What an awesome shop. The artists there are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and more than happy to discuss exactly what it is you want. The shop is incredibly clean, cleaner than any other shop I've been in. On top of all of that, the artists are all incredibly talented. They care about what they do, and want the recipients of their work to be satisfied. I had a tattoo that I wanted for 10 years. I always told myself I'd get it once I found a tattoo artist that I was really happy with. I finally found that at High Resolution. Needlez did my work, and I could not be more happy with it. It looks amazing; the line work is clean, the colors are vibrant, and it healed very nicely (thanks to their instructions). What's more is that the artists are all really personable. I will recommend this shop to anyone and everyone who wants a great looking tattoo. You're not going to find better anywhere around here. Any time I need a tattoo from now on, I'm going to High Resolution.

I did extensive research on tattoo studios in Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas and decided that I really liked this studio based on reviews and pictures of their work. Upon researching I also discovered that half the artists left, and opened their own studio called Leviathan Studios. I booked an online appointment with High resolution a month ago. I got no reply. I called several times during studio hours. No answer. I left voicemails. No return call. So after weeks of not being being able to get in touch with someone I made the hour long drive into Baton Rouge, and "walked in" during business hours and surprise surprise no one was there! I had enough and went over to Leviathan and spoke with Needlez. He booked me for the following week. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and accommodating, and of course was not surprised to hear about my experience with this studio. You can't do business with people who don't want to do business!

I went in for my first tattoo and the artist was was cool, patient, and made the experience easy for me. The environment was friendly, clean, and welcoming. Update* The tattoo healed and didn't look as great as when it was first done. A lot of the ink came off (even though I kept it moisturized & clean) and made the tattoo look aged--some of the lines were faded and you can see very little detail. Overall it's not horrible, but compared to his other work, this tattoo wasn't his best quality. I did speak to the artist and he said he would correct whatever is needed, however, I'd rather go to another artist that displays consistency. I will probably go to Eric Guidry in Lafayette to go over it again. Their retainer is the same but the quality is different. Update* 04/16 after my previous update, I was sent a very unprofessional and condescending text at 8am about my review from Markus Bankhead. I'll be sure to let anyone that asks me about a tattoo know about my after experience with Markus Bankhead. Remember to go to Eric Guidry! Go browse his website for some amazing CONSISTENT pieces .

Markus did my first tattoo last night and I couldn't have asked for a better job or a better artist to do it ! He took the picture I gave him and basically shot it up with steroids ! I'm proud to say I have a 100% original piece done by Markus ! I now know why I searched and hunted for the perfect shop and the perfect artist for 3 years before I ever got it done ! Markus sat me down and went over everything realizing my terrible work schedule he was willing to stay late to finish my whole tattoo in one session ! 5 hours later and this is the finished product but those 5 hours flew by! If anyone is looking for a place to get a tattoo this is the place to get it done and I highly recommend checking out Markus and his work ! You won't be let down !

If i could put negative stars i would. Atmosphere is very nice. I called 3 times before i walked in . The tattoo i was getting is very small takes very little time. I arrived 55 minutes before closing. When i called i asked when they closed and they said it depends on the tattoos. 3 artists wrapped up as i sat there and did not have the repsect to take me in. Why say you are a walk in clinic when your artists do not care about walk inside time? I drove 45 minutes to get there and i waited an hour seeing multiple artists being free and just had other things to do . I may add it was not closing time yet and my tattoo would take 15 minutes. It is just a birthday in Roman numerals and intials of my children very small. Which i already have some lines i wanted to add my newest child. So i waited and waited and then was basically told in w nice way to leave. Come back tomorrow? I do not think so! I drive all the way across town and am invisible why would it drive back to that kind of treatment. Total waste of my time. Suggestion do not say you stay after . And don't say you take walk ins. Or make your artist have respect for the walk in that has sat there an hour's time. The tattoos look great but the service sucks.well i didn't get any dlso the lack thereof.

Kurtus did a tattoo for me and he did an amazing job! He listened to everything I said and really captured what I was looking for. My tattoo looks badass, and I couldn't be happier. The shop is very clean and everyone is very friendly and it's obvious that they take their job seriously. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone I know!

Awesome, got my first tattoo here, they even do hand tattoos. Explained very well how hand tattoos heal and such, i ended up almost passing out but they stopped the tattoo process, took a break, gave me a banana and some gum to make sure i was getting enough sugar haha. Very friendly and nice staff, awesome finished product and great price.

i highly recommend Jordan Cain. i had a horrible piece of work on my back by a previous artist and Jordan came in clutch and made me a sick cover up and will be doing the rest of my ink! everyone in that shop is very talented and well mannered. they keep it very clean also! best shop in town!

Best shop in Baton Rouge hands down!! The artist are great. Bank Head is awesome. Anything you need, they have someone there that can knock it out the park. My favorite shop that I’ve been in. The best part is that they are honest and realistic about things. Great conversations and many laughs as well. Wonderful atmosphere

Definitely 5 stars. I got a watercolor tattoo piece done tonight by a guy name Needlez and I love my tattoo!!! (A cute girl with umbrella etc... ) The tattoo artist was bad ass, he was profesional but not a stuck-up. Made me feel comfortable without getting out of line and he knows what he is doing. Unfortunately they need to update their website because those picture are really old BUT you can see more work on their individual Instagram, the pictures on here don't do justice to their work. The store is clean and everyone is friendly. I have been to many tattoo places where the customer service sucks. What makes this tattoo store awesome is actually their employees, when you get in the store they actually pay attention to you....

