I recommend Jessica Beck for your tattoos, she took her time and helped me create my piece. I look at it every day and fall in love with it more and more every day. Our experience from start to finish was phenomenal! From the very friendly and professional woman who greeted us when we walked in, to meeting Sam, we couldn’t be happier. Sam pierced my 8 year old’s ears and was incredible. She is patient, super sweet and encouraging with kids, and very skilled at what she does. If I could give A Thin Line 10 stars I would! Thank you for being so wonderful!!

While the reviews for the piercing artist seem to be good, the tattoo artist there, Brian, and the service from the staff would be rated less than zero. I made an appointment for 2 people to get a tattoo together, at the same time. It was stressed by Alex that they needed to come in to have a consultation with the artists' who would be drawing them. Alex said that one artist could do both people and I explained that they wanted them done at the same time. He suggested sending a picture, and I said sure, I could even text one. He replied that I could not really text to a landline in a condescending way. I should have known then!! We drove an hour on a Sunday for a 5pm appointment to meet Brian who informed us that we only had an appointment with him, and we did not need to see two different artists, he could make the sketch for both. This was the opposite of what Alex explained, and from my experience getting a tattoo, you want the artist drawing it to be the person giving you the tattoo. When I explained to Brian a couple of times the contradictions between Alex's statements and his, he just kept repeating himself that he could do both. I told him we sent a picture also per Alex's instructions, and he looked up the picture, for the first time, at that moment. He stated that he could draw the picture for both because it looks basic. OF COURSE it was a basic drawing because a non artist drew it! Brian then asked if we wanted the consult. Why would we trust anyone there after the condescending and unprofessional attitudes. We left and are only regret is wasting the time. We will go to Revolution tattoo, always treated well there and with respect! As if they were trying to actually provide us with cool and good service!

Sam Jones is an amazing piercing artist. Before I even booked my appointment, she answered all the questions I had. She is very knowledgeable and quick to respond. At my appointment, she went through all the pricing and jewelry options with me, explaining the pros and cons of each. She ensured my jewelry was properly sterilized, and had me initial the sterilization packet to prove it was properly done. Her studio room was immaculate, and had nice chill music playing. She marked the spot for my piercing and let me see the placement, then went through step by step everything she was going to do and what to expect to feel. She made me feel completely at ease and she is very warm and personable. She was very thorough in explaining aftercare and what to expect my piercing to look and feel like while healing. Even after I went home and thought of a few more questions, she responded quickly with the information I needed. I’m in love with my new piercing and can’t wait to get more! I’ll always come back to Sam, she’s got a new regular for sure.

This place is a joke. The receptionist was rude and could care less about who walked in. After driving 45 minutes they tell us that just the jewelry was going to be in the 35+ range.. Not to mention a $35 fee for just the tools. Went to Chi Town in Aurora instead and got good service with good prices. Thanks Thin Line.

When I first chose Thin Line it wasn't because I heard of their quality, it was just because they happened to have an availability... 5 tattoos later and I will STILL recommend them to everyone. The staff is friendly and helpful and all of the artists have plenty of experience and are very professional. The prices are what is to be expected, nothing insane and nothing scary cheap, and the work is always good. I can't recommend this tattoo shop enough!

I was taken aback and disappointed, however I found another shop and have an amazing artist I've sent many friends to. They have been treated very well by my new artist and shop. Front desk staff was super sweet and helpful getting me booked for my very first ever tattoo consult. The consult itself was a fun process and then getting the actual tat done by Adam was a blast. Super chill environment, movies playing on the tv, Adam cracking jokes for days so you're not even tripping that hard over the tattoo pain lol. The aftercare instructions were super clear too and 2 weeks after getting my ink it's pretty much finished flaking and is settling into my skin nicely. All in all great experience and I'll definitely be visiting this ship again in the future!

I have gotten every piercing I have with A Thin line, and they have all turned out amazing. While I don't have any tattoos, I have gone with friends and family members and the artists are always very excited to work with you and help you achieve whatever you are looking for. The people are all charming in their individuality, but work great together as a team. The minute you step through the door, someone is there to help you with whatever you need. The level of professionalism is perfect as you always know exactly what you are getting into before you start. The shop itself is clean and completely sterile, so there is no worry of gaining an infection after services are complete. I would recommend this parlor over any other to friends and family alike. Every person I know that has done business with A Thin Line is very happy with the outcome.

I got an industrial piercing by Kenny and he was incredible! He's very conversational and informative, which made the experience enjoyable. He customized my bar and made sure it was exactly what I wanted, measured everything so it would be a perfect fit, then explained everything he was doing during the actual piercing process and waited until I said I was ready. Everything was clean and sterilized, and he thoughoughly explained the healing and cleaning process. All of my questions were answered and everything was very professional. I highly recommend coming here for Kenny if you are considering a piercing and are unsure of where to go; this place is the best in Plainfield!

I got my first tattoo rather late in life but the experience at this place changed a lot of my pre-conceived notions about tattoo parlors. The parlor is very clean and contemporary, all the staff and artists deal with you in a professional manner and you get comfort in the fact that they seem to take all the necessary precautions to reduce any potential for infections etc. My first tattoo required a lot of line work and Bill Sorensen did an unbelievable job and I have since gotten more pieces of art Bill on my back, left arm and my right shoulder. I would highly recommend this place and Bill's line work if you are looking for ink on your skin.

My girlfriend got her nose pierced here. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The shop is clean and well kept, it's a very professionally run establishment. I highly recommend going here. Edit: I have since gone back to get my ears pierced a second time in each ear. There is a different piercer now then when my girlfriend got her nose pierced. The new piercer did a great job and is great to work with. She helped me straighten out a couple of issues that I had and was very understanding, patient, and professional about everything. I still recommend this shop.
