I was looking to get my first tattoo. I stopped in to Blue Moon and both Jim and Bryan were both very helpful answering questions. Jim was helpful in helping me select the style (I knew the image I wanted). I was impressed with the time and care that was taken in preparation. Once Jim started he asked several times about my comfort. I was very pleased with end product. I've been told the price I paid was a good deal. Jim was professional throughout the entire time and gave me complete care instructions and his business card and said to call him with any questions or concerns. I will definitely return for my next one.

Jim did a great job with my industrial! He made the experience easy, especially when your getting like 2 piercings in 1 lol. Jim is definitely the guy to ask for piercings and tatts!

I went in for a price quote, and the guy was very rude from the start. He tried to tell me it would be $150, maybe more. I am COVERED in tattoos, have been to numerous shops in MD and DE, and know pricing very well. It was way overpriced. When I asked what he could do for $120 he told me the size would be cut in HALF...? He continuously tried to intimidate me, asking who I knew and what shops I went to, with an aggressive attitude. I gave him names and shops and he said he didn't know any of them, therefore I was wrong. (They were all local shops in Elkton, Newark, Wilmington, and North East) He also said there is and is always a minimum rate to every shop, (there's was $100..but I've NEVER heard of this concept in my TWENTY YEARS of getting tattoos) and continued to act like I didn't know what I was talking about, being very rude, impatient, and overbearing. I felt uncomfortable and invalued as a customer so decided to leave. I went straight to another (very well known, local, and professional) shop, was treated with respect and got quoted a price of $70 for the same tattoo, for the original size I wanted (which I originally priced at $75 myself before I got quoted)...If I could I would give this place a negative rating. BLUE MOON IS AN OVERPRICED SHOP WITH RUDE EMPLOYEES.

I went in looking to get a small black tattoo and they quoted it at $120! Their minimum price is $100 which is outrageous compared to other locations in the surrounding area. When I left I called around in the area and the average price they were quoting me was $50 for the exact same tattoo. Also, the guy who was helping me was visibly stoned and I obviously would not have let him get near me with a tattoo gun....very unprofessional and not willing to work with me at all.

Asked simple question-spoke to me like I’m a idiot. Wanted a half sleeve-I’ll take my business where I’m not treated as a inconvenience.
