Went to Classic 13 with 3 dear friends for a simple, yet meaningful tattoo. Called and was greeted by a friendly, helpful voice who encouraged us to come in! We arrived at the shop and it was bright, clean and everyone was friendly. The atmosphere was very welcoming and they got our art printed and processed quickly. John Mihelic did a great job, not only on my new tattoo, but he touched up an old tattoo for me and made it look great again! Would highly recommend Classic 13!

Emailed and thought we had set up a time. Drove 4 hours from Ga and encountered a rude reception that told us we would have to wait another 4+ hours, while she waited on other walk in's. We had another customer with us and the reception cold walked off from her. IN basic we were in the shop for 45 min waiting and got the side eye cold shoulder. Blonde girl with the gages and attitude WE GET IT. I hope you find peace in your life and thanks for making my mixed daughter feel like the 1930 era.

Got my second tattoo here, and it was WAY more professional than my first tattoo experience at another shop in BHAM! Great staff and very nice environment. Marcos has the hands of an angel! I got a rib tattoo, which are notoriously painful, but he was great at helping me manage the pain. Very happy with final results, as well.

He was very patient and informative. The first time I went in for a "consult," left with a small word on my arm that I had been wanting and an appointment/design for the larger feather on my back. Marcos was incredibly professional, attentive to my questions and concerns, and finished the piece quicker than I thought! While Marcos was drawing my feather, Spike answered all my stupid questions about oral piercings without making me feel stupid haha. Everyone was really easy to talk to and gave great advice. I will definitely be coming back to Classic 13. Each artist has a unique and awesome style, so I will be having other artists design some of the pieces I have in mind for the future.

They have a lot of unknown policies FYI and honestly they’re pretty rude. I got turned away tonight and was told because I wasn’t heavily tattooed I couldn’t get the finger tattoo I wanted. They also told me it would fade, which I’m fine with I don’t really care, and still turned me away. Huge waste of my time and lady had an attitude the whole time.

Me and my friend went in to get an industrial piercing we were told we couldn’t get it because the way our ears were shaped and if we did then we have continuous pain which was cool we understood that but as we went on to try to understand why the man at the front desk had slightly an attitude and the woman and man at the desk were slightly not friendly at all. We came to the shop because we heard great things about it but it felt as if our presence was not welcome and for that I will not be back.

I got my tongue pierced today by Spike. I had called a few days before to check pricing and store hours. When I got there I met Spike at the entrance and he was really cool and said he was one of the only piercers around that didn't use clamps. The atmosphere was really nice and clean. I was waiting on a friend to meet me there and Spike was really patient with me. Once it was all over he made sure I was okay and didn't want me to leave without feeling stable. I will definitely be coming back!

I came here for a venom tongue piercing and had Spike as my piercer. He was patient, personable, and gentle and put up with my arbitrary small talk about how long he'd been in the industry, what was the worst part about tongue piercings etc. 100%, 12/10 would (and probably will) come back.

I came here in March for the first time, I had went out to eat with a friend and I was like "hey, you wanna walk over to that tattoo shop and get piercings?" at like 9 or 10 pm. I don't even have my ear lobes pierced--never cared to get them done--but I decided I'd get my nose done. Spike did the piercing and made sure to sterilize everything there in front of me, which I appreciated. He cracked a lot of jokes and was just a super cool dude, and I didn't feel the piercing at all. He gave me an instruction/aftercare sheet along with all of their social media info. The experience was all really professional. Went back on April 13th for their last Friday the 13th special at that location and got a tree silhouette tattooed by I think Brittany. It was busy but I literally only had to wait for like 45 minutes, which was great for me. Really nice and again a good, professional, clean experience. I've met all the artists in the shop and I'd trust any of them to do future work on me.

Can’t recommend this place enough. I looked at reviews of several different places before deciding to come here for a nose piercing and I’m so glad I did. Spike handled everything for me. He was so professional, knowledgeable, and put me at ease right away. I was bracing for some pain but it honestly hurt way less than I expected. It was so quick and it was obvious that Spike knows what he’s doing. Place is very clean and smells great. Very pleasant experience, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Got my nose piercing done here for the first time here, and I thought everything went smoothly until a few days passed. My nose started bleeding nonstop til the blood started piling up over the jewelry. The ring was not in there correctly, it was slanted instead of being flat down in my nose. The piercing had hit a blood vessel which caused my nose to swell up like yeast. I can't even get my money back from them! I'm furious!!!

