THIS place is awesome! Kendall did a tattoo on my foot about two years ago. The shop is the cleanest and most organized shop I've ever been in. Chris did a large piece on my husband's back last year. My husband couldn't be happier with the finished product. Al communities from both Chris and Kendal was very professional. They both ensured we were happy with the designs they had created based on mine and my husband's expectations. They ensured we understood what they thought would look good and what would not. AT NO TIME WERE EITHER RUDE OR CONDESENDING. I have recommended this shop to all of my family and friends. My best friend and I have actually decided when we get our matching tattoos she and I will be using Chris and Kendall. Bottom line look no further for quality ink and professional service!

I've been here several times for artwork and have loved every experience. I had a large tattoo I wanted to have covered up. After having several artists tell me it wasn't possible I stopped searching. While in Afghanistan I read an article in a tattoo magazine about a shop in my home state. That article stuck with me, and it was on Golden Lotus. After several years I decided I would reach out and see if it could be done. Kendal told me that it was 100% doable. My first experience in the shop was 8 hours and it was awesome! Now I can just shoot Kendal a message on Facebook with an idea and he takes it from there. (We have become pretty good friends) We'll get it all set up and booked. He always takes it to the next level and I'm never left with something that I don't want. I drive 2 hours to get an awesome, one of a kind tattoo just because it's well worth it to me! When it comes to tattoos, you have to have an open mind and let the artist be an artist. You just give them an idea of what you like and let them do what they are best at. I would rather an artist tell me it won't work, than the artist stick it on me and then me realize it doesn't work. Kendal knows I'm open to anything and that he is the artist. I'm just the canvas who had the idea. That's how you get a next level tattoo. Be open minded, bring the idea, and let the artist be the artist. All of the artist are great in this shop!

I went to Chris Thomas at Golden Lotus for the first time about 10 years ago and he did a portrait of my daughter on my arm and have been going back ever since. I just finished a full chest piece and sleeve with him and couldn't be happier with it. I knew the theme I wanted to go with but didn't know exactly what I wanted and Chris put his creativity to work and I LOVE it!! I drive a little over two hours just to have him work on me because he is worth it. Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good and remember, above all else, tattoos are permanent so make the drive and spend the money for something you can be proud of for years to come.

I went to this place for my first tattoo and I loved it!! I had researched for a while different places because I wanted a high quality tattoo obviously. I looked at all there work and fell in love with Chris Thomas's work (although all of there work is great) his just seemed like he had done a lot of work that I wanted done. I emailed with him asking a lot of what I thought were stupid questions because of course this being my first tattoo I was unsure of a lot of things but he emailed me back with no problems we set an appointment and I paid my deposit which went towards my tattoo later which is what I thought was awesome. I drive the 3.5 hrs. to the shop and they were nice I showed him what I want and he talked with me and showed me a bunch of different ways he would custom my design so that it didn't look like anyone else's and we got started 4hrs later my work was done and I love it he tweaked and added as we went such as color to highlight that was just thrown in (of course with my approval) and he didn't charge more. after wards I wanted a t-shirt to remember the first shop i got my first tattoo at and he gave me 2 for he price of one (my bf was with me) and he gave me my tattoo cream for free. this man and he shop was amazing and im so glad I took the time to drive that far for the experience!! I recommend it to everyone!

Chris was very professional and nice and provided good criticism on the work that was wanted until we came up with an idea that worked. I don’t really get why this shop has so many reviews about the staff being rude and not willing to work with you. They were all amazing and even laughed and joked around with me and my fiancé. Called and asked the receptionist if they take walk-ins for piercings or did I needed to make an appointment. Her answer was, "we don't do piercings, we only do tattoos.". I said OH, I'm so sorry. Well, do you guys recommend anyone in that area that would do a good job for piercings, and she said"you can use google for your area" and "I really dont know if anyone still does those". Wow, no tact, I was hesitant about believing the 3, or 4 reviews of them being rude. but now that I've experienced it the only time I've ever talked to them. I can agree with the 1 stars. I like ink, and piercings, but WILL NOT be using anyone that can't even be polite or courteous on the phone. One more thing, I've seen some of their work on people in my town, and it looks good for an Arkansas tattoo, but overall compared to tatts outside of this state, they suck. Line work is real shaky and the color really isnt as good as it could be. Bad for business. Use'm if you want to.

