I went it when they opened and of course last minute on the last day I was in Maui, and what do you know Spike (the owner) just happened to have an opening later in the day. I showed him the idea I had not leaving any pictures with him and when I came back he had it all drawn up. Long story short Spike did a wonderful job. I love it

First of all, thank you Amy for being accommodating and opening at 1130am for me so I could catch my flight in time. I know you said the shop opens at noon although Yelp and google indicate opening at 10am. I brought in a design that should have taken maybe 20 minutes total, literally 2 lines, in 1 color, approximately 1/4in x 1/4in. Very simple. For the $90 shop minimum, this should have been easy money. After failing a few attempts to free-hand the design properly, Amy decided to stencil the design. She printed the stencil quickly and at the correct size. After I rejected the first placement, Amy decided to tell me that I was "busting her balls", and that my other tattoos were "crappy". After the second failed attempt to place the stencil, Amy was done and just couldn't do this anymore. She goes to the front desk and hands me back my deposit. I was shocked, as were my sister and cousin who were with me in the shop. I was refused service for being too particular and left the shop around 1145am. Thank you, Amy for my final Maui aloha.

We had a great experience at SWI. My husband and I, and 2 of my kids came in to get some work done. The guys were very accommodating and worked with our ideas to make sure we were happy. Spike did a beautiful job on my hibiscus and plumaria tattoo, Jaxon did nice clean lines on my kid's octopus and manta ray tattoos, and Illya did beautiful fixing the water color effect on an existing tattoo my husband had. The shop is clean, the guys are all laid back and fun to be around. I highly recommend this shop.

Spike is AMAZING!! He got me in last minute after another shop told me they couldn’t do a simple Hibiscus flower. I mean, that is the flower of Hawaii. He was accommodating and friendly and soooooo nice. The Tattoo is gorgeous! I can’t wait for it to heal! Not to mention, Spike is amazing with the Tattoo gun, the pain was minimal. Thank you so much. Would definitely recommend!! My artist Tony at Skin Deep was a no show for my appointment so I wandered into Spikes and he fit me and two others in my group in right away! It was a warm welcome and professional service! He knows his trade very well and was awesome with tweaking my sunflower the way I wanted it. He is fast and efficient without sacrificing quality. As well as cheaper than what I was quoted at Skin Deep! I couldn’t be happier with my tattoo!!

Ive gotten three tattoos from Amy. She’s incredibly talented, and she works with me on making what I want workable in tattoo form. I’ve asked her for some weird sea creatures and she’s researched them, made them adorable, and done a great, colorful job with everything. I keep a few of her business cards in my wallet because people frequently ask me who did my tattoos when they see them. She’s tattooed my auntie, and a couple of my friends. She’s a really great artist and a super nice human.
