Tyoni Aragon has scared my right forearm in the WORSE way. Me and my girlfriend came in visiting from Oklahoma City. We wish we NEVER came to this place, I have a terrible scar from the shading she did on my arm. It was literally the easiest thing I think a artist had to do, my body is covered in tatts and this was the last thing I expected from this place. I recommend you go some place else. You can literally feel how heavy handed she was, I’ve had tatts from many artist, and I will NEVER have anything good to say about my experience at BLACK diamond. RUN AWAY FROM THIS LADY FOR SURE!!!!!! Other artist maybe alright, but not if they let her continue to tatt here!

I saw Sophie-- she is there only once or twice a month to microblade eyebrows. She's from the UK and in the last 5 years, has had thousands of clients. She's amazing. I researched 8 different places to have my eyebrows microbladed in LA or in Chino Hills, and of all of the 8, Sophie did the best with blonde eyebrows (seen on her Instagram: thebrowdoctors) and she had the best price. She charged me $350 for the initial visit and a free 6-week touch-up, when most places started at $400 and charge another $50 for the 6-week touch-up. Sophie uses a numbing cream, but be advised that it still hurts (just like any tattoo). I wish she had given me more information on aftercare after my first visit, but she did give me a lot of information after my touch-up, so they turned out better than expected. It's been 3 months since my touch-up and they still look great. I use some cheap Elf eyebrow stuff to just fine the lines and make them look sharper. It used to take me 5 minutes to do my eyebrows and they were oily and gross against my skin; now it takes me 20 seconds and they look so natural! Love them.

This place is great for a first timer. Clean, professional, open and spacious. Everyone was very nice especially Melissa. She took very good care of me and was very professional. She asked me all the right questions to make sure I my tattoo was perfect and exactly what I wanted. She is also an enormously talented artist. I was in and out in about 35 minutes. Thanks so much again! I love how the website had a list of etiquette rules and it was easy to set an appointment and pay the reservation fee online.

I was looking for a place in LA to get a tattoo done whilst I was there for a few days on holiday. I found Black Diamond online and decided to go having seen other reviews on here and other places. I am so glad I chose to come! Walked in and immediately felt welcome. Tyoni went over my design ideas and then drew got the stencil ready and I was on the bed! Really happy with the outcome, it is exactly what I wanted. All the staff were really friendly and some of the other artwork I saw when I was in there was amazing. Definitely would recommend! I normally don't write reviews, but felt I wanted to just send my thanks to Black Diamond Tattoo! I recently got my first tattoo here and I didn't know what to expect at all. I'm an avid review reader, so it was important that my first be at a place everyone loved. The reviews aren't wrong. Everyone at Black Diamond was so sweet and kind. I appreciated how patient they were with me. They could have easily been impatient or annoyed since this was my first, but they were so understanding and personable. I got mine on my rib cage, so it was a bit sensitive. My tattoo artist went slow and was detailed with me. He didn't make me feel bad about my nervous chatter (even though you're not supposed to--whoops!). He didn't dismiss me because I didn't know lingo or exactly what I wanted. We went through fonts and he altered it even down to the details of a single letter. No huffing or eye rolling. It felt like a super safe environment. Plus his mom came in and brought food for the whole staff, which I think shows the family culture and care of a place. :) FYI: there is an $80 minimum, so even my baby tattoo was $80. That being said, I didn't mind one bit considering the consult time and perfecting we did on the design. Super happy with it and the experience!

I wanted to get a very detailed tattoo, all words and very small letters on my arm. I called in and the shop recommended Justin Jakus. 100% pleased with the result, and actually surprised at how well it turned out. I wouldn't change anything if I could. Justin has crazy skill...I have never seen a tattoo with so many small letters come out so well. Super clean and detailed. And the font is sick. It takes up almost the whole front side of my forearm with 10 lines of words..so pretty big tat comprised of many small letters..he gave me a great price..unbeatable. Thank you Justin! Have gotten many compliments. Im in Colorado right now and somebody here told me they were going to go to LA to see Justin for a tattoo idea he has based on seeing the ink on my arm. If I ever want another tattoo, I'm going to Justin Jakus. All the tattoo artists here are amazing too, they get the best of the best artists. They really care and treat you well. Just go into the shop and tell them what you want and they'll work with you to select the artist and perfect the design. If you want some ink, you should go here.