WOULD PUT NEGATIVE IF I COULD! Harrassed and threatened of violence by these people over social media. Worst business I've ever encountered. Horrible people who have no respect for others. I set up the consultation, eager to start my piece, I was all but ready to drop close to three grand after it was all said and done (over time of course, also lifelong customer in the making.) Knowing I was more than ready, already picturing the one on my arm like it was already there, I paid the deposit before I left the minute consultation. (Which from where I'm staying in LR is a good over an hour drive with the traffic after work.) I messaged Chris asking simple questions about what we discussed in consultation. (Every time I called, no one answered.) Never once did I mention I wasn't happy, I repeated many times that it is in his hands since he's the artist. I didn't want to come off as "this EXACTLY what I want and I WANT it regardless if it looks bad in ten years!" I wanted communication, input, collaboration as it is a team effort to create what is in one persons mind and creating it with the skill of another. Well apparently after that either Chris decided he didn't have the skill set to do so (which he should have told me before accepting my deposit) or something else to that matter as he replied he will no longer do my project. To get my refund back I had to drive over an hour in LR rush hour traffic after being threatened (stating he screenshoted everything so I can't give a bad review.) Well that was all fine and dandy, until I show up... and they were then EXTREMELY rude to me. Also tried to keep me in the store until I gave them my personal information like my driver's license, address etc... when I had absolutely no service done by them and they didn't require any of that when they took my deposit. I left a review on their page with the screenshots of how he treated me, the full conversation to show I was nice and respectful and just putting my full experience out there for others to make of it what they would. Chris Thomas, his wife and about 150 other people harrassed me online for about 6 hours. Threats of violence, law suit for deflection of character (or whatever it's called) from my review, saying I needed my uterus stomped, and since I did not give a reaction to any of their continued cruelity, they started tagging me in their comments until I blocked them all. Worst customer service experience I've ever had. Never been basically cyber bullied by a business and their friends before.

Great customer service , friendly atmosphere. Their work and prices are the best I have received. Just like any good art work , don't expect a master piece in 10 minutes , it takes time ,planning and communication . GREAT GROUP OF PEOPLE . LOVE'EM............

I have had one 4 hour sitting with Nick so far. He is a truly talented artist, the tattoo turned out looking phenomenal! I have to say that the place is clean, it is a very well kept shop. I have seen another user complain about the prices and attitude of the staff... Nick was and the other artist on that side of the shop were friendly and we all joked around through out my sitting. The prices are not bad at all! I spent time as an apprentice, and the prices where I worked were comparable, and I am sorry that this needs said, but a good tattoo is not cheap and a cheap tattoo is not good. If you want to get tattooed in a clean shop by an artist that you can be proud to show off your stuff, you will pay more than you would to a Basement Commando, that is just basic fact. I will be returning to Nick for more work soon. If you are in the Little Rock area and you want a tattoo that looks amazing... Look no further!

I have more than a dozen tattoos. Some black and gray and some color, and all large pieces. Every one of them was done by Chris Thomas. He is the owner of Golden Lotus and an award winning tattoo artist. In my opinion as far as Arkansas tattoo artists go, Chris is the best of the best. I would never go to anyone else for my tattoos. Please keep in mind that while yes it is your body, it is also the art of that tattoo artist that is being put on display. Once you have received a tattoo, you essentially become a “walking billboard” for that tattoo artist. People will see your tattoos and they will ask you who did the artwork. Based on whether the tattoo is good or bad effects whether they are asking where to go or where NOT to go. No tattoo artist worth going to will be willing to put their name and reputation on a bad tattoo. Believe it or not this is a GOOD thing. It means they actually care about the art and not just making a buck. Remember when looking to get a tattoo that the men and women who do the tattoos are the artist. You are not. Trust them when they tell you the best way to turn your idea in to a great tattoo that will wear well over time. Chris and his team will never put their name and reputation on a bad idea. If you want the best, go to the best and that is Golden Lotus Tattoo Studio. If you are only interested in getting your way, go somewhere else and remember Golden Lotus when you realize you were wrong and are ready for your “cover up” tattoo. Golden Lotus tattoo Studio is a clean tattoo shop with a great atmosphere and truly professional tattoo artists. I have used Chris @ GL for years now. He and his fellow artists are some of the most down to earth and REAL people I have met in a very very long time. When you go to a shop and want a artist to put his work on your body you want them to be like Chris, Amy, and Kendall! They take pride in their work. I read thru all these comments and people are saying they’re arrogant or overpriced. We confidence is not arrogance and you get what you pay for! I’ve never overpaid for any of my pieces. Honestly I feel like I have underpaid for some of it. I’ve gotten more compliments on the work Chris has done on my left arm than anything else I’ve had. DO NOT let these negative reviews steer you away. Be an adult and make the decision for urself by talking to them or looking at some of their canvases. Chris, Amy, & Kendall y’all keep up the good work!! Proud to call Golden Lotus my Tattoo Home!!

