The WORST experience I have ever had. The women will make you feel like a child for asking questions to make a very informed adult decision. If you want to be shamed about your choice in ink and placement maybe consider here. I would give 0 stars if I could. STAY AWAY

Seriously a nightmare. My artist took a phone call in the middle of my session and announced he was going to rush my tattoo since he's "busy", though he didn't seem too busy when he was literally yelling across the shop to his coworkers when they weren't within speaking range as they chatted. My ears were honestly ringing by the time I left. The tattoo outline doesn't look bad but the shading is complete garbage, I'm pretty sure he pressed down too hard when outlining, as I had a bruise surrounding the tatt way darker than any tattoo bruise I've had before. Cheap shops are cheap shops, don't let college kids tattoo you.

I walked in, and I felt unwelcome and stared at. The waiting area is a pathetic two couches on the other side of the room and the girl at the desk was rude and didn't know anything about the appointments for the day. It took her 10 minutes to tell me the piercist was doing a tattoo until 7pm. Go to Lasting Impressions instead.

My friend and I walked in and they were able to get both of us right in. Our tattoos looked just like the pictures we gave them. I had Kyle and he was great! I very much enjoyed my experience.

I was in during my first tattoo and this college kid came in asking for a simple outline of a triangle. They said no problem to it and the kid gave his reasoning why he wanted it and everone there told him that it was an awesome idea. Once he was finished and got his tattoo and walked out the door they made fun of the fact he got it and talked bad about his tattoo choice. As I was still sitting there getting mine. I have gotten 6 tattoos from them and every time I go in it seems to be getting worse and worse of them making fun of a client who just got a tattoo. They are rude. They do good work but if they talk about other clients that walk out the door. What do they say about me when I walk out right after getting a tattoo. Makes me wonder. Next tattoo will be done somewhere else. The atmosphere here doesn't seem friendly. One guy that works there flat out called me a liar because i was talking about my tattoo experiences and how i don't find them to be painful.

The people were very nice! I had my tattoo done by Berry. Even though we don't have the same preferences in military branches. Lol. He did an awesome job and looking forward to contacting him for my next one when I'm back home.

The Asylum is cheap compared to other places, piercings are almost half price compared to others. Tattoos are one of those, "You get what you pay for" things. Many of my friends have ink from here, but I would go someplace else. When I got my nipples pierced, the chick didn't even say anything and made it really uncomfortable while I waited. Heroic Ink is where it's at people!

Went in today, got a touch up done by dan. He was very nice and helpful with sketching up a tattoo afterwards. even gave me a deal on my touch up since it was so small (birdcage on my ring finger) also did a great job fixing mistakes left by original tattoo artist.

Don’t go here for piercings. Forrest is a fantastic piercer but if you get any of their other staff members you will not be satisfied. The girl was rude and unprofessional. She took 20 minutes to fit a suspended bead ring piercing on my conch. It was not what I had described I wanted at all. She fit the wrong size three times for my ear. Took way longer than it should have. She wasn't knowledgeable or friendly. Then she said I can’t get a refund on the jewelry when I was clearly unsatisfied. Don’t go here you will get screwed over!!!!!

Absolutely terrible job. He couldn't sketch my design so he changed it on my body and did a terrible job. My fox looks like a weasle and the lines are wobbly and just terrible. The guy Kyle smoked weed to calm down before he started. My first and last experience with them.

My tattoo was porly done, was told that I would get to have it finished for no charge, event back for my second appointment and still had to wait over an hour for someone ahead of me. I had an appointment. Now I'm going to Heroic ink instead see if they can fix this mess.

I couldn't tell you if their ink/piercing work is any good or not because I couldn't get past the lack of manners the gentleman who answered the phone had. I have never talked to anyone who made a customer feel so incompetant rather than trying to make someone (who's paying for your service ) more knowledgable.

The tattoo I got looks great. Berry did a great job. Though, everyone was kind of unprofessional. Talking across the room, even while tattooing, trash talking other customers when they leave, and overall just not that friendly. Loved the work, but probably won’t be back

one of them pierced my friend’s ears and one earring is way up near where a second ear piercing would be while the first is in a normal spot. they said they’d stay put while i went to grab my ID and closed in the 5 minutes i was gone. trashy, unprofessional, and rude. don’t go for piercings.

The guy was very rude. All I wanted was my nose to be pierced, he did it quickly i thought and next thing you know, its infected I've had all my piercings done at Heroic Ink and I have never had an infected piercing but the day I was in ames I found out they aren't open on mondays anymore so I go there and I wish I would have waited. I recommend Heroic ink to anyone please don't go to the Asylum

Berry was very unprofessional. When I didn't like his design, he threw a temper tantrum. When he finally, consented to fixing a tattoo that I hated, he was very rough and may have bruised behind my ear. All this from what turned out to be a mediocre artist. At best.

Do not go here for piercings. I had my forward helix pierced here and it was pierced to close to the edge of my helix and it has now come out of the side of my ear. I did all of the cleaning and proper care as I have multiple ear piercings. I did not even get the courtesy of a warning. Terrible
