In March of 2013 I had a sit down with Robbie an we discussed an idea I had for 2 leg pieces to cover the backs of my lower legs. I gave him my ideas an let him do his artistic work and we came up with 2 awesome pieces. We finished up the right leg in Mar 2013 an I came back an did the left leg in Dec 2014. I have had nothing but compliments on the pair. If you plan an going to Maui I would highly recommend you visit Atomic tattoo shop,and have a visit with Robbie an the artists. Leilani and Teddi are absolute doll's! Incredible artistry and truly cool people!! My wife and I decided to get "Inked" for the first time here. I've been planning & looking for artists for almost ten years and Leilani and I just "clicked". She did my right shoulder (Almost 1/2 sleeve) in 2 1/2 days. Armor piece w/ Hawaiian flowers growing around it w/ my family's birth signs in the metal portion...Amazing! My wife's piece was all Hawaiian flowers done w/ realism from Teddi who performed the work almost "free hand", again Amazing. If your after ink work and are unsure about which shop (especially in the Maui area) GO HERE! Prices were also beyond decent, they performed way beyond the call of duty! Leilani will be doing more work on me (If she would like to) in the future!

I came in on 7-21-16, and told Monica the idea for my tattoo. It was simple, a hand with the fingers twisted up to show SF and some old English 415 numbering under, under the picture. She made the simple design into a great piece for my arm. I came in, and showed her the hand sign, and a picture of the style of numbering I wanted. She did a great job, i recommend her to anyone. Plus, she's cute as F, too. . Everyone in the shop is friendly, I'm very happy with my trip to Atomic Tattoo shop, and will probably go back soon for another piece before I head back to Cali.. My husband and I got traditional Hawaiian turtles tattooed on us by Trevor while on our Honeymoon. He is an amazing artist and provided us with the best experience we could have asked for. He put time and effort into giving us what we were looking for. He was also EXTREMELY patient as I moved the positioning around several times, finally settling on the 1st position he placed on my thigh. We can't wait to see him for another tattoo next year!!!!

I walked into the upstairs Prison Street location. Anthony was the only one there at the time. I showed him the photo of the tattoo below, "first photo on top or to the left" and asked him if he could reproduce it on my leg but with a different head, as I didn't care for the style of head on the sea turtle. He said no problem. Long story short, the second photo is what he put on my leg. A third of the way into the tattoo, my wife and I realized he was under the influence of something and the way he was acting was not just his personality. Half way into the tattoo you could hardly understand what he was even saying. This is at 3pm in the afternoon. He may be a decent tattoo artist when sober, but I would look for someone who takes pride in themselves and a professional approach to their work. Otherwise you will end up with a sloppy fat penguin instead of a well defined sea turtle that has red on its foot and green splotches here and there along with various red and black inked areas that make no sense. I've already scheduled my first laser treatment in a few weeks to begin the removal process. A very expensive lesson to make sure you know your tattoo artist better before allowing them to touch you with a needle. This review is in no way a reflection on Mid Pacific Tattoo, only ANYHONY at the upstairs PRISON STREET location.

My daughters and I came for a new and some retouch this June 2015 at the Maui Atomic Tattoo. Our Tattoo artist Lelaini and Martinez did an excellent job. This was our second time and we love how were treated and made us feel at ease and especially me a 50 yr old man who is a novice at this my daughters who are mid 20s already have experience this and it was nothing to them. My first was just a simple inscription and my second was more detailed and it covered half of my calf. We come to Maui every year (we're from Los Angeles Calif) which is our second home and it was great to have done in paradise. I recommend to all who love the artistry of getting tattoos to come here. They are hospitable, very clean, tons of pictures to choose from, and they are willing to work with you with your own ideas and will truly make it happen. We will truly go there again next year.
