Best tattoo I've ever gotten inexpensive and barely felt it will definitely return when it's time for a new one staff was very sweet and sociable people would recommend them in a heartbeat....Thanks James you really did a wonderful memorial tattoo for my dad I'm still in awe and I thank Tosh for giving my mom a tour and eliminating her fear that things would not be safe or sterile and I thank Independent tattoo for their compassion towards my mother and I due to the sudden loss of my father!!!!

They did an amazing job on my tattoo. My artist Justin was so chill and easy to talk to. He did an amazing job and brought tears to my eyes from such a great job that he did. Would definitely recommend this place. They can be on the pricey side but if you want a good quality tattoo your going to have to pay good money for it. Had an amazing tattoo experience with Tres Denk (my best and most meaningful tattoo yet - thank you so much!), and the shop manager Tasha was also very helpful. The atmosphere is better than shops in my area now and I felt way more comfortable and at ease. I moved away from DE to VA, but the drive back to DE is absolutely worth the quality and professionalism you'll get here. I have and will continue to recommend to friends in my area. Hope to be back soon!

Love them!! They did a Great job on me and my boyfriend. The tattoo Justin did for me was a memory for me as my mom had just passed away. Very Professional. My boyfriend wanted a tattoo and he was interested in something for his mom and James went ABOVE & Beyond all expectations. We were suppose to come back and I missed our appointment. I feel horrible, they held those spots for us. Definitely will return and have work done again.

I don't have any tattoo's butt my daughter does and I've never gone with her to get it done but while we were on vacation in Ocean city MD my daughter wanted to get one in memory of her father and I've always had a fear that they weren't sterile environment's so to help ease my fear they gave me a tour and even though I'm against tattoo's it made me more at ease, and the staff were very sweet and they did a great job on her memorial tattoo this is why I'm posting this so other Mother's aren't scared knowing their child is getting ready to get a tattoo now u can't get it done in Ocean city but u can in Fenwick Delaware which is only 17 miles from 8th street in Ocean city hope this helps here is the tattoo they did on her she also mentioned that out of all the tattoo's she has this one didn't really hurt and she is very skinny and she also said it was and is shocked by how detailed the artist made it...

100% worth a 5 star rating. First off let me start with how every person I met there was so welcoming. This was a big thing for me cause I'm new to the Eastern shore and it made me feel so much more comfortable. I'm very picky about where I go for tattoos so after reviewing different shops I finally decided to give Independent a call. It's an hour and 15 mins away from where I live but it was well worth the drive. Jamie was my artist and he was able to take me in as a walk-in. I came in with nothing but a rough idea of what I wanted. He helped me decide on placement, size, and even coloring all while staying in my budget. I will definitely be a returning customer and be recommending it to all my friends. Thank you Jamie and everyone else at Independent Tattoo. I truly love my new tattoo and I'll be back in the spring! :)

Everything about this place went well and was very professional. Starting with booking the appointment and then the appointment itself. Tasha made setting up my appointment a breeze since Im not local. Yesterday I got there for the tattoo and met Mathew for the first time. Super friendly and a great artist. I look forward to more Tattoos from Mathew at Independent. If your'e looking for a great tattoo and a comfortable environment to get one this is your place and Matthew is your guy.

This is best place in the area to go to for quality, inexpensive tattoos. They take walking & the artists are very friendly, talented, and helpful. They also provide you a free aftercare kit for your new tat! Awesome place! I’ll definitely be coming back to them!

Probably one of the best atmospheres of any tattoo shop I've ever walked into. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They pick each others brains for ideas and opinions. I was here for over 7 hours yesterday. These guys really care about their customers and love what they do. Justin Call did a cover up for my wife and a cover up/add on for me. They definitely gained 2 customers for life. I wouldnt even think about walking into another shop after coming here. Already looking forward to my next visit. Keep up the great work and friendly atmosphere!!!!

I had an Amazing experience. Matthew Amey is an Awesome artist and I would gladly return to get more tattoos from him. Thank you Matt and Jim for being so welcoming and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. This was my first tattoo and I got a half sleeve on my upper arm which took 3 sessions. It turned out so Awesome and I can't wait to show it off to everyone. Picture will be posted after it heals. I highly recommend Independent Tattoo!!

Work was good, workers were knowledgeable. My only issue is, they're the only place close to the Ocean City MD shore where you can get a tattoo, and they know it. Paid 100 dollars for a tattoo I know I would've gotten for 50-60 in Pittsburgh. I paid it, because like I said, it was 45 minutes further to go to another place, and I wanted to get ink while I was on vacation.

Justin did my tattoo and I love it. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helped with second opinions. The shop was very clean and I enjoyed my first tattoo experience. They even gave me an after care goodie bag with instructions on how to use the moisturizers and all. I would definitely recommend.

My boyfriend and I visited this shop from PA last week while vacationing. From the moment you walk in, you are completely comfortable. They genuinely have the best staff in both friendliness and professionalism. Justin took my reference art and perfected it. He did an amazing job making sure our tattoos were pristine. Easy 5 star review. I've gotten a few tattoos here over the years, starting back in 2000. Ever since my first visit I've been impressed. The shop's always had a cool vibe, and the artists and owners are extremely talented. From an operational viewpoint, this is by far the best shop I've ever been to. It's very clean and everyone has been friendly and professional too. I've witnessed a couple of interactions with difficult clients and clients that should not get tattooed, and the guys handled them with class. I have no reservations about recommending Independent, and everyone that I've ever sent there would agree.
