I went to different places to get a tribal and don’t go to anyone to get a tribal. This is the best place I went and got a tribal tattoo. This is the place to go and Samson is the man you need! I have been waiting to find the right person to redo a huge cover up on on a old tribal tattoo I got back in the day. Without hesitation, Samson said he would be happy to take this on. I couldn't believe the detail and the intricacy this now has with Samson free handing his Polynesian roots throughout my arm and chest. These guys are great, I got an amazing coverup from 24 year old amature scribbling of my last name from Hano. He is one hell of an atrist. Took his time to make it exactly what I wanted, but was more than fair on price. I gave a $50 tip. Highly recommend these guys. Dont get stuck in Lahaina, make the trip, you wont regret it!!!

My husband and I were walk in clients at just the right time. We were both able to be fit in on the same day, which we were grateful. I got an older tattoo that I was so disappointed in covered. My tattoo artist was kind, I told him the elements I wanted and asked that he put his own artistic style on it. He did a beautiful job with my turtle. My husband did the same with his artist, his artist educated him on the style he asked for, asked him questions and put different symbols representing him. Florence checked us in/out, she couldn't have been more kind. I enjoyed talking with her. We loved our experience and will definitely be back next time we're in Maui.

My 2nd visit to Maui and I wanted to get some ink that would bring back the memories of Maui and the fantastic Hawaiian culture. I stayed at a 5 star/diamond resort (the heavenly Four Seasons Resort) and asked the fantastic concierge team an "off the beaten path" question. Have you heard anyone talk about any tatoo parlors that they might recommend. Their answer was "Oh yes...guests seem to like "Pacific Rootz Tatau" in Kihei, about 15 minutes from the resort. Match Made In Heaven. Samson is a genuine, good man and AB SO LUTLEY AMAZING. He made me so relaxed that I wanted to call him bruddah after 10 minutes talking to him. He listened to every word I said, and then took everything I liked about Maui: it's people, their heritage and culture I've fallen in love with, their history, and legends, and gave me so much more than I could have asked for. And completely freehand from the very beginning. THAT'S's an artist who doesn't need to sign their art. The art IS his signature. The detail is unbelievable. The first comment I got in public was "Wow! I can't believe the detail in that hook! The sharp crisp lines, from the smallest one to the biggest!" When I said Samson did it, I got a jealous sounding, but with a huge smile, "Oh man!....I shoulda' KNOWN! Sam's the best on the Island! How'd you get him?!" Now I have to go to Maui anytime I want to add to the story Sam started on my calf. How could it get any better than that? He's the only guy I'll go to now. Two of the very very best places on Maui. Can't thank you enough Four Seasons Resort and Samson at Pacific Rootz! Memories for a lifetime....sorry so long a review, but its deserved.

What else can I say but Sam did a freaking awesome job with the tattoo that I was asking for. My wife and I walked in looking to get tattoos and Sam was busy with a client and had another appointment scheduled. Ended up that Sam's appointment cancelled and he walked over and sat down and asked what I wanted and really cared about what I was looking to get done. I gave him free rain on the design and he free handed the whole peice and designed it around what I was looking for. I have had many tattoos here on Hawaii Maui and he is extremely personable, down to earth and a personality that you will love and want to come back again for. Thank you so much Sam for taking care of me and training the rest of the team to take care of my wife's as well.
