I have gotten over 20 tattoos at University Ink from Leanna and Whitney and I cannot say enough good things about this shop! They are professional and incredibly talented artists. The prices are reasonable and they are more than happy to work with you. I will always recommend this shop!!

If I could give a lower rating, trust me I would. Went in and got my belly button pierced here, after about a week or so of pain anytime I moved in any sort of way I decided to go to my normal piercer (because University Ink was closed). The top part kept trying to embed in my skin, and I was hoping I could figure out what was wrong, anyways got to Lucky 7 in Monroe (they were absolute god sends in this horror show) and spoke with the woman behind the desk. She asked what I had been cleaning it with while I waited for the piercer, showed her the bottle that University Ink sold me and she was appalled. So much show, we took it to the other workers, and they were equally disgusted. It was pure chemicals, to the point that we couldn't even find everything that was in it. Like there wasn't an ingredients list. Also, I was told from Lucky 7 that I was meant to be taking Tylenol to help with the swelling and that I should have been told that to start with, but university ink didn't tell me anything. Anyways, got to the piercer and was told I needed to take it out ASAP. So she did it for me, and we threw the jewelry away because somehow it was already looking gross? It hasn't even been more than 2 weeks so the woman at Lucky 7 was even concerned for the piece of jewelry used. She told me the piercer pierced me wrong, and then she educated me on how to clean for my now wound. She was also extremely concerned that I might need to go to the hospital for the sheer ignorance of the woman who pierced me. They advised me of how long I should wait before getting it pierced again,and everything of the sort. It's had time to heal and now I've got two scars from the thing. The scars have literally pushed me past the point of anger. I'll never return here, and honestly would advise that no one else does either. Lucky 7 is so much better, and definitely worth the drive. They've done almost all my piercings, and from here on our will continue to be the only ones piercing me.

After driving all the way from Shreveport and waiting in line for 30 minutes we were told they were no longer taking anymore people for piercings! If you are going to advertise a promo you should be prepared!

Went to University Ink to get a cartilage (helix) pericing. The employee doing my piercing fiddled with the piercing for about 5-7 mins after puncturing my ear & after that preceded to tell me that the needle “hadn’t gone all the way through”. She then reprieved the same hole, which was very painful, & caused my ear to bleed severely. It also tooo her a significant amount of time to put the ring in my ear. That day i also got two other lobe percibes which went fine until the rings she put in cake out the following day. I bought the saltwater spray to clea my piercings but wasn’t given clear instructions on how to clean the pericing. My cartilage pericing, which i have been cleaning at least 3 times a day had only gotten more irritated & i have now taken the ring out for fear for infection. Poor service but the girl at the front desk was very nice. Would not recommend this place to anyone for a pericing.

We went to Joey for a personalized tattoo. The tattoo is very unique, with tight lines and detail. I HIGHLY recommend University Ink! Very professional, the staff is friendly, fun to be around, and the place is very clean and comfortable.

I wish I could write better things, but I got a cartlige piercing from here and it got infected. I did everything correctly but it was infected in a matter of hours. I had to take it out to heal and get another one done somewhere else. Not to mention the space isn't really the cleanest I've seen or would like to see from a tattoo parlor. Sorry, but I can't give more than 2 stars. Edit: Clearly by the response of the management, this establishment is unprofessional and does not need anyone's business. Feel free to drive to Cold Desert tattoo in Monroe. They have much better piercings service and a clean environment instead of actual dirt pushed into corners. :) Lowering my rating from a 2 star to a 1 star for unprofessionalism.

This place is really great to go to. It's not that expensive. I got my belly button pierced there yesterday and the piercing process was really fast , they just didn't stick with the 4 o'clock schedule. But other than that it's great .

I think the man's name who helped us was Joey. He was super kind and personable as well as very clean and quick. His lines are clean. Haven't gone to him for anything but script so far, but he did a great job with lettering. Overall great experience. The ladies at the front are very kind as well.
