I was in town for the weekend and wanted a tat. I called and the gentleman that answered the phone said walk ins welcome, so needless to say I had to check out the oldest continuous running shop in the state. I walked in and it was such a cool vibe and it was clean! I walked over and I met with Chopper who sat down and took his time to draw up what I wanted. He took he time and was honestly quite a perfectionist, which I was extremely happy about because my tat come out so beautifully. The shading and lines came out SUPER CRISP on my darker skin. I was so glad to support a local long running black business. If your ever in the Nola and want a real amazing tattoo check out Aart! I can’t wait to go back again soon!

When we walked in and asked if there was any availability for a small tattoo for 2 people we were told yes it would be a 10 minute wait. We ended up waiting for 2 hours for the artist to actually be ready by that point it was 2 am and we were tired and had a flight to catch in a couple hours so we changed our minds and wanted to leave. Jesi (the artist) proceeded to harass my friend via text about how rude it was to back out and because she “works on commission and has a son to support” she made us feel bad for not being comfortable and not being ready for a permanent tattoo even though it took her hours to do 2 drawings. I have multiple tattoos and I’ve never been treated like this before. You should always be able to say no at anytime.

The guy that would be doing the tattoo was a legit dude. He worked the art up for us. The manager Fay is the one that prices and priced it at $500 for us to both get the exact same tattoo. Which was very very small roman numerals. Literally nothing to it. They spring the price on us after making us wait almost two hours to draw it up. Get a firm price before you wait here. She was obviously trolling us for money. Half GRAND!!! For some roman numerals!

So, My wife and I were down in New Orleans for my birthday and I'd decided that for my birthday I would get myself a new tattoo and low and behold this establishment was opposite our hotel (would you believe). After reading a few Google reviews, I knew that THIS was the place! On walking in we met Chopper Pete, who was without doubt one of the most professional, straight up likeable dudes I've ever met.. And he also did a killer tattoo on me AND reworked an old too!! The next day my wife was (who had a tattoo booked) was let down and Pete came to the rescue and did the most beautiful custom design of a lotus flower. Soooo big thanks to Chopper Pete and all the staff, you guys rock!

My daughter, her friend, and I all walked in to get some tattoos while on vacation. I was nervous about going to a place that allows walk-ins and straying from my usual artist, but felt relieved once inside and greeted by Scott. Everyone there was extremely friendly and had us laughing from the moment we walked in. My daughter’s friend had a VERY tight budget with a very specific request for her first tattoo and Steven offered to take care of her so she wouldn’t have to compromise and get something different. He also did an amazing job on a dainty chrysanthemum on my daughters ankle. Tag drew up a design of a rooster that FAR surpassed what I had in mind and even incorporated wrought iron and a fleur de lis into the design to make it more special. We were in and out in 2.5 hours. I’m extremely happy I chose to go here and will continue to do so every time I visit New Orleans.

I caught staph infection from there ,, please go somewhere else and they are very expensive,, keep your money, they will tell you that you have a lifetime warranty to repair your tats but then say you should have been come back when it’s a lifetime thing,,,, do not waste your money or time,, you will regret it

Visited New Orleans for my 30th birthday. Live in Austin so I am used to high caliber tattoo work but I wanted to get something while I was here. Asked around town about good studios and everyone that made a recommendation pointed me here. Did not disappoint. Liz discussed the piece with me at length prior to discussing price and showed genuine enthusiasm to come up with something. After that Faye and I negotiated a very fair price. The tattoo itself was skillfully executed and looks great, I am already thinking about coming back next year to have her do another one. Only complaint was the music, y’all need to get those artists some better speakers and a Spotify account! They deserve it. A+

My tattooist (Amber Hall) was wonderful and extremely talented and friendly even close to closing time, AND was willing to come in on her day off if I needed her to. Even though it was my first tattoo she didn't rush me at all and worked with me until I got exactly what I wanted. Everybody there was friendly and made you feel right at home. If you're thinking about getting one here - DO IT; you won't regret it. And ask for Amber Hall - SHE'S GREAT!!! (Update: A few more months will be a year. Still very pleased. Thanks Amber! The woman set the price at $275, for what I calculated would have been about a 45 min piece. Then asked for $200 deposit. When I asked to make an appointment for the next day, they didn't want to make one, they rather me just walk in. Not interested.

