By all means, Malcom was a cool guy! His larger tattoos seem to look very nice. However, my cousin had a smaller tattoo done and it looked aweful. Some lines were thicker than others when they should have been uniform. Some of the lines didn’t even meet where they should have. One line didn’t connect on either sides so it seemed to be floating. He finished another of her tattoos that was half done by another tattoo artist that passed away before she got it completed. After he finished it, it still looked unfinished and none of the tattoo seemed to flow together. I got my nipple pierce from him and he literally clamped then pierced. I’ve seen multiple videos where they inspect the clamp on both sides and adjust as needed, which he failed to do. Afterward I asked if it was supposed to look that big and he said “well this is what you get.” Didn’t tell me the length, type of metal, or any information about the jewelry and although I’m aware of piercing hygiene, didn’t bother to explain how to care for my new piercing. I asked another professional piercer and they said to take it out ASAP to minimize scarring because the piercing was too deep and shouldn’t go into the areola (it was pierced through the left side of my areola and not the right, making it asymmetrical and made the nipple itself appear larger than it is). This is my own personal experience and I’m not saying he does this with everyone but I got the impression that unless it’s a large tattoo where he’s making big bucks, he doesn’t seem to take his time.
