Crissie is the absolute best! Combining intelligence and talent, she is an amazing artist. The shop is very clean and she is clean as well; she never smells like cigarette smoke or anything unpleasant. Just saying that because I've been to a lot of repulsive tattoo shops. Crissie is my person from now on and this is the only shop I go to for ink!

Went in to get a tattoo on a business trip like i always do. The owner (shorter lady) was immediately rude and kicked me out of the shop for asking if the artist was in. Apparently she was upset i didnt automatically assume she was the artist while she sits in reception. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Went to River Valley instead and had a great experience. If i could give lower than 1 star I would. Go to River Valley, incredible work done by them.

I received my first tattoo from crissie December of 2009, I've had multiple compliments and many fella soldiers drooling over my tattoo and many have gotten different variations of it, fella soldiers in my unit, and several civilians from around the states have complimented on the detail, yet the simplicity of the tattoo, I've received one other tattoo from a desperate artist, and all though I am pleased, I am looking very forward to having Crissie jazz it up as only she can do, she makes the experience pleasant and homey, she insures there is no room for error, and always reacts precision in her work, down the the last star, I will not go anywhere else to get another tattoo and treasure the day I found such an outstanding, professional artist, with the soul intent to ensure my tattoos are perfected to the T. highly recommend her to any one for any tattoo.

I am not one to complain, but I had an awful experience here. I had gotten a tattoo at a different place and went in to true grit to see about getting a touch up. I told the shorter woman with short, white hair at the desk that I was wondering if they could possibly do a touch up on a very small tattoo I had gotten on my foot. She replied with, "first of all, it's not "y'all" it's just me." She was immediately rude and continued to be. She went on to tell me that she would have never put a tattoo there in the first place and that it was a bad idea. She told me how she would fix my "mistake." I will never step foot inside True Grit again and would certainly never recommended it. A tattoo is personal to the person and should be a fun experience. That woman simply does not get it.

Crissie takes the time to discuss your tattoo with you and she makes sure that what you want is going to be beautiful for years. She is probably the best tattoo artist in the area. Her shop is immaculate. If you get a tattoo anywhere else, you're probably going to be talking to her about fixing it sometime in the future so save yourself some money and talk to her first.
