This place was great. I was hesitant to go here because I only received one recommendation but the employees helped put me at ease and convince me that I was in good hands. My technician was helpful and did a great job. The place was also extremely clean which is always a big thing for me. I would definitely go back again!

Just now getting around to leaving my comment. Went here about 8 months ago for a tattoo. Asked Pooh bear for a quote on a tattoo. Was within what I was looking to pay. I was his last customer for the night. The tattooing went great didn't hurt that much. After the healing of the tat, my husband took pic of it for me (tat on back) .it was HORRIBLE!! The lines are not clean, the symbols on the tat are not positioned right and some symbols are missing all together .this is the worst tattoo I have ever gotten. Will NEVER go back to this place and definitely, do not let Pooh Bear put a tattoo on you. Very disappointed.

Got a tattoo from Pooh Bear who seemed super inexperienced. I have over 12 tattoos and never had one like this. Could have been a great memory for my friends and I but now just another overpriced terrible tattoo that I will have to pay to have redone. 70.00 was ridiculous for someone so inexperienced for nothing but a plain simple arrow smaller than a stick of gum.

really disappointed. made an appointment that got cancelled at the last minute by the artist. they told me we could reschedule but have not answered me in a week and a half even though they have been posting on their instagram all the time. i guess i have to find a different artist :(

Both me and my wife have gone here and had tattoo's done by Erik and Frog two years ago. Both men were great at their job no question. We returned to get more work done and my wife's tattoo took almost seven hours to complete,its wasn't that extreme. when i talked to the girls about getting a tattoo they were rude and unprofessional, it ruined my day and I'm going to another shop for my tattoo Erik needs to snap this place back into shape

I have never in my life been treated with the unprofessionalism that I was treated with at this establishment. I've been to tattoo parties in trap houses that were run with far more qualified individuals. If your idea of a quality tattoo is traced stencil art then this is the place for you. As far as finding a true artist good luck with that.

I got my first tattoo done here by Marci, and it was a fantastic experience. It was a custom tattoo, and I provided her with lots of photos for inspiration. In the consultation she was very thorough and detailed to make sure she knew we were on the same page. She designed something that was exactly in line with what I wanted, but added her own creative input to make it unique from other designs out there. Getting the tattoo was a very enjoyable experience, and all the staff was very friendly.

Me and three of my closest friends and coworkers made a spontaneous decision to get tattoos on our stay in Chicago to commemorate the last six months of hard times we’ve been through with a big transition at our business. They were welcoming and only had to wait an hour for FOUR walkins! Neil did my tattoo in traditional style and killed it! Exactly what we were looking for!!!! Kola did the other design and her attention to detail was on point! Overall very impressed! Great job Tatu Tattoo!

Been going here for close to 7 years and never had I been quoted a price I didn't agree until going recent. This guy named Pooh wanted to charge me $250 for a $150 tattoo mind you I've been here before (as well as last week) and gotten bigger pieces for this price. Then tells me not to get it done cheaper....??? If I go back I'm only going to Adam who is more realistic but rather go somewhere else period.

I don't remember who did my tattoo, but I'd go back in a heartbeat to get more. The tattoo artists were very friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely talented. Also, I guess my tattoo was done in a different kind of ink than normal ink -- it doesn't fade as fast, and I hardly had to take care of it at all. The ONLY reason that this place didn't get 5 stars was because I waited 5 HOURS to get my tattoo (not like it took 5 hours to get it, but we literally waited 5 hours in a store that was apparently "accepting walk-ins"), because the guy at the front skipped over our names on the wait list... He didn't even realize we were sitting up in the front because he was derping around. They ended up taking a bunch of people before us before we even got seen, so that was a huge waste of my time. But, like I said, the tattoo was AMAZING and the quality was amazing. The tattoo artists were awesome. Just need a new dude up at the front who cares about customers.
