My experience at Sea Wolf was fabulous. When first stepping inside you notice how unique and clean the shop is. I love the way the place is put together and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. I worked with Jason and he was absolutely amazing! He drew something up for me and when I saw it, I couldn't have been happier, until he finished my tattoo then I was over the moon! He was friendly and easy to talk to and made the whole experience that much better. My tattoo healed up very quickly with very little scabbing. Sea Wolf Tattoo is so awesome, and I will definitely be going back very soon.

My experience with Sea Wolf was amazing. From the time I first stepped into the shop to discuss my tattoo, I felt comfortable and knew it was the right choice. The shop itself was clean and open, the staff was welcoming and friendly. For my tattoo, I worked with Mimi and she was great! I sent her "rough" ideas as a starting point. Then we discussed the ideas and possible options. Throughout the process - she was collaborative, listened to my ideas, shared her own design perspective. In the end, I have an amazing tattoo. Its just the style and design I was going for - a great looking, traditional american tattoo. I could not have imagined a better outcome. From start to finish, this was an awesome experience and would highly recommend it. I'm definitely going back!

Stopped by after a recommendation from a friend. The artist was quick to help, share his opinions on my design and schedule an appointment for a week later. The job was quickly done and extremely well done. I came ready to spend over an hour and it was done in just about an hour. At the end I shared my next design to which he promptly shared his ideas. So I'll definitely be back!

As soon as I saw Jason Walstrom's incredible portfolio on their webpage, I knew this would be the shop that I had to get my first tattoo from. Nevermind that he came with extremely high recommendations from nearly everyone I've spoken to in the tattooing community, nevermind he has years of experience in traditional style tattooing, and nevermind that his business practices were the epitome of professional. I chose Jason because of his singular vision, he breathes new life into classic tattoo styles with bold, beautiful colors and intricate linework. The well-decorated shop, his speedy work, and the extremely affordable price were just icing on the cake.

She is way cooler than me but approachable and easy to talk to. Her creativity and passion for her work is something special. My experience at Sea Wolf was nothing shy of exceptional. Easy to find, extremely clean and obviously very talented artists. When i went in, i had an idea of what i wanted but needed someone who knew how to make it come to life in a tattoo. Within a half hour i had a drawing of my soon to be new "ink" and was extremely pleased even before the tattooing started. Jason, the owner is not only a great tattoo artist but also very honest and professional in giving advice on how to make your tattoo everything you expect it to be. I have limited background how the ink changes over time and sizes/colors, etc... he gave me great advice and an even better tattoo. It's been a little under a week and i can not stop looking at how amazing it is. Sea Wolf is top notch, i would highly recommend Jason and his collegues - great atmosphere with extremely talented individuals.

I was visiting MN for a small period in August and wanted to get a tattoo for my birthday. I unfortunately Had to reschedule a few times and had already made my deposit. Totally understandable! However, after months of asking, I haven’t received a return or the drawings I’d hoped would be made with that $100 deposit. And I’m actually being ignored completely. I wouldn’t recommend based on customer service though the team seems amazingly skilled.

My best friend and I went here for her first tattoo on her 30th birthday. James (the artist with the charming Australian accent and adorable smile) was funny, welcoming, and made sure my friend was comfortable every step of the way. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an insanely beautiful atmosphere (complete with fantastic art on the ceilings), super easy-going artists who will joke around with you, and incredibly talented artists who love what they do. I’m still psyching myself up for my first tat, but when I’m ready I know where to go!

Now let me start off by saying I don't have a large collection of tattoos, but i happen to get my first from Jason Walstrom the owner, and he was nothing but supportive and helpful in realizing the best and cleanest ideas for my tattoos. Dylan and Mimi are excellent tattoo artists as well. The tattoo shop has an awesome old tyme feel, complete with a pew from an old church to the excellent collection of antiques and taxidermy. It also warms the heart to know that a business like this can be so professional while still having an intimate setting. I will definitely return for the rest of my tattoo adventures. Also, juicy lucys are available at matt's bar down the street. Sounds like the perfect set up in the perfect location!!!!!

