I've had 6 tattoos done in about 5 different shops, I chose Body Language for my 7th and It was far above my expectations. MR.Bill worked w/ me every step of the way and I trust his experience. His attention to detail and powerful procrastination powers allow him to focus on the task at hand, which is making magic happen on skin! I know for a lot of people getting a tattoo is beyond a personal experience and can be a little intimidating, But everyone here is friendly and knows their stuff. I was visiting Indianapolis from Texas, and Yes I am definitely going back. It's well worth the trip! Keep up the Sick work guys!

I got my cartilage pierced by Tom. He informed me well of everything he was doing from the moment I sat down in the chair. The equipment was clean and the work space was clear. I felt safe with the process and all of my questions were answered by Tom and Susie. Susie, at the front desk, was very sweet and friendly. She answered questions that I had also. I felt very out of place in a situation I was already nervous about. If you are planning to get your first tattoo or piercing, I would recommend going somewhere else unless you want to be treated with disrespect.

I want to start off by saying if you're looking to get a tattoo, look no further. I've been to a few tattoo shops around the Indianapolis (and Houston, TX) area and this shop is by far the best I've ever encountered. I've had a bad experience with my last two tattoo artists (hence why I no longer go to either) so I was really hesitant to go and get any more work done. I googled tattoo shops in the area and read every review. This shop has the best reviews and I completely understand. The whole staff is incredibly friendly and genuine. You can tell that the love their jobs and they enjoy people. They've really left a great impression on me and I'll be recommending them to anyone and everyone. I've been to tattoo artist at well known shops that every and their mother goes to and honestly, I don't understand the big deal. THESE GUYS ARE THE REAL DEAL. Great price and great work. I took my little sister here to get her ears pierced as a Christmas gift from me. She always had issues with them staying, so this time we tried at a shop. She was really nervous about getting it done, as it was going to be her seventh, painful time. The guys at the shop were very nice and joked with us the whole time. I think it really helped my sister relax. Dakota was her piercer, and he did a great job! He made sure many times that not only was my sister happy with the placement,but that I was as well. (She plans to stretch and I want to make sure she does everything right and isn't going to have a hard time.) He is now going to be my go to guy. Her ears look great and she was even smiling by the end of the second one. (:

I got a geometric tattoo on my ribs from Zi yesterday. Rib tattoos are some of the most difficult to execute, and the fact that mine involved a series of straight lines made it even more challenging. I talked to several artists before I came to Zi. Each one of them tried to talk me out of it. Zi was not only willing to do the difficult tattoo, he nailed it! I couldn't be happier! If you want your tattoo done right, go to Zi. Also, he throws in some hilarious conversation for free.

We will DEFINITELY be returning. My daughter wanted her 6th piercing. She's been wanting it for awhile but her normal piercer moved away. We were hesitant to allow her to get another one from someone we didn't know. The last individual we went to (because we followed a referral from a friend of a friend of a friend) didn't do a very good job & she was forced to remove the jewelry & let the hole close up. I'm so so very glad that previous customers took the time to write such wonderful & accurate reviews of this establishment. I've gone for one tattoo, which was a very good tattoo, but if you go there for anything DEFINITELY go there for piercings!! Turtle is the BEST piercer I have ever met, I always feel very comfortable going to him, he explains the process in depth, answers any and every question (even questions for people who aren't the one getting pierced), and makes sure you're 100% before getting it! I have gotten 4 piercings from him and they are all PERFECT and heal amazingly!! And prices for piercings are great! It didn't hurt as bad as I thought it was and he was very informative before and after piercing me. I didn't feel rushed, nor did I feel like he rushed. I was looking to get a tattoo so I decided to begin researching tattoo shops around where I live. I live an hour outside of Indianapolis, so I decided to check some shops out. I ran across Body Language and was greeted with a 5 star rating and many amazing reviews. I set up an appointment about a week out and yesterday, my friend and I headed over. She was getting a conch piercing done by Turtle, and let me tell you, he is absolutely amazing. He talked her through it, made some jokes and silly comments, and walked her through the entire thing. He did an absolutely amazing job. Mr Bill did my tattoo for me and he was amazing. He is like me with not really talking much as much, but it was very nice, especially with his witty comments. Overall, it was an amazing experience and worth every second. I highly recommend Body Language for any tattoo and piercing needs!

