Went there to put my conch jewelry back in because my holes had shrunk. The guy that took care of me made it seem like I was a bother to him. He was very short with me and didn't let me finish my sentences. He eventually told me to call my original piercer, to see if they could do it for free; which I ended up doing because of his crass demeanor. I honestly would've paid to just have him do it for me then and there because my original piercer was all the way in Waterbury. All I know is that I'm not coming back to this place.

The work Jeremy did on me today is absolutely beautiful!!!! He tattooed a gorges butterfly on my back- the guys in the shop are all professional and courteous and friendly, the shop is clean- just an awesome environment! Jeremy totally cares about his clients- he frequently checked in to b sure I was comfortable or if I needed a break, and when he firsts drew the design he insured that I was completely pleased with it and it’s placement! He has done 4 tattoos for me and I definately plan on returning to the shop!

I personally did not get a tattoo here and never will but my girlfriend and 2 of her friends came here today and got charged $160 EACH for something very small and not a lot of detail. Artists clearly took advantage of them being young and naive and it's extremely disappointing and scummy. Would not recommend coming here unless you enjoy spending more than you need to.

Guy at the front desk is very rude, might be racist idk. The tatoo artist himself was extremely nice and professional. The prices are Awful. Higher than Ny prices and then the pay machine asks about a tip.... I have many tattoos some I paid over 500 dollars for so its not about the money, I just know I could get more and better for less. Update: waited to see Tattoo heal properly and peel and there are deep dig scars where you can see he went too deep, the color is faded. Looks like a Jail Tat. SKIP THIS PLACE

Do not get a piercing in this place, the most horrible experience my children's and I ever had, After waiting hours outside for so call free piercing event "they have", very rude, unprofessional, disrespectful and with a profanity language yell at my children's and almost went in to my face, as a customer you have the right to choose what you getting done, he wants you to get what he said not what you want when you the one paying for it. I left with my children's after seeing such of nasty behavior didn't want some one like him touching my children's or me....Be careful be also aware he don't care about the customer only about the money he makes ...

Took my daughter to get her ears pierced for the second time. First time was a Claire’s and the holes were no good so we let them close. This time after reading the reviews I decided that Tiger Tatoo was the way to go. I had the chance to work with Jay and he was awesome. He told my daughter exactly what was going to happen and how. My husband and I decided to go to flying tiger based on the recommendations we got. Prior to coming in this morning, I spoke to them on the phone as well as emailed along with sending in pictures of what we would sort of like. I was told they would be happy to work with us and for us to come in for a consultation. We were so excited when we walked in there but boy was I about to be shut down so quickly. The second I came in the artist that was behind the desk was super short with me I started with saying that I spoke to them and I was told in for a consultation and then that after today I’d like to make an appointment right off the bat I was greeted with a horrible attitude and him informing me that they don’t do consultations that they draw on the day of the appointment otherwise they would only spend all their days drawing (that’s fine except it was something I was told completely different) then I proceeded to show him what we would like- the second he saw it he informed us that no artist wants to do a tattoo of another artist that they don’t do that... we both have tattoos and none of them were designed by us my thought is not everyone has to be an artist and creative are we the only people on the planet that don’t design their own tattoos? Of course we wanted SOMETHING like that not exactly like it that’s why we came in for a consultation and actually send our ideas beforehand in the email they didn’t have a problem with it at that time. But he didn’t want to hear anything at that point. I’m never the one to leave bad reviews but wow the way we were treated was just so rude and disrespectful after our one hour trip to see them and being so excited we were greeted right away with just a negative perception right off the bat. So disappointing we really wanted this to be a fun experience and it just left a nasty aftertaste

I come to Flying Tiger following Jay Goods. He is a god of colorful tattoos. He could make even the darkest of skin tones pop and explode with bright beautiful colors. Jay has always been reasonable, respectful, and willing to meet my high standards and expectations. The Flying Tiger is an extremely clean shop with very helpful and friendly staff. i went with my boyfriend and friend and it was me and my boyfriends first tatt together. we went as a walk in tatt and it wasnt a good first tattoo experience. he didnt show us how he set up, as well as he overpriced our tattoos. they were small and over 100$. not just that, i tried to make him aware that i had anxiety and asked if my boyfriend could hold my hand. he said no and he couldnt even touch me. he told me "shut up, i dont care about your anxiety. i care about getting this done and getting it done good" and basically yelled for us to stop moving. he was ridiculously rude and didnt care at all. he didnt put my anxiety into consideration at all. it was a simple quote and i have to get it touched up. it was suc a meaningful tattoo that i got as well as my boyfriend and they werent worth the price. he didnt even tell us after care. he told us to use A&D cream when your not supposed to use that. it draws the ink out. it was a terrible first tattoo experience.

I've gotten a total of 17 piercings done by Jay and I can't think of a single issue or complaint. Every placement is perfect and aligned. His cleaning instructions are easy and effective. Out of all my piercings not one has gotten infected. All of the instruments he uses are fresh out of the package, and he opens them right infront of you. Hands down best piercer I know and I wouldn't even consider going elsewhere.

I’ve been coming here for 8 or so years and have gotten both of my sleeves done by various artists here. I’ve gotten tattooed elsewhere all over the country and flying tiger is by far the cleanest, friendliest and easy-going shop I’ve ever been to. Recently, I began my sleeve with Jeremy, and would trust no one but him to tattoo me from here on out. Always polite and professional and we get along great. Makes the long hours getting drilled by a needle fly by. All the employees I’ve dealt with such as Jeremy and Greg, who mans the front of the office, are exceptional humans and if you go anywhere else but here to get tattooed, you’re making sub-par life decisions. Going here is super necessary.

I was a little surprised. Starting off, the guy behind the front desk was quite short with his answers and had a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He was more interested in shoving food down his throat then dealing with customers. he was definitely not on a professional level. As far as the actual tattooing, it seemed like the work was rushed. Way too fast in my opinion.. As far as detail in the work I had done, there's not much. My tattoo artist name was Joe. He was a great guy but I just wish he took a little more time and made some of the lines more crisp. instead they're quite blotchy and lacking detail. Watching the operation , it seemed like they're more interested in getting people in & out fast. As far as cost, I paid $150 for an hours work.thought it was a little high, but not too bad. the price would have been right with a little more detail. I was planning on getting quite a few tattoos done over the course of the next month or two, but I'll be checking out other shops instead. It's too bad because I wanted to fill up both sleeves and have some work done on my chest. I'm curious to see if the owner sees this or even cares. Hope this helps

Forget about what these 1-star reviews say. This is a high-quality, CLASSIC tattoo shop with a nostalgic feel & great tattooers. Brandon did a great tattoo, quickly, at an excellent price. As a collector & someone who has spent a LOT of time in tattoo shops, I'd highly recommend Flying Tiger...unless you're a cheap, dumb bastard who watches too much Ink Master.

Went to get a cartilage piercing in my ear, brought my 4-year old daughter at the time. It is a nice, clean place. Jay was awesome and did my piercing quick and gave info on care. My daughter is quite sensitive and dramatic and ended up being afraid of the big (albeit mean-looking) tiger on the big window to the front... Jay handled it with care during my embarrassment, I will go back to him for any other piercings I want.

They overcharge you like crazy. I paid $300+ for an armband tattoo that didn't even connect where it was suppose to while i went somewhere else to get a thigh band tattoo for $250+ because they charge $800+ for one. I even went there the other day to get a nose piercing and they were like the guy who's suppose to do it doesn't come in until after 12 but remind you they open at 11