They are good at doing tattoos. Got my first one here. But they have a $60 minimum and it took the guy took 45 to 50 minutes doing my ink and he charged me $200. I didn’t have a very detailed or big tattoo. They definitely over price. A friend of mine has a tattoo 3x’s as big as mine and way more detailed and he paid the same price I did. They were nice and the shop was very clean along with the tools. The man washed his hands and put on germ-x bf he put his gloves on and he wrapped the tray and pulled out fresh needles and sanitized them before using them. So they are very clean and thorough with there job. But they OVERPRICED but I don’t regret going. I love my tattoo just wish they wouldn’t have overpriced.

Chris Starscream had a month to work with me on my tattoo and all I got for my hundred dollars was a pieced together sketch for my full back piece and he kept 50 dollars of my down posite and he said it was my responsibility to schedule a consultation. Like really I'm the customer I don't know your schedule I'm not a mind reader and he never contacted me first I had to push to get him to talk to me. And that was just through a text and I'm getting a full back piece I felt like I wasn't a valued customer I fully expect to pay a few grand to get this tattoo totally disappointed I would never recommend this place after that. More over he didn't care to listen to what he did wrong he put all of the blame on me like really guy you are getting f***ing paid by me for your time

I just want to say that I absolutely LOVE my tattoos that Chris did for me! In just less than a weeks time I've gotten so many compliments. The coloring is perfect and he captured my ideas perfectly! Absolutely wonderful tattoo shop! I drove all the way from Lake Charles to have Needlez to my daisy piece that I have been planning for months. I had a very specific image in my head and he was able to do exactly what I wanted. The shop is exceptionally clean. I could not recommend this place more. Definitely worth the price and drive. I only dealt with Needlez but everyone I met there was incredibly nice and helpful. Very relaxed feel, which always makes the process of having a needle drug across your skin more fun. They all have full portfolios to view so you can pick the artist that is right for you. I just cannot say enough good things about this place!

Called High Resolution to set up an appointment to speak with an artist and get a quote for a piece I wanted. I was told to just come in and don't worry about an appointment. When I got there the tattoo artist told me she doesn't do what I wanted and told me to leave my number and another artist would get in touch with me. I never recieved a phone call and have since taken my buisness elsewhere.

The artist are extremely talented! My artist was Markus Bankhead and did and absolute phenomenal job on my tattoo, the detail is incredible! I don't just have a tattoo I have a piece of art! The shop is extremely clean, their attention to detail when it come to a sterile work place is incredible, my doctors office isn't this clean! There wasn't even dust on anything, not even lent on the a/c ducts. Trust your artist. You can't necessarily get exactly what you want. When I went in I had a general idea of what I wanted. I even had a copy of a tattoo that i had gotten off the internet. My artist advised my that I should be looking at art and paintings based on what I wanted. After doing some homework, listening to my artist I finally got the tattoo I always wanted and better than I could've hoped for. I put my trust in my artist and we discussed what I wanted and he invisioned and went with it. If you want a high quality piece of body art I strongly suggest High Resolution! One more thing to add TIP YOUR ARTIST! You tip your server when you go out eat, you tip your hair stylist, your bartender, it only seems logical to TIP your artist who is giving you a piece of art on your body that will be there for Life!

Went in to get my navel pierced for the third time (last two times weren't done well) and would highly recommend going there. Needlez is very knowledgeable and awesome! He took the time to explain what he was doing and to mark out where the piercing would be so it was centered. Very clean place, and am looking forward to getting my tat there!

I have never had this kind of experience with the professionalism, attention to detail, and healing process until I went to the incredible, dexterous Markus Bankhead! I have eleven tattoos but the one that has been a humiliation was Salvador Dali's 'City of Drawers'. I wasn't expecting a miracle because I honestly thought it was hopeless but I put my trust into Markus to cover this up the best he could and I just cannot believe that he was able to take an already quite large tattoo and turn it into the EXACT painting. He is,in my experience from previous tats, incredibly skilled. The pain was very minimal plus It's only been one week and I have never had a tat heal this quickly. His knowledge of aftercare was the complete opposite of what I was always told to do before...and it paid off. I plan on doing two more cover-ups and he is the only one I will go to from now on. I wish I had a close-up of my before but this man is incredibly talented!

Me and my boyfriend went in there today to speak with someone about possibly covering up a tattoo. First off, the receptionist couldn’t stop what she was doing long enough to see what we needed. We then spoke with a artist named Jordan about doing a coverup and hei was about the rudest anyone could be. We just wanted a idea to see if the coverup could be done but instead he suggested to get the old tattoo removed then he’d do the tatto we’d like. He said to go get a shop card and call him after we got it removed. So we go to the front to find a card and they didn’t even have any and the receptionist didn’t care to help. This place needs to focus on customer service and just overall their general attitude. They weren’t even busy at 3pm when we went in there. Why get a tattoo removed when we just found a shop not even a mile down the road that would do cover it up no problem? Jordan didn’t even seem to be interested and obviously didn’t want our business which is fine. 10 out of 10 I would never recommend someone to go here. If you can’t take the time to consult a future client, you need to find a new profession.

I am one of those guys that is very picky. I’ve been getting good ink done for the last few years. High resolution studio has a friendly staff, clean shop, and good attitudes. Very professional and friendly. They make you feel welcome and important. A lot of artists are A-Holes. These guys have good customer service and care more about the customer than themselves. The way a business should be ran. Most shops are crazy with the profanity and rude behavior. These guys are not only friendly and professional, but honestly a lot of fun. They were cool with me bringing my wife and made her feel comfortable as well. Jordan did a very difficult area on my back that is absolutely painful. He made the outline a breeze and was very patient. I’m very impressed with his attention to detail and care. He made sure to set the stencil until he had everything symmetrical. Most people would have just gone for it. He did a very large area in 2 hours. I’m so impressed! Jordan Cain is the Mane!
