I went in almost a week ago looking to get a simple wrist band done (literally just a single line), and I knew going into it it could be up to $100 because typically armbands cost more since they go all the way around. The man I spoke with (not the owner, the other artist who has really long hair) seemed very off-put from the moment I showed him the picture of the tattoo I wanted. In his own words, he said to me “I don’t know how else to put it, but tattoos like that are really reserved for people who earn them.” Keep in mind, I have a huge tattoo covering my left forearm and another tattoo covering 3/4 of my bicep, as well as a tattoo on my finger, so I’m not a newbie. He then went on to say that the line probably wouldn’t even be straight and then tried to talk me out of it by saying I didn’t know what kind of job I was going to get in the future and whatnot. I didn’t come in there to get a lesson on how tattoos are permanent and can affect job opportunities because I have tattooes covering half my arms, if I were to not get a job because of my tattoos the one I want on my wrist isn’t going to change that. He finally gave me a quote and said it would be at LEAST 150 just for the one line. Needless to say, I took my business somewhere else and was told they could get it done no problem and only charged me 80, and I love it. The owner of Rusty Needle is a cool guy (which is the only reason this review has 2 stars), he actually did the tattoo on my forearm and I love it, but the guy with long hair, oh I don’t know how to put it, should not be allowed to work with people because of his rude and demeaning attitude. If you go there, make sure you get the owner as your artist.
