I have nothing but positive things to say about this Tattoo shop. I have had a couple larger pieces done here and they all turned out great. I have only dealt with Nick who is easy and great to work with, but everyone who works there is always super nice. The shop is nice and clean and there is always a cool movie showing to keep your mind off all the fun pain! I recommend them from small or large Tattoos just go talk with an artist you won't regret it.

I would not recommend this tattoo shop. The staff was very unprofessional and rude and they only had one person to do piercings which is odd because it’s a tattoo and piercing shop. I came in at 6:26 pm and before I got in the door they were saying we don’t accept people after 6:30 , without even asking what I wanted.

This place is the only tattoo parlor that’ll I’ll ever use. It’s extremely clean first of all. Everybody there does good work. Darion did my last 2 tattoos. One tattoo is of my dog’s paw print that recently passed away and my other one is a treble clef and bass clef in the shape of a heart. I️ definitely would recommend this place if you want to get some good quality ink for an affordable price. Anyone leaving bad reviews probably showed up 30 minutes before closing and expected to get 5 hours or so worth of work done—which is nonsense.

Came in today for my first tattoo, they got me in fairly quickly after I arrived. They have nice staff and our tattoo artist Miguel was great! The music playing was pretty good and the tattoo on my foot went pretty smooth, he was very gentle! Great first tattoo experience. Will be back to see Miguel!

It took me a while to post this since my phone broke, but I can for sure give them 5 stars! We went to 4 different tattoo parlors and empire was the ONLY that sat down with us and looked at our tattoo ideas and gave us a price. The other places would glace at our pictures we brought and give a price range without letting us explain any intricate details. The tattoo was pretty simple but since it was my husband's first tattoo, I wanted this done right. Miguel tattooed both of us and it was great he was respectful, nice and informative about aftercare. Definitely going back to him for our next one! Highly recommend!

My tattoo is missing ink in some spots. Sure she said I could come in for a touch up for free but I live out of town and I expect to have a simple tattoo like I got to have all the ink actually in my skin. She was really nice and the actual outline doesn't look bad at all, but she didn't go deep enough. Update it's literally looking like the ink is just scabing off and with some of the ink missing in spots it looks terrible.

I am 49 and a grandma, so when I wanted a tattoo, I was a little nervous! I chose a beautiful Chinese Hope symbol on the back of my neck. They were WONDERFUL! Very nice to me, the pain was minimal, and it was quick! I recommend them for ALL your tats and they also do piercings.

NEGATIVE 5 STARS!! THE UGLY MAN ATTITUDE ANSWERED THE PHONE. All I wanted to do was ask a general question and he began being very rude. It's not my fault you are not happy and it displays with his attitude. I will never spend my money with someone that talk to their customers like he did with me. Do NOT and I repeat do NOT go to this tattoo shop, you'll come out being just as upset. Customer service is horrible!! Run. Run. Run. Run as fast as you can.

Everybody at Empire is extremely welcoming and helpful. They've had a very busy past few weeks with the "Toys for Tatts" special and are still handling business exceptionally well. Not to mention the awesome tattoo I received and the fact that it's for a great cause. They have definitely gained a new long term customer. Also, in regards to any negative comments posted recently about the Toys for Tatts special, it's a little hard to get in to get a tattoo at 5:30pm on a Thursday when people started lining up at 10:30am (most people would expect this). And for the record, "the guy at the front" is not a "douchebag". He was very helpful and courteous even with the massive amounts of customers :)

The piercer (female purple haired lady with lip and eyebrow piercings) could not even pierce one earlobe. Her hands were shaking ridiculously and she had to pierce the ear twice because she messed up the first time. Blood everywhere (which should not be happening with a normal ear piercing) She then had the audacity to demand payment after her screw up. Do not come here for piercings of any kind.

I had a piercing that bothered me even after 3 years of being in. I've had other piercers try to correct it but it only made the problem worse. I took the ring out just to stop the pain, but ended up not being able to put the ring back in. I went to Dave and literally after a day the pain stopped. Literal miracle worker, but I'm sure the quality of the jewelry contributed. Very friendly atmosphere and great customer service. I will definitely continue to come here for all my piercings!

