Rob did an amazing job on my tattoo. I brought him a pic of what I wanted and he rocked it. Took a little linger than he expected originally, but was worth the extra times. He was very meticulous to make sure that every single line was perfect, and the colors were all super saturated. If your looking for a tattoo in Kona, Rob at Lost Coast is your guy.

My husband and I both got tattoos on our recent trip. The work was done very quickly and we were both very pleased. The professionalism of this shop was impressive as we just walked in off the street. They made sure we were well aware of the need to keep dry and gave us waterproof bandages so we could still swim and enjoy our vacation.

We got piercings here, not tattoos, so I can only speak to that. We had 5 piercings done in our group and only 2 turned out. The earlobes seemed like they were gauged because the rings were so think (and ugly), the tragus (sp?) I had to ask specifically for a stuff instead of the ugly ring, and both nose studs fell out the next day because it was the smallest stud possible. He had to re-pierce the noses. My first friend cried because he didn't seem to know what he was doing and she said it hurt ten times worse and took forever. He kept pausing. My second friend just ended up saying never mind and left. $50 per piercing - good price for the nose and treagus, but was ridiculous for earlobes ($100 total)

This place is awesome. Was here on a vacation and decided I wanted to get a tattoo while in town. At first I went into a shop and had a terrible experience but then walked into lost coast. These guys were extremely helpful and professional. Long story short I lost out on a 50 dollar deposit at the other place just because rob was so much more helpful than the other guy. Not to mention left with an awesome tattoo of exactly what I wanted. Thanks Rob and lost coast!!

Josh was professional and friendly. He took what we wanted and gave suggestions where needed and we came up with a beautiful tattoo. My boyfriend and I got matching tattoos and he added a little feminine flare to my shading so they could be slightly different. Best tattoo shop on the island. Brandon does fabulous work! Very honest, gave great recommendations on placement and timing on when to get the tattoo on my trip so I could still enjoy my trip, but you do need to come in prior to schedule your tattoo. My tattoo is everything I wanted and more. My husband got a tribal turtle and Brandon did fabulous work on the tattoo with all the detail work in the tattoo. Highly recommend coming here getting tattooed. Brandon has over 17years of experience tattooing.

This shop in the heart of Kona Town, right next to the ocean is so wonderful. The owner Rob is professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to find out what I wanted, why it was important to me and drew up something better than I had hoped for. His execution of the artwork on my arm was flawless, and his touch is gentle. The shop is clean, and he stuck to his price. I would tell any of my friends to go here and I am happy to tell the Google community to stop here for your ink.

I went with a friend while she got a small tattoo. Within a week she noticed some blowout with the line work, and tried to take the artist up on his offer of "please let me know if you're unhappy or there are any issues, as I can do touch ups and give care tips for free." She ended up having to go to Kona Town for a minor cover up. We're both female, and the artist made some lewd comments that made us mildly uncomfortable (her tattoo was near her bra line, which would not phase a true professional). They had pictures up of some very detailed, talented portfolio work, so they mustn't be all that bad. We just won't go back.

Got a wonderful piece done by Rob, I brought him a picture of what I wanted, he took that picture and made it original and beautiful. He did an excellent job with the stippling and shading and his line work is amazing. I have been to several shops in Washington state but will visit kona again just to have him do more work for me. Josh also did work for the rest of my family and does amazing free hand script and really good work as well. I highly recommend this shop to anyone visiting or living in kona.

I am so pleased with the work Josh did for me during my vacation. I had plumeria tattooed behind my right ear and the cartilage pierced half way up my right ear. We researched tattoo shops, talked to several artists, and after a conversation with Josh and Robert we selected Lost Coast to do our art. These guys are fabulous!! They are hard workers, personable, truthful and more than willing to help their clients choose a design that will be most suitable for them.
