If you want the most amazing tattoo experience of your life, please go to Hammerhead Tattoo. I've been there twice in the past couple of years and I will never go anywhere else. You will find talented, friendly and professional artists and staff in a clean and welcoming environment. Chris Rodas designed and completed my latest tattoo just about a month ago. He is incredible. I can't wait until I'm ready for my next tattoo and can make an appointment with him. My brother and his girlfriend also visited a couple of months prior and had their tattoos done with Chris. They both were very happy as well. Walk-ins are welcome (like me, both times). Incredibly reasonable with rates. I promise that every single penny spent here is worth it.

Tattoos are a great form of artistic expression, but I never thought it was for me. My best friend "Bella" (who had been my constant companion throughout my teenage and early adult years) passed away last summer. It hit me harder than I had anticipated, but then again, she was family. I wanted to memorialize her, and with great surprise, I made my way to Hammerhead Tattoo. I was nervous, but the staff was friendly and the waiting area was well lit, displaying many of their own interesting pieces of art. Benji (the owner) took the time to listen to what I had in mind for a design as I showed him a picture of my dog's paw print. He then sketched out a sample. It was accurate, so we began. He listened to my fears and described what he was doing at each stage of the process. It put me at ease, especially as he is a great conversationalist! The pen wasn't irritating after a while; it was almost therapeutic. To my delight, he added detail to make it look like fur! Once it was complete, he wrapped the fresh ink in a clear, hospital-grade bandage to prevent any infection from occurring. I am a nursing student, so I was doubly impressed! Since the tat only took up a part of my forearm, I thought the price fair. All in all, I had the best experience I could have wished for upon getting my first tattoo. It's a serious commitment, but to this day, I still have no regrets.

Chris was my artist and he turned a harry potter tattoo I got a few years back into an incredible mountain/nature scene and I absolutely love it! He took the time to really think on it and make sure it would work with the old tattoo, and make sure I loved it before he did it. The shop was one of the cleanest tattoo shops I have seen and pricing was more than reasonable! The other artists there take pride in their work as well and they leave you feeling like a friend/family rather than just a customer.
