The best tattoo shop in NWA! I've only ever seen high quality work come from here. They do a great job with tattoos and piercings and they genuinely care about their customers! They also do a great job at walking you through the aftercare process, so if your tattoo gets crusty and gross, you only have yourself to blame!

Great experience! Went in for a quote and consult a week prior and decided to try my luck as a walk-in on a Saturday. My tattoo is beautifully sized, placed, and shaded. Very happy with the work, friendliness of everyone at the shop, and the pricing. I will definitely be back. If you are interested in a walk in- my advice is to arrive right when they open at noon. I will post a photo when my tattoo is fully healed, but I had a wonderful experience at Brainstorm. I went in as a walk in, and Josh was my tattoo artist. He was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and helping me design my tattoo in a way to cover up a smaller tattoo. He was professional, fun to talk to, and extremely gentle. This piece filled up most of my ribs on my right hand side. He was very gentle with the needle to where I didn't even scar at all. I had the normal peeling and healing, but only one tiny place with a deeper scar. I found this to be very impressive. Covering up the old piece meant a lot to me and I am in love with the Peony that replaced it. Each of the artists here were fun, polite, and eager to answer questions. Highly recommend.

Love this shop, I moved from chicago, looked for a long time before I decided on a place to go, I have seen alot of folks tattooed up, looking good, but not the best! Alot of run down, dirty places I noticed. Girls I work with AWFUL tats., had to go get touched up or covered up and alot of faded tats, So I have a daughter traveled to branson nice work there. Again I had some of my work done in alaska, vegas artist. This shop is top of the game here, anywere in my opinion, the place is clean, new, new equipment, good looking , professional guys that know what I like and how to translate it. I am new at all of this and my kids tell me I am going through a midlife crisses. Ha so what if I am. I went in as a walk-in and had my nose pierced and my ear pierced for migraines and Drew was awesome! They were quick to get me in and when I had questions he was quick to get back to me. I grew up where my mom and dad did not approve of tattoos and piercings. I never got one because I always felt like I would disappointe them if I did anything. Well after losing our daughter in a car accident I wanted to honor her with a butterfly. She loved rainbows and butterflies. My mom got to see my nose pierced and I told her I would be getting a tattoo soon .... She was okay with it. I looked around places and did a lot of research by asking people that had tattoos where they got them and looking at reviews. The answer that came up over and over was Brainstorm Tattoo. When I walked in the door it smelled and looked clean. Everyone was very friendly. I can't wait to go back to Drew and get my tattoo. When my son turns 18 we will be going back to get one for him. Oh and the piercing for the migraines has really worked. I have had 2 epsoides where I only had the zig zag lines and then they went away and no headache!!! Thanks Brainstorm

I did shop around before deciding to go here and I'm extremely happy with my results. I got a cover up for an old tattoo that was all black. Everywhere I had checked before said they MIGHT be able to cover it. I went to Brainstorm and they were confident they could help me out. The entire staff that I got the pleasure of talking to was so incredibly nice and Dave, my artist, went over my design with me and explained how he planned to do the cover up. When I decide on another one I will definitely go back to Brainstorm.

I have seen the work that they've done..and yes, it's good. I went there with my wife to get a tattoo when she was diagnosed with cancer, and they told us they couldn't do it. Said it wouldn't look right. We didn't even get to talk to a tattoo artist..just the secretary at the front desk. They acted like we weren't important enough to work with. So we went to Supernova instead and got the ink we wanted. Supernova will get my money from now on. They did exactly what we wanted. Such a let down. It's a shame that Brainstorm has gotten so big that they don't really care about customers anymore.

I went in to Brainstorm to get my first two tattoos last Sunday since it’s my only day off work. Everyone I delt with was laid back, but professional. Great overall vibe, and the place is very clean with good music playing to set the mood. Dave (good strong name...) did my tattoos, and he was not only professional, but fun to talk shop with. This was good for me since I had never gotten a tattoo before and appreciated the distraction now and then. I had sketched out an idea, which I e-mailed to him, and he made a few adjustments while still honoring the original idea (a couple of pieces for my newborn daughters). He even got my handwriting right while increasing the lettering size and cleaning everything up. Dude knows his stuff. When it was all done, only about an hour or so later, Dave was very informative regarding how to care for the tattoo during the healing process, and invited me to come back in a few weeks once it was healed to make sure it looked right. I will definitely return to Dave and Brainstorm whenever I am ready for another tattoo.

They double checked where I wanted the piercing and gave me a great stud, and told me how to take care of it. Didn’t hurt much at all! These guys are very clean and swift about their piercings! My friend and I walked in this afternoon without an appointment. I got my nose pierced and she got her tragus pierced, and they did an amazing job. They were so friendly and nice, and they were really quick. Everyone in there was very relaxed but professional and they answered all of our questions. I went in for a nose piercing last night and it was almost closing time. They still took me in and made me feel welcome. You know how some places don't like it when you come in close to closing time. The place is full of positive energy and the artwork on the walls will keep you distracted for hours. Some of the reviews on here are hilarious. If you want cheap and shoddy work (tattoos or piercing) the second you walk in, go to one of the many below-average shops in the area. If you want great work at a good price, then Brainstorm is the best. Josh has created and tattooed 99% of my work, and he is fantastic. There are other great artists here—the owner Tim is amazing, Drew, Jason, Dave, and Judd are all super talented. And Beckett is funny and awesome, and he'll be tattooing soon, too. JUST GO! You won't regret it. It is the only shop in Fayetteville where you should get tattooed and/or pierced.

I've gotten a tattoo done here, and the wait can be long or short depending on when you enter. This past weekend, we got there right as they opened for a walk-in. They were honest and friendly and did a great job with timing and design. I've also gotten my helix pierced here, which went well. It was a clean process. The artists are typically talkative. And, as a bonus, the design is cool.