Amazing place! My nose piercing was only $40 and already came with one of the best metals you could use for a piercing. The piercing process was so smooth, so quick, so easy, it barely hurt. In YouTube videos, I saw it took so incredibly long for nose piercings and it involved multiple steps and exchanges, but here, it was all one fluid motion! Great place. Highly recommend it.

so I literally never review anything but I just decided to because the service here is just so great. I’ve gotten a tattoo and nose piercing here before and they both came out seamlessly and they made sure to make it as painless as possible. I (stupidly) got my nipples pierced somewhere else and after a week I realized something was wrong because it hurt so bad and went here. Spike did a fantastic job of changing my piercings (because the bars of my old piercings were too short - hence the pain) and gave me a lot of useful information. I definitely learned my lesson and won’t go anywhere else.

They were super friendly and you could tell it was clean. I went in to get my first tattoo on Saturday and Luke was my artist. I was extremely nervous and he put me at ease. He was light handed and I would say the pain level was a 2.5/10. He was easygoing and just all around an awesome artist. I would recommend this establishment a thousand times.

Spike is phenomenal. Went to get a VCH piercing yesterday. It was quick and easy. Spike was very helpful with answering my questions regarding aftercare. He gave more information than other piercers have in the past. He also offered to help me change my piercing and teach me how to properly change it once it has healed. If you are looking for a VCH or any other body piercing in the Bham area, please go to see Spike at classic 13. However, some of the tattoo artist a bit rude. You may not have a place to sit if they are busy. Overall, the appearance of the shop is nice and the piercer is dope.

I've gotten 8 or 9 pieces from Brittany in the past few years, and plan on many more. She feels like a good friend whenever I go to see her, and is always willing to make any changes to designs to make them fit better to once I'm thinking. My husband has also been tattooed by Brittany twice, as well as 2 pieces by Marcos, who has done a phenomenal job on his leg tattoos. Can't wait to get more from them soon. It feels like hanging out with the coolest family when you're at Classic 13. Brian and John are always friendly and stop by to say hi when you are getting work done. We will be getting pieces from them one day as well. Love these guys!

Honestly worst experience I’ve ever recieved at a tattoo parlor. I have a service animal for my type 1 diabetes, and I was told I had to leave because my service dog was not allowed in the facility because I didn’t have her “papers”. I tried to explain to them that i didn’t need her papers with me because, under ADA law, I wasn’t required to proved proof of her. I also told them that they couldn’t ask me to leave, because even if she breaks health department rules, the ADA overrules them and she can’t harm the facility under the health department. The man that spoke to me continued to be rude and still refused to let me stay so I had to have my friend walk out with her so I could get my tattoo priced. It was a complete disregard of national law and it was insulting to me. After that, they outrageously priced my tattoo, pricing it 70 dollars more than anywhere I’ve had it priced. My friend came back later and had the same tattoo priced for 50 dollars less than they priced mine. It’s ridiculous how rude they were and how just disregarding of me and the national rules. I will never go back there again. My blood sugar could easily bottom out to a level where I pass out right there on the tattoo table, and my dog could alert me to that before I realized it. It’s inhumane and just rude. Don’t go there.

These artists are well rounded and nothing short of superhuman. The shop is clean and inviting. Walking in, I felt secure. Getting work done, I felt safe. great place! Went as a walk in for a consultation and ended up getting the tats I wanted in an hour and a half! All of the guys there are friendly and personable and the pricing I was given for my tats was reasonable. the artist that did my tattoos was Jeff, and upon first encounter he seemed a little rough around the edges, but he was really nice and really sarcastic, which I can always appreciate. i felt a little intimidated about being picky, but no one harassed me on it and he seemed very understanding and didn't try to rush me. I payed to have my artwork worked up the man John asked me to come back at 5:00 on Wednesday i payed $50 to have it worked up and was waiting to get the art put on so i called Tuesday to make sure it was going well and to get a picture of what he had drawn up. he was busy and was going to get on it soon showed up to get the tattoo and he said he still needed to work up the art wait 30 min and he came out and said he couldnt do it didnt have time could i come back another day im from out of state gave this guy 5 days to get things worked up and on my body he wasted my time to get the art i wanted and my ability to have time to get what i wanted done not happy at all very unprofessional would want to ever have this happen to anyone else really a lot of time wasted and BS

I really enjoyed my visit! My tattoo artist was John. This was my first tattoo but the place is very clean and organized. John was super sweet and talked me through the experience which calmed me down! I highly recommend going and I will definitely be back to get more work done someday. The artists are very nice and are willing to work with you to make small adjustments if you want which goes to show how much these artists care about their clients and tattoos! Wonderful customer service and quality work is what you want and is what you will find here!

The ball unscrewed on my diath piercing and I am from out of town and cannot get to my piercer. Tried another shop in town who would not help me nor suggest who might. Took 30 seconds to screw the ball back on, easy peasy no charge. Would definitely recommend them to someone else!
