I have tattoos from two different artist at Syndicate as well as one from Stray Cat. I have tattoos from Anthony and Adrian. They both are great artist and did really good work. Very friendly, professional and put you at ease. They are both very patient and really put in the time to make sure everything is perfect- for example they don't make you feel like you are wasting their time if you want to change something or adjust placement etc (unlike Stray Cat). The prices are very reasonable without being a "dirt cheap tattoos" type place. The atmosphere is bright and friendly with artist chatting with customers casually. You really feel welcomed. I will say that the only thing I found off putting is that the counter lady can be a little unfriendly at first but thats probably from dealing with a lot of jackasses who waste her time daily that never actually put any money up. Overall I would highly recommend this shop and plan to go back myself.

Me and my wife went three years ago for her first tattoo. We both got tatted by Jason and the experience was wonderful. He was pretty quick getting them done, art work was amazing, specially his line work and him just like the rest of the staff was friendly and very professional. We went in yesterday for piercings this time. It was pretty full but the staff worked quickly and proficiently to get everyone in and out. While waiting a older gentleman had not so nice things to say about what language and people should be allowed in the U.S. I won't lie, there was a heated discussion but the staff stepped in and let gentleman know that "that type of behavior was not excepted and that his appointment was canceled". I have never gone to a place here in Kansas where they have shown me and my family so much respect, just like anyone should be shown the same. We felt secure and peaceful. Thank you guys for standing up for what's right. Definitely coming back. This place is full of laughs, happiness, positivity, peace and something a lot of places forget about; respect. Love this place and the atmosphere in it.

Got a nose piercing done here ($55) and the staff was very friendly and super funny. I was a bit nervous but John made sure I was okay after getting a little dizzy and made sure I understood how to care for it. Overall a very good place for piercings and tattoos!

Well, got my first tattoo here. Simple (may not that simple as it's Arabic?) words on inner wrist. The letters were slightly bigger and thicker than I wanted, but I was told that was the smallest font (I don't quite understand as I've seen others having smaller ones) they can go. Initial result after healing was ok but not perfect as edges of some letters were not sharp straight and the ink was not even among all the letters. So I scheduled a retouch. He quickly gave some fixing on the letters I asked for, but slightly made me feel him being impatient and indifferent... Everything happened too fast (5min initial work + 5min fixing) and now with even thicker lines and less space between letters, he told me "you know that these lines will become thicker in a couple years..." And he pointed his own tattoo as an example for me. It had been too late for me to say anything... The I (the initial Alif) became obese and had a unproportional fat bottom. I realized only now that the letters would join each other and become illiterate in the future. I was just too upset and it's useless to say anything after it's already done. I really really don't understand how he didn't tell me that before he actually added those lines with heavy hand!!! Arrrrgggghhhh~~~~ To avoid being in my position, make sure you talk (before anything is done) SUFFICIENTLY so that you are confident that your "artist" understand what you want. If it's foreign language, make sure they know how to write it properly. It may not be particularly interesting for the "artist" if your tattoo is just too simple so that they might be indifferent and don't pay much attention or care. It's especially important that YOU insist that they give their best performance because nothing is too simple to you, and you want it to be perfect even though it's just a straight line. People with soft personalities, you need to be tough on this. Just DO NOT rush into it!

I got my nose re-pierced here and it has healed up so much better and faster than it did when I originally got it done at a different shop. I was able to walk-in on a whim and I only had to wait for maybe 15-20 minutes for the two people who were ahead of me. It was quick and easy but he also made sure I knew how to take care of it and he assured me that I could go back for help with it at any time.

Very friendly. Got a belly button piercing. The piercer was very thorough with making sure the placement was right and giving proper instructions of how to take care of it during the healing process. And the piercing did not hurt a bit!

Syndicate has an extremely caring staff and I’m very pleased with my experience. I came here to get my smiley done and the piercing process was very professional. After getting it done I felt dizzy and John got me juice box and made sure I felt ok before leaving. A few weeks later I had a complication with my smiley, which can happen to anyone, and I was frustrated that I wouldn’t be able to wear it again. I told them about my frustrations, they listened, and made me feel valued. John went above and beyond and I’m still able to wear my smiley, so I am the most happy about that. I can’t wait to get more piercings here and I highly, highly recommend.

This place was clean, and well organized. The staff was extremely nice and helped me with my first and second tattoo. Jason is very talented and turned my ideas into the perfect tattoos. There were minor tweaks I asked him to make to the sketch before he started tattooing and he did it for me no problem. When I went back for my second tattoo he touched up my previous one at no cost. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

I got my daith pierced somewhere without doing enough research. After six months of pain a friend referred me to John at Syndicate. Within five minutes I had a new, appropriately sized, ring and some sound advice on care. My daith was 80% better in less than a week. John's the man! Everyone made me feel very comfortable and I only got a little bit of grief for not doing my research the first time (it was kind of like getting reprimanded by an older brother and was WELL deserved haha).

I have been to tattoo shops all over the country that are filled with egotistical, rude front desk staff and artists. Syndicate is NOT that kind of shop! The artists' talent speaks for itself. What a breath of fresh air. I have gotten wonderful piercings from John and tattoos from Lindsey. She is so sweet, passionate and skilled. She's doing such great work on me. I have received a few piercing from John, and some not by him. I have only had an issue with one piercing which he did his best to fix although it was not originally done by him. He was very helpful and accommodating as well as offered great suggestions and showed he wanted the piercing to be right and heal correctly. I believe this says a lot about a piercer and a shop with how they treat their clients. I highly recommend John.

This place is only after your money. The receptionist was extremely rude and wouldn't even let me get a word in. She just kept referring me to their website. You would think I had ebola the way she acted. Never before have I seen such horrible customer service. Even at Walmart, and that's saying a lot. I don't know how they are still in business if that's how this place is run. I only give them one star because I have to.