I got an impulse tattoo at Beeline tattoo, of which was awful! The tattoo artist tore my skin up to where it was all scar tissue. I went to Brainstorm to discuss a cover up. The staff was professional, and very helpful, even though covering scar tissue is difficult. Brainstorm will be where I get any further tattoo work done! Josh was able to cover the monstrosity I had and I couldnt be happier with his work!!!!! I will need a few touch ups, to complete the coverup, due to the scar tissue, but I am beyond happy with his work! Everyone at Brainstorm was amazing to work with! Highly recommend!

I wanted to take my 16 year old to get her ears pierced, properly, so I was checking different reviews in NWA to find a place to take her. I was impressed by the number and nature of positive reviews Brainstorm had, and in particular the good things said about Drew. I called for information on to a couple of different studios and was again pleased with the guy (sorry guy, I'm not sure who you were!) who answered the phone and his professionalism and helpfulness. He let me know what kind of paperwork we'd need to get a minor's ears piereced, which I hadn't even considered, so that was appreciated. We were there on a very busy day - they were having some kind of special on small tats due to the date - and we hadn't thought about that when we decided to go. However, they got us in right away, they were professional and friendly from the start and Drew was great. My daughter hadn't had any piercings before so I was hoping this would be a positive experience. Drew and the front desk staff ensured that it was. Drew is friendly and easy to talk to, likes DC Universe comics and is just funny and kind. They made sure we knew how to take care of it and Drew gave us his card so we could call with any concerns. There hasn't been one concern - the piercings are great a month later, and my daughter was really surprised at how much it *didn't* hurt. Thanks, Brainstorm and Drew for such a great experience!

On the day of my appointment, Jed had set up the perfect design for me and made sure everything was just how I wanted it. He was the picture perfect tattoo artist! I've only gone here for my nose piercing. Walked in. No appointment. Drew is the piercer and he's great. Sweet and friendly guy who explains the process very thoroughly. I got it done in April 2016 and had him change my jewelry about 3 months later. The very next day I accidentally knocked it out and couldn't get the jewelry back in. It was just my luck that it was a Sunday. I go into the shop on Monday and find out he is out for 2 weeks on vacation, BUT this part speaks to how great and helpful the people at Brainstorm are. The guy I talked to actually reached out to Drew and told him my situation. Drew said to text him and I did. He suggested what I should do and connected me with someone while hes out. I appreciated that because he was very willing to help as much as he could while he was out on vacation.

They're also very level and even on each side, which some piercers have problems with, but not this one! Would definitely recommend for any piercings, even though I cannot yet vouch for the tattoo artists! :)

She had a very calm demeanor and wonderful bedside manner which really helped, too. I had an issue with one of the piercings and had to go back a few hours later. Josh Henderson is simply the best! He has done virtually every tattoo on my body, and I always go back for more. Give him an idea, and let him do his thing. He will make a beautiful design for you, then do a brilliant job tattooing it on you. I can't recommend Josh and Brainstorm enough. The studio is bright, smells awesome, and is spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere is fun and laid back. This is the only place to go in Fayetteville to get tattooed.

Went here to get my septum pierced. Waited about twenty minutes, so not bad. The guy took forever lining up the piercing, which is fine, can’t rush perfect. Finally get it done, he vaguely explains how to keep it clean, I pay and we’re good. Until now, over a month later, I’m finally able to take the piercing out and I’m now going to have to literally cut it in half because the balls at the end of the barbell were screwed on WAY too tight. Not even pliers are getting these babies. Might want to specify that you’d like to take the jewelry out eventually if you’re going to these guys.

10/10 will go again. Friend and I received foot tattoos from Drew. He was not only very helpful with the designs and but also ensuring we were knowledgeable about the process and relaxed. Brainstorm tattoos itself was a very clean and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We've gotten tattoos here and they came out great. The last time we went in though we got way over quoted on our tattoos. We went to Zodiac which has comparable reviews and they quoted us over $200 cheaper than Brainstorm. If Zodiac does a good job we'll probably continue to go there instead.

Staff was not friendly, nice, or helpful in the slightest. We came in wanting to ask about prices and set up an appointment (mind you the store wasn’t very busy maybe two people in front of us). Finally when someone came to “help” we asked one question, along the lines of “how much would this be” and pulled up a picture of a drawing a friend drew (specifically for a tattoo). His response? “I don’t know”. Like? Okay, could you at least LOOK at the photo ?? Or maybe point us in the direction of someone who perhaps would know ?? Oh! And icing on the cake! He walked off directly after answering to help someone else, and then a line formed and magically we were at the back of it ?? Like cool I get IF y’all were busy you wouldn’t have time for silly questions, I’ve gone through this process before (with different tattoo shops, who I shouldn’t have left ig) but you could’ve asked us to, oh idk maybe ... wait for someone who CAN talk to us?? Idk just a suggestion for the future. Legit, worse experience I ever had.

Drew pierced my septum like a freaking champ and succinctly explained aftercare. I have absolutely no pain with it (heck yes for the sweet spot, amiright?) and I've already taken a toddler elbow to nose. The shop is clean and while I waited I chatted up some of the other customers (and saw some awesome new pieces) and the overall consensus is that Brainstorm is THE place to go for your tattooing and piercing needs in Fayetteville.

Piercing experience itself was great but was given poor instructions for treatment of the piercing. Resulted in trouble with the piercing healing. Had to do my own research and trial/error process for proper treatment and thankfully my piercing is healing well now. Word of advice to folks reading this: Wound Wash and sea salt soaks work wonders.