I got my first tat here by Matt Thomas about nine years ago and it still looks great. It started out as a simple cross, but Matt continuously came up with creative ways to texturize and shade the tattoo making it unique so that by the time it was finished it was completely one-of-a-kind. We took a break half-way through the tattoo, and I could have gone home then and been happy with it. I've gotten lots on compliments on the cross. The price was a little steep, but he threw in a hat and tattoo ointment gratis. You pay for what you get. Quality or quantity?

I use to go to this place to get my tattoos before my tattoo artist moved to the most amazing shop Diamond State Tattoo. I walked in though to see an artist I had used once and they were all rude. The owner Chris was very disrespectful and the whole place just seemed very unprofessional and I won't ever go back. I asked if Kendall had time to do a tattoo and an artist there looked at me and said "can't you see he's busy" And then everyone else just was absolutely rude and after that my husband and I walked out! Chris the owner is a douchebag! I witnessed him yelling at a girl because she was scared of a tongue piercing, while he was tattooing me. His work is not great, just ok at his best. He is too cocky. He thinks he is better than what he is, and he is very overpriced for his work.

I've had 3 tattoos done here. Each by different Artists (Kendall Harley, Nick Pierce, & Matt O'Baugh). Matt and Nick have since started their own shops down the road. Best of the Best! And to whoever thinks this place is "overpriced" or "too expensive", you get what you pay for with tattoos. These are quality works of art. They actually like to take their time & put their talent to use while also giving you what you want, not just copying a picture of a tat you saw someone else get. These are with you your whole life. If you can't afford it & don't think good quality tats are worth their price, just get some temp tattoos.

Got my first tattoo from Kendal and he was very determined to make sure my tattoo would look great now and in 10 years from now. I showed him a small detailed tattoo and he said it is way too small and it would not look good in a few years. He enlarged it to the size it should be (tiny tattoos ruin quickly with age when the ink blurs under the skin). Of course I didn’t know this and any other tattoo place would just take my money and do it. He ensured me that Golden Lotus would not give a tattoo if they knew it would not be a good one. He was of course stern and serious about his art (people easily find this rude and get offended) but I trusted his skill and intelligence in this field of work. The tattoo came out exactly how I wanted! He was kind and helpful and I will definitely continue to use them for the rest of my tattoos. Very talented and truthful people!

I’ve never experienced the awful, condescending attitude like I did from both Kendal and Amy (especially Amy) today at golden lotus. I walked away after I was asked WHY I was even there when I didn’t know what font I wanted for a Roman numeral date tattoo. They open 2pm and we’re already on a smoke break at 2:03 when we pulled up. When we walked up to the door to go in, there was NO greeting. Extremely poor customer service.

This is by far the best tattoo shop that I've ever been to. All 4 artist are professional, respectful, talented, and most of all...honest! I have gotten 3 large pieces done here over the past few months. I got 2 amazing pieces done by Kendal (1 Good vs Evil - Black and Grey, 1 American Flag with 2 M16's in color). Last week I got a bad ass Freddie Krueger portrait on my calf (Black and Grey). I am excited to get back in there and add to the collection =)
