Anna was wonderful. I had an emergency of sorts w/ a student’s favorite jacket. The armpits somehow ripped out. He was devastated. I had no idea where to take it, so I got on thumbtack and got a quote from her in 5 minutes, and it was around 8 pm. I told her the situation and she was able, on top of all her other jobs, to get this jacket done by Friday (I dropped it off on Wednesday)! She fixed it like new for a fantastic price. On top of THAT, I missed the p/u time, and she actually had her husband go to the shop after hours so I could have it back to the student on Monday! Love. Love. Love. Highly recommend!

I've never gotten anything altered before (especially not a fancy bridesmaids dress) but after taking it to Anna's I was so relieved. She knew exactly what needed to be done and she reassured me that everything would be just fine. I told her that I had no idea what I was doing and she smiled and said she would take care of it. When I picked it up, it was PERFECT! And she steamed it for me too! I'm so glad that I went to Anna. I will definitely be visiting again if I need anything altered.

Anna is WONDERFUL. She offers excellent quality at a much better price than other businesses in the area. I bought my wedding dress during a Sample Sale and it needed a lot of work. It had rips/tears, a dirty hemline, a million layers of tulle (much of it ripped), etc. It was a mess. She had to fix rips, shorten sleeves, cover holes, repair layers of the tulle and shorten it to be my height. She fixed EVERYTHING in a reasonable time and for an excellent price! She even went above and beyond and had it cleaned. I honestly cannot thank Anna enough for taking a dress that would have been difficult enough to alter brand new, and turning it into something beautiful! I will recommend her to anyone who is looking for an affordable, skilled seamstress who goes above and beyond in her work. I called Anna because I tried my bridesmaid's dress on again for a wedding next weekend!! I absolutely panicked when the straps were too long. She told me to bring the dress in so she could take look. When I got there, Anna greeted me right away and made me feel very comfortable. I tried on the dress for her and it turned out my dress had little "loops" that you can attach to your bra to keep the dress up. Instead of charging me $45 to shorten the straps (which most other places would do) she saved me by pointing out this VERY simple fix that I was not aware of beforehand. I HIGHLY recommend her for anyone who needs alterations on anything... She is the nicest person and really goes the extra mile for her customers. Thanks again Anna!!!

If you need any tailoring or alterations this is where you should go. Anna is relaxed and friendly to deal with, but she absolutely knows her stuff. When fitting my wife for a bridesmaid's dress she asked all of the right questions and got it marked quickly. She also answered a few questions and provided some useful advice. It was a pleasant and productive experience. So far the results have been perfect. Getting the work done takes a while, but she tells you up front when it will be done and has delivered on that. You get no problems, no surprises, no stress, and very reasonable prices.

A hidden jewel on the west side of Madison! We needed last minute alterations to a dress for a wedding. Anna cheerfully fit them in with a day's notice and she fixed a run in a pair of men's dress pants (for free!) while the dress was being tried on. And she's hilarious and friendly to boot.

My bridesmaids dress was too tight in the waist and I was unable to zip up the back all the way. I brought it in to another tailor who let it out 3/4” and told me nothing more could be done.