When I made the appointment my service dog was with me I told him that I would not have my dog with me when I want to come in for the tattoo that my husband would beiwith me instead. They were very kind and understanding they told me that if I need both of them there with me then bring them. As for my tattoo I couldn't of asked for a better job. He did outstanding work. He had to correct a tattoo that I had done somewhere else and they did a wonderful job. I do not know the name of the person that did my tattoo but I believe that he was the owner I would definitely recommend this tattoo shop to anybody

Artists and Veterans stay away! They do not honor or treat either with respect. They kick you out and threaten to call the police on you if you don't leave when you call the owner out on his dishonest & unethical business policies. If you're an artist, and bring your own work in for a tattoo, DO NOT let them make a copy of it. It's shop policy that once you allow them to make a copy your artwork becomes their property. This happened to me today, when I came in to find out about how much they'd charge for a mother/daughter tattoo I designed. They refused to give the copy of my work back to me, claiming it was now their property because they made a copy of it. Check my Yelp review of their shop for a full account of what happened. Syndicate is the only shop in the manhattan area that I would consider going to because of how great their work is. Adrian has designed my whole left sleeve and it came out better than I could've expected. I live in Wichita where shops are a dime a dozen and I still make the 2 1/2 hour commute any time I want more work done.

Great work! I came to Matt with a sloppy first session tattoo that had crooked lines, and no depth to any of the art. Matt was able to somehow straighten the lines and add so much depth to my art. Unfortunately, I had to leave for a deployment before I could finish the piece with him, but look forward to returning home and scheduling my next session with him. This is the top tattoo shop to go to. The pricing is super expnesive, though they do charge hourly, and the artists are genuine about their work. Everything was handled professionally and the standard is held high. Great shop! My one gripe is that, the artists are not as helpful. maybe so they can't be to blame for a bad tattoo, but they are like doctors, they don't really answer your specific questions. They give you a vague run around hoping you can answer it yourself so they are not held liable.

More expensive than most tattoo shops Ive ever been too. The same as most other Manhattan, KS businesses.. This is generally refered to as the "college/military kid tax". There is absolutely no reason to justify the higher prices. The artists here aren't above average in the slightest so what warrants these prices??? A lot of the art I was shown was basically mediocre. What I found worst of all is that this place is staffed by a bunch of weirdos from whom I got a strong inclination (from over hearing some of the bizarre conversation in this place) that they are seemingly radical freaks.

If you go to Syndicate, DON'T go to Anthony. ANYONE BUT him. Can't even get a simple ring around the finger right. Asked him if it could be corrected, he said it'd be $50 again. I asked what about it being crooked and uneven? Then he got rude "I'm not interested, find someone else to do it" in a condescending tone. Faded from the beginning, crooked and uneven widths. Some "professional"...

Had amazing service. I had a belly ring before which rejected, and a guy at a different shop gave me a bad experience. They were very friendly answered all of my questions about my nose ring and making sure I was getting the best thing for me (side to be put on, ring vs. stud type of metal etc.) and were very patient with me (I am a fainter and he let me sit in his chair until I thought I was okay despite getting ready to close). All in all a very very good experience, and reasonably priced. It was very clean and the staff joked around with me. Will 100% be returning

I absolutely love them! I got my very first tattoo here on the 3rd...and all I have to say is they're all so incredible! Tony was my artist and he was nothing but happy and friendly and kind, as well as the other artists, they all had their own banter and ways to make the atmosphere more relaxing. I recommend this place to anyone I can now haha they're reasonably priced for the amount and quality of work that they do and I couldn't be happier about my tattoo.

They're frauds. My friends are no stranger to ink and have been pierced here before with no problem. They both made appointments for 1 PM for a new tattoo and when showed up was told it was at noon, the card said 1, but they will not honor the original time and stole $100, refusing to refund it as well. That is no small amount.

This place is completly overated. I saw their work and thats why they deserve a 3. However pricing wise was not cool. I was going to get a a small forearm piece and he quoted $200. In Texas where im orginally from, I could've got it for less than $100 and BETTER QUALITY. SMH small town, just because you the only dont mean you charge people out the ass. Also their hours are completly stupid and ridiculous.

I have taken my daughter to Syndicate a few separate times to have her tragus and rook pierced. John Fitzgerald is amazing! He is open and honest about everything up front, polite, and courteous. I have gotten 3 piercings from John and he's amazing. I have quite a few piercings and I've been to 4 different piercers in 4 different city's, syndicate's prices are fair and in line with everywhere else I've been. You get what you pay for. You're getting high quality jewelry and an experienced piercer. I also really appreciate that he will change your piercing for you, for free! Some piercings are difficult to change by yourself, especially at first. I was also tattooed by Tony, he turned a picture the sice of a nickel into a two inch tattoo and it looks great.

I got my first piercing here (my tongue) and the piercer was amazing and very understanding. I didn't really shop around price wise so I'm not sure what a "normal" price is but I thought the $40 they charged was very reasonable. I went back after it healed and he changed out the jewelry for me. Edit - I ended up going back and getting my belly button done. Same great experience!

I have gotten both a tattoo here and some piercings here. Jason, the artist, was great. Very clean and professional. Great to talk with about what you want and delivers it. Saw both my fiance and I on the same appointment. One of the best tattooing experiences I've had. Jason was also very keen to check up on my tattoo when I returned to get some piercings. Will definitely be coming back for more. John, the piercer, was also great. Described what exactly he would do and what it would feel like and that's what happened. Talked with me about my concerns about a septum piercing and answered all my questions. It was done and over with before I could blink. Will be returning for this as well! Both services are priced well. Had a great time here.