We first went here so my boyfriend could get a tattoo, We had Danny do it, I talked to him about a tattoo I was thinking about doing, and the concerns I had, as it was my first tattoo. He went over everything with me and even took the tattoo needle and poked me with it, so I could make sure I could handle it. That day I also got my Helix pierced! He was so gentle and it did not hurt at all. On the day of the appointment my best friend and I got our tattoos done, I was not easy to deal with because I kept moving, but he still did a amazing job! He took breaks so that he could put cream on the area to not be so inflamed and it also gave me the chance to see how it was coming along. My best friend and I are so amazed at his work!! I am stationed in Virginia and everyone down here says how beautiful it looks and where I got it done at. I PROUDLY tell them EMPIRE TATTOO in ILLINOIS. Next time I come home I am having him do poppy flowers because his floral work is absolutely amazing. The whole shop is chill and down to earth and everyone is clean. 10/10 without a doubt!!!!!

HORRIBLE costumer service! Only went there for the toys for tots drive because I thought it was great that they were helping out kids. The guy at the front was very rude, was not helpful couldn’t do a tat for the drive bc they were booked but you couldn’t make an apt. and I could try another day but I would have to get there before they opened and wait and I still might not be able to get a tat why advertise a deal you’re not going to honor, oh and they had time if I paid full price (I was planning on tipping more than normal price for tat bc I thought giving to the kids was so great) luckily I walked out without getting a bad tattoo and went to a place I trust and where the artist are nice and kind and helpful (living canvas). Ok folks, to all of my 30,000 followers I've got a special one for you . If your into tattoos , look no further, I've found a real gem. I bought my son his first tattoo for his 22nd BIRTHDAY and I could not have been more pleased. First , the owner, Nic Perri keeps his place super clean and orderly. Very homey as well, and inviting. My son had one of the best times ever without drinking. Lol. The quality is absolutely fantastic. They are light handed enough to make it not so painful , but still penetrating just the right amount to get the job done. The tattoo itself turned out absolutely perfect. Nic had got to be the fastest tattoo gun in the country, no joke. This guy is amazing. His other artists are really great as well. I'll be able to tell you more after I get MY back piece done. And I will and I would not consider using another place after this wonderful experience. So, in closing I am telling you all, THIS IS THE PLACE, THE ONLY PLACE TO GO IN THIS AREA . I promise you wont be sorry. Of all my reviews, this one is special. I had never met these guys before today but I couldn't have been any more impressed.

If I could give this place a lower score I would. One star does not begin to cover the awful service I received from Empire Tattoo. Completely unprofessional and just over all awful quality. A sign in the lobby reads "Prices subject to change according to the customer's attitude", a small warning to the immaturity and shitty attitude of the employees and management. If you have any respect for yourself and your body, don't go here. Find somewhere else and find it quickly.

There are better places for cheaper remember always check out someones previous art before getting a tattoo not just that book on the table because you never know what artist did what . I did and found better and cheaper very disappointed in my tattoo after I got this new one done and was able too see and feel the difference in how I was tattooed .

I came in with a friend to each get a tattoo done and called ahead and told them what I wanted and they said they would have time to do it. We get there pay for my friends tattoo and they begin setting up for it and tell me they won't have time to do mine even though they had just said they would. So I even tried to compromise and asked if I got it smaller if they'd have time and again they said no to come back tomorrow. So I was pissed about that but I caled back the next day to make sure they'd have time to do it, and again they said no but to call back on a later day and they'd try to do it. The customer service is ridiculous, and common sense should tell you if two people come in together to get tattoos you should let them know on advance if you can only do one of them. I'll never go back to this place. Oh and not to mention they quoted me one price then when it came time to write it down raised the price by almost $100.00. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the work. The guy who did my friends tattoo was nice enough and did a good job matching it to what she wanted. But I'd go somewhere else in a heartbeat.

We had such an amazing time at Empire Tattoo. I went in and had my snakebites redone and I got my septum pierced. Krystal is very gentle and she is a great conversationalist. While waiting our turn for my piercings, my husband has a piece of flash catch his eye. The tattoo artist, Dannie, was phenomenal. She was fast and very friendly. We felt right at home there and it's going to be our new body modification home. Go check 'em out!