Coming here was a surprise that I found out about last minute. From out of state so this was discussed with the artist. Told my GF that I could walk in and would be no problem to work out a tattoo with me. She even shot him some ideas. When we got there he acted like me not having any ideas on what I wanted was a problem. I asked him about his original pieces and eventually just gave him an idea as he didn't say much. Drew up a sketch (watered down version of what I asked for) I went with it because I most likely would never be back to Minnesota for my state piece and figured at least this easy 30 minute tattoo will be reasonably priced. Man was I wrong. Most expensive piece on my leg and the lowest quality. Lines looks like sharpie marker.

I am 61 years old, and I doubt that I will be getting more tattoos, but if I do I will definitely have Mimi do them. You will love working with her.

I went to jason for my 4th tattoo (1st with him) and he changed the way I look at tattoos. Not only does he do great tattoos, he offers unbiased advice on how to make it the best tattoo. His work is BOLD and compared to my other ink, it was more affordable AND has stayed more vibrant and fresh. The shop is one of a kind, clean, and comfortable. Hands down best place to get a tattoo in the metro area!

I will say the work and tattoo turned out great! There was 2 guys there when we were in. One was the owner. If you are looking for friendly tattoo artists... these are NOT them. They come off as extremely cocky and good luck chatting with them. I was really turned off by their attitudes and customer service. I get it, your so unique and artsy and don't have time for us folks doing just a more simple tattoo. I was doing this in honor of my father who passed away recently and would have much rather gone somewhere that made you feel comfortable. There is saying that when people have a bad experience, they will tell 10 people and when they have a good one they tell 1. My husband has tons of tattoos and he was planning to go here to finish his sleeve soon, I told him not to waste his time. You might do good work, but good attitude goes a LONG way. I would suggest taking lessons on how to provide quality customer service, you still run a business and the way you treat people matters!

My experience with Ben as an artist has been beyond satisfactory. The two pieces so far that he has done have been stunning. I am already planning my next piece because I am so happy with the outcome. He does not have a overly heavy hand and is pacient if you need a moment and reassures you that you are making good progress. I am kind of wimpy when it comes to tatoo pain but I have two pieces in delicate areas and have to say I am ready to go at it again. He has done exactly what I want and I give him five stars because these are permanent and I have no regrets and am greatful to be so satisfied with his work. Thanks again Ben and you will be hearing from me again soon. I have trust in his work so I advise if you are planning to get a tatoo I would without a doubt go to Ben. I'm sure the other artists there are great but I have not tried them but Ben is top quality in my opinion. Not a pretentious or uncomfortable atmosphere and extremely reasonably priced in my opinion. I checked out the Sea Wolf after doing some research on the ol' internet. I was looking for something different that could set itself apart from the rest. I decided to give the new guy a shot, and it was definitely worth it. The shop is well decorated, comfortable, and clean in appearance. The owner Jason really knows his stuff and gave me an awesome tattoo that I am proud of. I looked through the work of Dylan and Mimi and plan on getting tattooed by them as well. "Gentle" J was very comfortable to work with and made the tattoo and experience exceptional. Both Jason and J were fantastic about providing background on how the ink changes over time and recommendations on sizes/colors, etc...which helped to guide decisions with our tattoos. Aftercare direction was solid and so helpful. Going back in March for another tattoo with Jason, the owner. Great, talented guys. This will be shop of choice from now on and highly recommend to anyone looking to get inked.

I’ve been going to Sea Wolf Tattoo Co. for about two years can can’t imagine a better tattooing experience. I was pretty nervous going in for my 1st piece, but Mimi was super helpful and open to my concerns and questions. She walked me through each step of the tattoo making sure I was comfortable and happy. You can tell everyone in the shop takes their art seriously and are complete professionals. Not only are they concerned with making sure you are happy, but they also just really want you to leave with a top notch piece of art. Beyond the talent and service, the shop space is so great! The open environment, vintage aesthetic, and pleasant music, all adds up to a great experience. I love this place!
