes in the conversation, I’m sure we would have gotten to the point where he could have explained it the same way. I would be writing a totally different review right now if that had happened. Because of how I was treated by management, I will not be returning to this establishment. It is a shame because I liked the work and I have more tattoo work to be done in the near future. As a last point, I would really like for the shop to succeed and not for future customers to be treated like me. If I was given the opportunity, I do have some valuable customer feedback for how the shop could both protect themselves from customers running out after a tattoo without paying and prevent customers from felling like they are being screwed by paying full practice for a tattoo upfront. The management just has to be open to hear it.

Ive had a few tattoo done here and I have a couple family members that have appts coming up soon but today I’m giving this rating due to how I was talked more or less yelled at by one of the owners. I called to reschedule my appointment but because I didn’t do it with 48 hours of the appointment I would lose my deposit I stated that I would try to make. I called back and stated my name and the artist name to inform them I was running late and I was told it was cool! Once getting to the shop I was told that I would’ve able to get my tattoo done today and I was fine with but I wanted to know what would be done about my deposit because it was told to me over that phone that it would be ok that I was running late! So the one of the owners comes out and she lets me know that the message was not passed along to the artist because there are two artists in the shop with the same name ok so now that’s a mixed up on there end and then she stated the policy and she then “says we would work with you” ok fine work with how do I get half my deposit all my deposit or do I have to put another deposit down; Hell I would’ve paid for my whole tattoo and came back another! Why; because I’ve never had a problem there before! She then proceeded to say “I was going to tell you but you cut me off”! Ok so now I can’t ask a question, but ok! So now I can here in her voice she’s catching an attitude restate what she said to me before and I say ok but can you listen and understand where I’m coming from! 1.How am I’m suppose to know there’s two artist there by the same name of one of the goes by there nickname? 2.If everyone’s allowed to answer the phone shouldn’t everyone go by the same protocol when answering the phone? If not everyone shouldn’t be answering the phone! Now she’s really mad and talking to me with her hands mind you I’m sitting down while she’s doing all this and she’s standing over me! I’m already Tired from working all morning and I’m not about to give her my last little bit of energy so at this point I’m just like can you Reschedule my appointment please! She tells me “No but you can go to him and he will reschedule you”! So I walked off to the Receptionist and ask him to reschedule me please and here she comes following me still yelling!

Konkrete Jungle is simply the best tattoo & piercing shop in the area! Chris is an amazing artist and really takes the time to understand what you want and then delivers. Shop is very clean and well lit - those new to getting tattooed won't feel intimidated at all. I recommend going into the shop for an initial consultation and then setting an appointment. It's possible you can walk-in but they are pretty busy most of the time so best to plan ahead.

All the way from the front of house staff to the technical staff in the back, you’re treated like family in the cleanest most sterile yet badass environment I’ve ever seen. There’s not a single artist there I don’t trust, and their piercer Alex is bar none. First off, I called to ask a few questions about the piercing I wanted and whoever I spoke to was super helpful about when their piercer would be in and what to expect. When I came in to have 2 forward helix piercings, the piercer Alex was incredibly knowledgeable about different jewelry options (which was a specific concern of mine). She was very professional and made sure I understood everything she was saying and doing. She did a fantastic job with the actual piercings and I absolutely love them!! This review is specifically about my experience with getting my cartilage pierced by Alex. I have gotten four cartilage piercings (two on each ear) from Alex. I got my first two cartilage piercings almost a year ago. The parlor is impressively clean and polished, and the employees are all very polite. Alex was very thorough in explaining the different kinds of earrings, how cartilage piercings differ from lobe piercings, and what to do/expect for aftercare. She was also extremely understanding of how anxious I was and didn't judge me for bringing a stuffed animal, haha! Today, almost a year later, I came back to get my third and fourth cartilage piercings. I no longer live in the area--I live a 2 hour drive away, but this parlor is still the best, most trustworthy place I know to get my cartilage pierced. Once again, Alex did a fantastic job. I cannot recommend Konkrete Jungle enough for body piercings!

So you want to get tattooed and/or pierced. Well your fingers have googled you in the right direction. This is a down to earth shop with a staff focused on doing quality work for an honest price. This concept seems to be a bit of a no brainer but in the age of over hyped, over priced shops that make you feel like you are on their time instead of them on yours it is refreshing to know Konkrete Jungle exist. I’ve been coming here for nearly 2 years and have had about 30 hours of work done and my wife has another 8. Alex pierced my 5yr old daughter's ears today. She was great with every step of the process. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything to my wife, myself, and our daughter and made sure that our daugbter was extremely comfortable. Definitely a great place and highly recommended.

Bring cash for this place. I was seated quickly without an appointment. I liked my tattoo artist - I believe his name was James. He was nice and seemed skilled. However, the guy at the front wasn't very nice. He tried to tell me that my (simple!) tattoo wasn't possible and turn me away. He was talking to a bunch of guys near the door and made me and my friend feel unwanted. There was a sign saying the place was a family establishment but there was some VERY inappropriate talk going on. My tattoo cost $80, which seemed high for a shop minimum, but I do like how it came out.

Got 3 tattoos done here. One was perfect but the guy went somewhere else to work and the other 2 were absolutely AWFUL! Ruined. The one guy ruined it because it faded everywhere and they had to redo it. Still faded. Then my other one faded too and it was rushed I could tell. Plus the guy ruined the position of the tattoo 3 times. Don’t go here if you want quality work done.
