Got my first tattoo about a year ago at Maiden Voyage when they were in Pekin. Incredibly clean studio with wonderful artists. Now I am up to three tattoos from Maiden Voyage. I've only been to Alli and Sam, but both of them have knocked it out of the park with their skills. I love the new Junction City location as well. Highly recommend and I hope to continue working with them!!

I started a sleeve with Karin a little over a year ago and she did my wife’s first tattoo ever excellent work. Recently I’ve tried to get back in to get more work done on myself and have been cancelled on rescheduled cancelled on again I even showed up once in at the now old Pekin studio on time. The door was locked so I knocked no answer. So I waited probably 20 min no one showed. Then here comes Sam out the front door. I got out he saw me a bacame a little befuddled and immediately offered me an excuse. A call would have been nice. In fact my first three appointments were cancelled and she did make up for it by doing them for very little. That was nice. Julia called from there tonight and cancelled on me again. Then tells me that Karin double booked me. Then she tells me that if I put a deposit down that it would guarantee me a tattoo? Never had to do that there before. Makes it sound like it’s about the money there. I had a lot more I wanted done and a lot more to spend. I definitely feel like I be been brushed off. I would have given them an easy 5 stars if I hadn’t been blown off. Julia said that you double booked me then she said a deposit would have guaranteed me an appointment. So which was it. And you didn’t say anything about all the times you cancelled on me or the time I showed up on time and you weren’t there nor bothered to call. Great artist terrible business person.

I went to Karin and she did a water color tattoo to cover up an older tattoo I had on my forearm . She did an awesome job! I'm so happy with it so far (it IS still healing but she was very clear to contact them if there are any issues and it would be dealt with). Karin was very nice and didn't make me feel awkward, which is important to me! Everyone there seemed pretty nice and accommodating and like they really cared about the customer and providing great work! The new shop in peoria seems really nice, great atmosphere. I highly recommend this shop and Karin, I drove a little over an hour to get to this shop and I will go back for any future work!

Just went to Maiden Voyage for my first tattoo in about 10 years. I was impressed by how clean the shop was! Each of the employees were so kind and approachable. My artist, Karin, did an incredible job. I got two small tattoos, and it was a great experience. They look phenomenal and I had a really fun time. Highly recommend, would definitely go back!

I had a great experience with my first tattoo. I went back because of the great experience and good atmosphere. We started on a rework for my second piece and after one appointment I was cancelled on for various reasons 4 times. Finally I had an appointment that wasn’t cancelled and when I showed up the door was locked and Karin was tattooing someone else! She did come to the door and apologize for the mixup however she still said I had the wrong day. I did not and even had the text message to prove it. I was attempting to set up another time and she told me she would refer me to someone else. She never did and has not responded to me attempting to set it up. I now have an unfinished rework...not very professional in my opinion. I can’t imagine doing half of the work I promised someone and then treating them this way. I am very disappointed. It took me years to find another shop I trusted and now I may just leave it half finished. It really sucks to feel that way but having someone put artwork on your body is a big deal and should not be left unfinished. I did nothing wrong even tipped and thought we got along fine. I have had clients I don’t necessarily enjoy working for and no matter what they get my best work if I take the job. - in response to your reply on 3/17, I have followed up to try and finish the piece but have not received a response.