My husband and I took the week off and flew in from Chicago just to get tattoos here. We made appointments a month in advance. I had an appointment with Justin jakus and my husband had one with Ken. I sent in pictures and ideas and tried to consult with justin on the phone, but I was told that he would just talk with me the day I came in and that what I wanted wouldn't take long. When I came in for my appointment at 12:00 Justin asked what I wanted so I showed him the picture below and said "I want something similar to this, with the same bird". He then told me he didn't have time to do all of it because he had someone else scheduled at 4pm and I'd have to come back to get the rest done. I told him we came in from out of town just to get our tattoos. He didn't seem to care. Ken spent the whole day working on my husband's half sleeve the day before and also consulted with him beforehand. I was devastated that I wasn't going to get the same attention and time from Justin. I then agreed he could do part of it. I told him I wanted the chickadee sitting in different flowers - just like the photo below. He wrote the word "chickadee" down on a peice of paper and asked me what kind of flowers I liked. I told him I liked peonies and wild flowers but really was open to a lot of different kinds as long as they were all different. He told me to come back in an hour. I came back later and he gave me a small, poorly drawn outline of a sparrow sitting on a cherry blossom branch... ??? We again explained to him that I wanted a chickadee and he said "oh ok, let me look it up" and went back to his computer. At that point I was so fed up and disappointed I just got up and walked out. It was 1:37pm so he'd only have about 2 hours or less to work on it. What a total waste of time...

My walk-in experience was terrible. I’m sure the artist are talented. The shop is well decorated and it’s definitely a vibe. My review is based on that experience alone. Didn’t get tatted after waiting 2hrs and was told to wait another 1hr after I was first told 30mins a long time ago. My first impression of this place was only sour because of that. I’m sure If I would’ve made an appointment and gotten tatted I would’ve been happy with the art. Unfortunately I won’t ever find out nor do I want to. **Note to walk-ins** Come right at noon!

For each time I have visited, I've always been greeted warmly and met with genuine hospitality. Tanner is the best, he's always ready to listen and help. Justin is a quality artist, he's got an eye for what looks great, and is not afraid to take the extra step to make things better than expected. They're both very sweet. Everyone is kind and has a relaxed vibe that I can't quite explain. The wait time might be a while if you arrive as a walk-in, but it's worth it. You'll have to stop by and see it for yourself! I've brought two of my girlfriends here to get some tattoos for their first time, and they feel just about the same way. You won't be disappointed. Positive experiences, without fail, every time. Highly, highly recommend.

Getting a Tattoo isn't a small feat, it requires a lot of thinking, planning, and precision to ensure you're making the perfect body modification with the perfect artistic/philosophical talent and amazement. I researched thoroughly on Yelp before conceding with Black Diamond Tattoo. This was my first Tattoo, and as anyone knows, it can be a nerve-wrecking experience (the pain, the tolerance, the design). Rest assured, I came here as a Walk-In Basis Customer and I am amazed by their staff of Tattoo Artists. They are extremely friendly and chill (not slang by any means, just simply chillaxin' people). I was welcomed and instructed by the ways of getting a Tattoo and was told what to expect. I had to wait awhile, but that wait was worth it completely. My Tattoo Artist was Justin Jakas and that guy knows exactly what you want. I had a brief/vague idea of what I wanted, which was Icarus' Angel Wings Inverted, Influxed, and Staggered across 2 legs. I originally wanted them on my feet, but was expertly and experiencely told that it was impossible. Instead Justin figured out a even better, more perfect place to place the 2 Icarus' Wings. I can say I am extremely proud and absolutely pleased with the results. I love my first Tattoo and stare proudly at them whenever I get the chance. I feel like a walking art masterpiece and it also pronounces the sexy feel I wanted as Justin accentuated the sex muscles in my lower calves-legs. I have already booked another appointment with Justin Jakus to do Angel Wings on my upper back just because I know he speaks to any Tattoo-goers language. It's not just him, but the whole staff of Tattoo Artists know what you want, where you want, and when you want. I wholeheartedly recommend Black Diamond Tattoo for new Tattoo-goers up to Professionals for their next Tattoo Masterpiece!

I've been to WH to the Honorable Society in 2015 or so and you receive stellar everything: from walk-in consultation, to freehand drawing, to a nice tattoo- to, guess what, cordial interactions. I'm not here to be your friend, I'm not here to sass you, I'm not here to see how far your head is in the clouds. I'm here cause I want your service. You would think Venice would house chill and laid back people- what's the deal yo? oh but like me, the guy is from the east coast. Lol I came in for a cover up tattoo from my early high school years. Just a consultation and was bothered because he couldn't hear me due to the music, then he asked me to move from one side of the counter to the other, "can you move here................ - please"-guy behind counter. You have a high pedigree? hand me dates so I can schedule a consultation and so you can figure out how to talk to me in a place where you can hear me. And ask me for a deposit. Simple. But the receptionist didn't have a problem listening to anything I had to say. I walked out. Tattoo this one.

Shop is nice, clean, and open. Very welcoming atmosphere and the crew comes off as nice and genuinely care/interested in the work each other are doing. Juan did a realistic portrait of a Lion for me and it turned out amazing. The process from beginning to end was very smooth and seamless. I noticed that many of the artist here like to listen to their personal music while inking their clients. Do not take offense to this as it's not them not wanting to socialize with you but they really need to be relaxed and in their mode/groove to ink you for hours. Will for sure come back on my next visit to LA.

Mat did an amazing palm tree cover up! His simple line work was able to completely fix my palm tree. Good tattoos aren't cheap, cheap tattoos aren't good. I'll be back to see Mat again soon!
