Had a tribute tattoo of my deceased mother's handwriting. The first walk in was a smooth process to set my appointment. I emailed Danny the images and he replied pretty quickly acknowledging he received my email. The space is very welcoming and clean. The movie playing was Step Brother's...need I say more?!! That helped calm my nerves and distract the anxiety approaching since this was my first tattoo. Danny had a great bedside manner..he was thorough with the stencil application and explained the process and detailed after care. I highly recommend this place ! If I ever get another one, this will be the same spot I will go to.

Went there yesterday for my FIRST tattoo, scared nervous and almost bailed out however walking inside I was instantly taken over by comfort. The inside is absolutely clean and professional it wasnt tacky or gross like most places are and I was taken care of by Jimmy who already had a booked schedule. Even though I was a walk in he was quick fast and the tattoo turned out AMAZING! Definently going back and making this my official tattoo place

I went in to get my anti-tragus pierced and Teddi did an amazing job. She was clear with her explanation, and reassured me of my placement for the piercing. I felt at ease and to my surprise there was barely any pain involved. She was quick, gentle, and I'm very happy with my piercing and how well it is healing. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I would never recommend anyone to come here to get a tattoo. Jimmy was extremely inhumane to a disabled veteran who wanted to give his business to this place, instead of accepting his business, Jimmy threw a fit that there was a service dog present. This potential client tried to reason with jimmy and even suggested that his service dog would be in a far corner. Rather than dealing with the situation, jimmy not only violated a law but threw the money into the veterans face. It’s sad to see how a business treats future clients and disgraces veterans, who put their lives at risk for us.

I had previously convinced my friend to try color theory and even went with him to schedule an appointment with Jimmy, that exchange went well but when my friend went in for his tattoo he was denied service because he had his service dog with him. My friend is a marine veteran of two tours in Iraq. Not only was Jimmy told several times that it's illegal to discriminate based on a disability, while still refusing service but he even started to humiliate and insult my friend. Even despite the specifics of the situation I don't know how you could run a business where you think it's ok to insult your clients. Jimmy gave him his deposit back by throwing it at my friend, again humiliating him. I had planned to go to color theory for tattoos in the future but there's no way I would give business to someone as unethical as Jimmy. I highly urge anyone else to avoid patronage at this tattoo shop.

Ci is probably the most respectful, genuine piercers I have met. He helped me take out my unwanted piercings as well as get my nose piercing done in less than 20 minutes! I didn’t have to wait and I felt like I was welcome the moment I walked in the door. I have passed this place dozens of times on St. Charles, but one step in and it’s fairly clear the place is a sharp, clean, professional parlor. Prices were if anything cheap in my opinion and I will definitely be back!

I’ve gotten two pieces from him so far and this is the one I got most recently! (It’s the magnolia.) I would highly recommend getting work done by him just be sure to leave a deposit and be patient as he is usually booked!

Walked in one day asking what it would cost to get a certain tattoo and then I walked out there with an appointment for the weekend and a down deposit to get it done. Very clean and thorough on what they do and to make sure that you're not allergic to anything they will use. I had Freddie as my artist and will probably get more from him. Best experience for the first time of getting a tattoo. Just walking in the door you knew you went to the right place. I would advise you to go get a tattoo from these guys because if your artist doesn't know your fandom another one will and joke around with you and your artist. One f them came over to see how I was doing and asked if I had food today. I did but he said you're still getting some candy. When we were done with the tattoo we were all thinking of what tattoo I should get next. I hope to come again really soon.

I love this place!! I got my dermal peirced and it got infected( nothing they did my skin was rejecting the surgical steel, i need titanium) I walked in and she took it right out and was very kind! Ruban has never failed me from day 1 starting 6 years ago. From making sure I know what I want before I start, to when I felt sick and making sure I got water and candy(embarrassing moment for me but he was so quick to act which was great), the biggest was caring when I was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 years ago. I never have a second thought of what he does and even picking the colors . The shop is always clean and guarantee you'll find movies on. Jimmy, Beto and Jerry have always been friendly too. I had tattoos from three different people and all of them came out awesome. Ruben, Freddie, and Brandon are all awesome artists and I feel more than comfortable letting them put art on my body. Went in today initially for a tragus piercing, but Teddi informed me that my tragus was too small to be pierced (which I had thought about before), so I got a conch piercing instead. Teddi did an amazing job!! The pain was way less than I thought it would be, and she was very thorough explaining the cleaning instructions as well as walking me through the piercing process. Color Theory was so clean inside and everybody was very friendly. I will definitely be going back for my next piercing!

Was recommended to Beto by Keith Semple (local musician-look him up!) after I asked him who did his kick ass sleeve-it's so colorful and I knew I had to have his artist! I had a small one done by Beto last year (which I LOVE) and just had a cover up done a few days ago. He blew me away with the cover up because I thought there was no hope for the 10+ year old tattoo but I gave him my ideas and let him work his magic. There's a reason why he is booked so far out and why he has won so many awards: the guy is a true master at his art. The studio itself is immaculate, welcoming and a true reflection of the artists there. It actually looks more like an art gallery. Everyone there is very nice, funny and make you feel comfortable the minute you walk in the door. Do NOT hesitate to get your ink done here! You may have to wait a bit but it's SO worth it to get real quality work done.

I have more than a dozen tattoos and know my shops well...decided to come here while in town and came in for a walk-in for the first time. I was immediately impressed with the layout and professional atmosphere - very clean, presents itself as a really nice establishment. This tattoo was relatively small and plain black, but I couldn’t be happier with the result. Fred was able to take me quickly and did a spectacular job. I’d highly recommend this place to others looking for a high quality design and execution as well as a reasonable price point. I would definitely return here for future tattoos.

People seem to keep blaming the owner for not allowing service dogs in his Peircings and tattoo shop, and the rest of you commend jimmy for keeping his shop so clean. That is because the shop and artist areas must be sterile to avoid infection, in both the disabled person and future clients. Would you let a service dog in an operating room? Would you let a service dog in a burn unit, No! When you tattoo and peirce you are opening your body, creating a wound, and need to prevent infection. This is incredibly different that a non invasive drs appt or dentist. A dog compromises a sterile setting. After you get a tattoo done, everything is sterilized, including the chair you sat in. Would you like a dog hair to end up in your next tattoo? No, you would probably give this shop zero stars. Now whose fault would that be? I have 7 years experience managing a tattoo and piercing shop, service dogs are allowed in the waiting room, but not in any of the tattoo / piercing rooms.

Brandon was my tattoo artist. I came in for a wedding band ring tattoo and this also was my first tattoo ever. Brandon explained everything to me and how extra lettering would fade and look horrible overtime, was very helpful on deciding a single letter in elvish font instead and also had a very good attitude.