I had a fantastic experience! I came in with a picture and idea. The tattoo in the photo was not exactly what I wanted and Zi used the photo to re-image what I desired. I was a walk-in and Zi sketched the design and tattooed my arm in approximately two hours. I am very amazed with his talent and efficiency. Zi was very patient, worked well under pressure (i.e. me not having an appointment and having to create a design) and friendly. I couldn't be happier! I was nervous. He explained everything to her and was so kind and patient - I asked him to move the dot where he was going to place the earrings a tiny bit, and he did it without hesitation. He was obsessed with making sure everything was clean and sterile, not even allowing me to touch the package the earrings were in! I would go back in a heartbeat! My first piercing was my septum and Turtle talked to me about it and calmed me down for like an hour and a half beforehand until I felt comfortable enough to do it. The first time I went into this shop I was actually planning on getting a tattoo done in another shop that some of my friends had been going to recently. When I walked in I first noticed that everyone was very friendly and the shop is really well lit unlike some of the others in town that are in basements and look dingy. My friend with me happened to notice that one of the artists in the shop had Doctor Who things decorating his area and after saying I wanted to get something Doctor Who related MrBill was excited to work with me. After seeing all the amazing work he's done I was even more excited to get mine. I made an appointment with him to get my new ink and was again greeted by friendly employees. Then a week later returned to the shop to get my half sleeve reworked. I am still stunned at how talented MrBill is and keep looking at my arm in amazement. He is a true artist and a miracle worker in my case! I will absolutely be coming to this shop to get all my work done. This is the best shop I've seen in Indy everyone is nice and there's absolutely no judgement from any of the guys there.

My 5 yo daughter had her heart set on getting her ears pierced. I knew right away that a tatoo and piercing location would be much better in reference to a good clean piercing. Piercing via the gun traumatizes the ear too much. I first emailed about services and received a very prompt, informative and kind email. Upon arrival the inside was very clean and staff were welcoming. The gentleman who did the ear lobe piercing was very kind, informative and patient with her. He went at her speed and was very clear about what he was doing so there were no surprises for her. After building rapport with her and getting both ears done he clearly described care needed for next 6-8 weeks to ensure a healthy and healed ear lobe piercing. I highly recommend their services to all people searching for an excellent, clean, and welcoming atmosphere for their kids to have their ears pierced.

My piercing experience at Body Language Tattoo was nothing short of awesome. From the time I walked in until the time I left, I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Having been to a couple of different parlors on the north side and being disappointed not only with the end result but by the way I was treated while there, I was looking for a more comfortable, clean, welcoming atmosphere and I found it with Body Language. Even though I came in without an appointment, Mr. Tom worked me into their schedule and was very accommodating in doing so. My piercer, Turtle, was amazing! He walked me through the process of both piercings, explained the pain level, and the healing process, and thoroughly explained how to clean them. He was very efficient but at the same time very thorough and detailed. By the end of my experience, the whole shop made me feel as though I was one of their good friends. Next time I want another piercing or my first tattoo, I will definitely make the trip down from the north side and visit the friendly, professional, and awesome crew at Body Language.

My little girl wanted her ears pierced for her 9th birthday. After doing a lot of research, I chose Body Language Tattoo. I am a ridiculously over-protective father! So, even after extensive research (and reading countless great reviews about Turtle) I was still skeptical of all the positive Google reviews. It almost sounded too good to be true! I can now attest to how awesome this place, and especially Turtle, are! Turtle walked my daughter through every step and was incredibly outgoing and entertaining the entire time we were there. When it came to piercing, he was very gentle; my daughter didn't even clinch my hand! No tears, no fear! I couldn't have asked for more! He explained care and cleaning to my daughter, and to my wife and me. Anyone who is looking for the absolute best place to get your kids' ears pierced, should feel 100% confident in going to see Turtle! I usually do not publicly post photos of my kids, but I think pictures can say more than words. You can see in the photos I have attached how much my Princess enjoyed this experience!

My first impression walking into the Indianapolis location was that it was clean and inviting. I took my daughter to have her nose pierced. It was something she really wanted, but was also super nervous. I cannot say enough on how professional and friendly Turtle was. He explained everything he was going to do and repeated it again so she knew what to expect. And when my daughter got lightheaded and needed to take a break; Turtle was very patient and took great care of her to keep her comfortable. He did emphasize several times the importance of good hygiene while her nose is healing and of course, gave her instructions on how to care for her new piercing.

Great shop!!! I have been to several shops in the Indianapolis area and I have to say that Body Language Tattoo is by far my favorite, and my go to shop from now on. The first thing you notice when you enter is the bright, clean shop itself. So many other shops seem to try and create a dark dungeon-like atmosphere, Body Language is the complete opposite. The staff were super, very friendly and not intimidating at all. MrBill really worked with me to make sure my design was the absolute best it could be. I have no problem highly recommending this shop!!!!

I have been to a few tattoo and piercing places, and out of all of my experiences this place was the best. The shop was clean and Turtle was amazing. My daughter went in to get her second holes pierced in her ears and Turtle calmed her down and walked her through the process explaining every step of the way.
