As someone who is newer to tattoos, I spent several months searching for an artist that I felt comfortable with holding a needle near me. When I first walked into Lucky Devil, Ishmael was immediately the guy. He was very welcoming and helpful and always has great conversation. I was very nervous for my first large tattoo and he was amazingly calming. When it comes to my tattoo, I brought Ishmael two photos and a verbal idea and, out of that, he made a REAL WORK OF ART. I nearly cried, my tattoo is unique an beautiful and I couldn’t have imagined it better if I tried. I will %1000 be coming back for all of my tattoos from now on and I recommend this to anyone else looking for a top quality tattoo service.

Staff was rude. I just moved here from another state and was trying to go to "the hive" for a piercing. It was about 9p at night and accidently ended up in here instead. I've never felt more unwelcomed in a tattoo shop in my entire life. This night I was only getting piercings but I don't have a tattoo artist yet and I sure as hell won't consider this place just by how they treated me. Apparently, this isn't the 1st time the employees at this place have made customers feel bad for walking into the wrong facility. Here's a tip: be courteous to people, direct them to the correct building two doors down, give them your card and say Hey, I know you walked into the wrong place but when you need a tattoo come see me goes a hell of a lot further then making someone feel like they are stupid!!!

This is thee tattoo shop to be getting tattooed in in Colorado Springs. There are two things I look forward to doing when I come to visit 1) seeing my mom and 2) going to Lucky Devil to get some work done. Having been tattooed around multiple tattoo shops in the city I've come to realize that the quality and care these guys put into their profession doesn't meet the standard it sets the standard. I have gotten two pieces by Ishmael and they are absolutely rad. I came in with ideas and Ishmael and I talked them out, he sketched them up, made me feel comfortable, and in the end they were better then the idea i originally had. The shops clean. The aesthetic is great. The tattoo artist are welcoming and not pretentious. In my opinion its the best quality in the city. I look forward to getting tattooed here again. 5 Stars for sure! Seth

This place is amazing. Came for two sessions for large pieces and they came out awesome beyond my expectations. They give you the time and effort to find the right tattoo for you, even if you come in with what you want as in reference, they will automatically improve in the image and give you tips on how to figure your theme/route. The shop doesn’t rush you nor the tattoo process. If you want a great professional tattoo that WILL LAST, definitely come to this place.

I went in for a Colorado flag tattoo with mountains on the inside of my bicep on my left arm. I had Ron as my artist, I brought him the design I wanted and he worked with me on what would be long lasting and logical for a piece. He got right to work and finished in a good amount of time. He was very knowledgeable, and while the tattoo was expensive, it was not overly so and he was fair in pricing. If I get another, I'll certainly be going here.

They did great work on my boyfriend but don't go here if you're a woman, I don't think they like tattooing women. I came in with a very simple design and was told that the artist didn't like it, and would tattoo me if I picked a design off the wall instead. He pointed out things that were probably triple the price of what I brought in and not even remotely similar in content. He spoke to me in a very condescending way the entire time, me and my friend left insulted and astonished.

One of the few legit shops in this city. Ish and Ron are both professional tattoo artists and will give you a solid, clean tattoo. The shop looks fantastic too, and so the experience is great. If you're looking to get some stupid "watercolor" tattoo then don't waste these guy's time. And dont go to Cheri down the street unless you like methy cross-contaminated tattoos and obese lesbians.