Seems like a good place to get tattoos from the reviews but please do not get pierced here. The guy who pierced my nose was going back and forth from handling money at the front to piercing. He didn’t wear gloves and nothing looked particularly sanitary. He didn’t even clean the inside of my nostril after piercing it. At the end he barely explained aftercare and told me to use contact lens solution to clean it which is absolutely not APP recommended. (.9% saline solution ONLY) There was also only one jewelry option. I’m lucky that I know safe piercing aftercare otherwise my piercing would very likely become infected... Staphylococcus aureu lives under the fingernails and no matter clean your hands are, there’s no excuse to not wear gloves near open wounds.

Me and my girlfriend got matching hummingbird tattoos. Hers looks amazing, but missing some color. Mine is not what expected and missing color as well. Seemed a little rushed. "Crash" did our tattoos. They are still pretty nice, and a very good price. We got what we paid for. Still gave 4 stars because they were very accommodating and friendly.

Very over priced shop where the artist have little control. A few of the artist are really good but then again a few of them are mediocre at best. The manager controls every aspect of tattoos. And she doesn't even tattoo. I would not go back. Unless if it was to buy a t-shirt. They do have cool t-shirts. -from a guy with alot of ink.

After having a horrible experience with another tattoo shop in NOLA we had been trying for weeks to set up an appointment with before finally managing to get one (which was then canceled upon us showing up to said appointment), we found Aart Accent Tattoo. They were amazing, professional and willing to create 3 individual fun little voodoo doll tattoos for us on the spot and complete all 3 tattoos on a Monday night. Steve is an amazing artist who went above and beyond to turn our ideas into reality, salvaging the final ending to our NOLA trip in the process. Go here if you're looking for skilled artists and a considerate and professional atmosphere. 10/10 will go back again on my next visit to New Orleans!

I really wanted to love this place and love my tattoo. I just got a small tattoo on my finger and I already have my knuckles done as well as various other hand tattoos so I'm beyond aware of how they heal and how they're supposed to be done... Unfortunately my husband and mine were not done deep enough or done with a thick enough gauge needle and they're both very faded and it's only been 10 days. I don't want to call out this artist by name because he was a great guy and everyone in the shop was beyond nice and I'm all about supporting female owned business so I am not by any means trying to tell you not to go here. however, I would not recommend getting hand tattoos here. Not because they're bad artists but because I think it's a very difficult place on the body to tattoo and I feel that you need to go to someone who is better equipped to do hand tattoos. Half of mine didn't even take and before y'all say "well maybe it's my fault and I knocked the scab off or whatever" it's not... I'm covered in tattoos and so is my husband. I have bad tattoos and great tattoos and this isn't a BAD tattoo. It just wasn't done properly that's all. So $210 later I'm left with a very faded and incomplete tattoo and I'm not even sure if I'd want them to touch it up if they offered... I'll probably just go somewhere else and have them redo it. Now please don't skip over this place because of my experience because I truly believe there are some very skilled artists here and if you're visiting it's right near Louis Armstrong park and it's very convenient. Just make an appointment and make sure your artist is skilled at the style you want. This goes for any place. There are plenty of different artists who probably would have done a great job on this tattoo that work here. It is what it is, mistakes happen and it's all good. Live and learn right? But please don't take this as me bashing the shop. Some people just don't know how to do certain tattoos in certain places and that's fine. But those artists shouldn't take your money and tell you they can do it if they can't. That's all I'm saying.
