My go-to shop for all my body mod needs. So far I’ve gotten 6 tattoos and 6 piercings done there and I’m extremely happy about all of them. The staff is incredibly talented and super friendly. The vibe of the shop is super clean and professional while also being filled with art work which makes you feel very comfortable. I’ve had my nose pierced for a number of years now. My stud fell out overnight so I went in mid afternoon for a new one. I’ve had it replaced at other shops, pain free. I’m pretty sure she repierced my nose. OUCH! She didn’t show me the new piece before placing it and the stud is too long and the ball is too big. I was considering a tattoo there but not so much now.

Super awesome and chill environment. All of the artists were really nice and professional. I came with a few other people and the whole staff was supportive and comforting of everyone. They never rushed us and made sure we got what we wanted. The work, of course, was spot on. Some of us had simple tattoos and they treated it with as much attention as the other more complex ones. Definitely recommend coming here and you can’t go wrong with any of the artists.

TERRIBLE service! BAD experience! Went there to get a belly button piercing, when I walked in they didn’t even greet me with a simple “hello” they didn’t speak to me first until I spoke to them. And I had called 10 minutes before coming, and they said they could do it. But at the counter they said you had to be 18 to have it done. When on google it says that in ATHENS GA “minors 14-18 have to have a parent or legal guardian’s written consent and present during the procedure” & I was with my legal guardian. NEVER GOING BACK!!! Don’t recommend this place to anybody PERIOD.

I am writing this review somewhat retroactively, as my first and only experience with Three Ravens occurred in February of 2019 (it is now June 2019). The shop has a cool feel to it, but the staff was not extremely welcoming. I was not greeted and had to approach the counter myself. A small detail, maybe, but it makes a difference to me. I was in to get my jewelry replaced with jewelry in a more suitable size. No official measurements were taken, no anatomy consultation was made to see what size jewelry I might need; the clerk and I just sort of eyeballed it. I was taken upstairs by the piercer to the piercing area, which seemed sort of rickety (I almost fell off the piercing chair because it wasn’t very stable). There didn’t seem to be much of a sanitization process to any of it, but I’m not very sure. The jewelry changing process itself was fine. I was then led back to the front desk where I was finally told the price of the jewelry that had just been put in me, as well as informed for the first time that there would be a $30-or-so fee for changing my jewelry in addition to the price of the jewelry. I left feeling sort of cheated. The shop used jewelry with external threading on my piercings (which were in a sensitive area), which I thought was sort of a no-no in the industry. Furthermore, the size they gave me did not fit very well, as I later discovered. But, instead of going back to Three Ravens to be charged yet another jewelry replacement fee, I went back to Pain and Wonder just a few streets over. At P&W, they change your (internally threaded!) jewelry for free with the purchase of it. This has been the case for several of my piercings (all of which were done and maintained at P&W). In fact, the only reason I walked into Three Ravens at all was because Pain and Wonder was out of the proper size of jewelry that I would need. I can’t say whether or not I would go to Three Ravens for a tattoo, but I am not extremely inclined to return and will not be returning for any piercing needs.

Walking in here was a bit of a shock (in a good way) at first. They did a great job renovating the building. It's so bright and clean. The space feels very open and the atmosphere is laid-back. I've gotten a few tats and piercings here and I still enjoy catching sight of them in the mirror. The location is super convenient and the staff are lovely

I don’t have enough good things to say about this place. I’ve been in here a few times, had a piercing, a touch up and a new tattoo done and all of them are perfect and exactly what I wanted. Everyone in the shop is kind, has a great sense of humor, is accommodating, super talented and just super pleasant to be around in general. The whole shop is clean, comfortable and now my go-to for piercings/tattoos! Seriously would recommend to everyone I know!

While visiting some friends in Athens, we decided to get some ink. We stopped at another shop in the area first. They refused to tattoo me, due to the fact, I was on crutches. Luckily, we tried another studio, 3 Ravens. We were greeted immediately. I asked if they had any time available for us, and even with the studio pretty busy, they fit us in. We didn’t have an exact tattoo in mind, for either my friend nor myself. The staff was eager to help us out with suggestions and ideas. We were treated like friends. Chatting about what to get, where to get it, and joking around. It was fun. Jim Mellor suggested we grab a bite, and suggested a great restaurant, while he got prepared. When we returned, he was ready for us. Professional, yet, he treated us like old friends. Our tattoos came out great. ‘Pinky and the Brain’ tattoos, to symbolize our friendship. But the overall experience, was even better. The staff at 3 Ravens Tattoo & Piercing, made my first trip to Georgia, all the more memorable. And now, I have a permanent keepsake. I know that any future visits to Athens, Georgia, I will definitely swing by 3 Ravens, even just to just say hello.

It was my first time in my life to get my earlobes pierced! It was the last thing I could consider doing (because I believed I had less pain tolerance) but I put all my courage together. The staff at the front desk and Caroline, the artist who got me pierced were both very kind and comforted my fear.. Caroline went over all the processes with me, and made sure that I was doing okay. The piercing was not as bad as I expected thanks to them. It was very quick and professional! Thank you so much, 3 Ravens! I will come back when I decide to get another one...

My daughter and I actually had an appointment at a different shop in Athens ,but walked into 3 ravens while we were waiting. We were blown away by how friendly, attentive, and professional the staff were. We ended up canceling our other appointment immediately and ended up getting 2 piercings and 2 tattoos. We were so well taken care of. I’m pretty sure I will never go to another shop. If you want quick,easy,and perfect service go here. Bonus points for the piercer meticulously making sure the post were perfectly tight for my daughter. Can’t say enough good things!

Went in to get a nose piercing, and I loved everyone I met there. They're super welcoming and chill, which made me feel better since it was my first time. When I had went home and lost the jewelry, I came back in, and they were quick to help me out. I appreciated their patience and loved talking with them. They'll talk things out with you so you always know what they're doing. They're also really clean, and they don't use a piercing gun (I made the mistake of going somewhere before that used a piercing gun).

When I walked in the lady behind the counter was very nice. For her I left two stars because she helped me and my friends a lot, was very patient, and kind. For the tattoo artist I wish I could leave no stars. I will admit I am no artist so when I showed the tattoo artist my idea of what I wanted (which was a cross with the initials of my family members) I understand that everyone has their own opinion but I believed it was a little harsh when he said the idea looked like my family’s tombstone. He said he didn’t like words and he prefers to tattoo images and that he will not tattoo what I wanted. I appreciate his advice but at the end of the day the tattoo I wanted had meaning to me and his opinions weren’t helpful but more demeaning. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if it’s your first especially if it’s your first time getting a tattoo, it was my first time and I left feeling stupid and as if my idea of a tattoo was horrible.
