When looking for an artist for the first time, most tattoo shops can be intimidating and unwelcoming if you don't know anyone. Gypsy Rose is NOTHING like that! From the moment you walk through the door, all of the artists greet you in an open and professional manner, ready to answer any questions you might have. The shop is clean and comfortable and it doesn't feel weird to just sit and look through the artists' books. ALL of the artists are pleasant to deal with and help every step of the way. Each artist has his/her own style, and one is not afraid to introduce the other if they feel that a certain artist may fit the style/design better than the other because they want you to love your tattoo(s). I, personally, love Lloyd's style of work, but they all are so talented and create beautiful pieces and/or help you come up with a tattoo that you may have been envisioning, bringing it to life on skin. Additionally, they make sure that you are comfortable throughout the tattoo process and try to make it as painless as possible. Compared to other shops, Gypsy Rose's prices are incredibly reasonable. You are not paying for inflated egos here; just good, quality work and experience. I will not go anywhere else and obviously HIGHLY recommend.

There *are* other places much closer, but it's definitely worth the trip for me! I have been to tattoo parlors around the US and Canada, so when I say Gypsy Rose is a great place to get a tat, I know what I'm talking about. The place was impeccably clean, and each artist observed individual cleanliness standards more like a hospital than a tat parlor. Staff were professional and knowledgeable, and the artists went out of their way to make sure each customer understood the permanent nature of the art, as well as getting the art they really wanted, where they wanted it. Nadia is amazing! She''s been my only artist for about 3 years now, and I will follow her wherever she goes! She's done 4 new tattoos for me, one touch-up, and I'm going in for a 5th tomorrow. In my opinion, her hand is near perfect. Light enough that neither you, nor the colors themselves bleed all over the place, but heavy enough that the color stays and really pops. I've had people tell me the colors are so bright, it looked like someone just drew it on with a marker. I cannot possibly recommend her highly enough. The shop itself is great as well, very clean and welcoming, not the awkward, nervous ambiance that I feel most shops have. Overall, this place is awesome, and if you're looking for a first time place, or just a new shop, trust me, this is the one!
