I had a wonderful experience with this shop with altering my wedding dress! Had 2 appointments - 1 to take a look and the second (and last) to review the results. She was very professional and nice to work with! I would definitely recommend her for any alterations you need!

I had my Wedding dress altered there and a 3-point bustle put on. This last Saturday was my wedding and after dinner I was ready to put my bustle up, so I did then sat for a little and walked around. 10 min later one of the buttons broke so my train started to fall, then by 20 min the next two broke! 20 min! I had to have safety pins hold it up when I paid over $75 for her to do the bustle! I called and asked for a refund because it obviously did not hold up at all! She refused and would not do anything about it! So disappointed! Now In my wedding pictures the back of my dress will have saftey pins holding it up....will not recommend to anyone!

My friend recently wanted to get her Prom dress fixed, and they WOULDN'T take her dress. Want to know why? Because it smelled like smoke. She could not help that it smelled like this, her parents smoke...she does not. It not only hurt her feelings but the lady was VERY rude about it. The service here is HORRIBLE, they are all very rude. I would not even step into this place...they probably will yell at you for ANYTHING...even looking at there FAKE products. All the reviews that say 5 stars are fake.

We recently went here for alterations on multiple clothing items for my daughter"s wedding. Lori is very friendly and professional. Her work is beautiful, very well done, and reasonably priced. Both my daughter's bridal dress and my dress are perfect. My daughter's dress involved removing an all over embroidered design, taking in the dress, and replacing the embroidery . As I said, absolutely perfect! She also did a great job on my other daughter's bridesmaid's dress and two small tuxedos for the ring bearers. I highly recommend her and will return next year with anything needing alterations for my son's wedding.

My mom and I have both used Alterations and Fine Tailoring and we will both be back. Items were returned on time, on budget, and the work done met or exceeded all expectations (and our expectations are high). The staff is friendly and helpful and the shop is adorable. Cannot recommend enough.

Nice enough lady but the alteration was horrible. One halter strap was ripped. The dress is EXTREMELY tight. I never even asked for it to be tight and I did not gain any weight within the week it took to alter. I am trying to get it fixed before the wedding. Also, the dress was not streamed or anything when I picked it up. Would not recommend.

Lori did alterations on my wedding dress and I couldn't have been more satisfied. In a matter of weeks she was able to put a corset in(I eat when I'm stressed :)) and shorten my veil ( I was not well versed in veil lingo). She was great to work with and very accommodating. I will definitely recommend her to everyone!

Lori did my wedding dress and was so wonderful to work with! I was nervous about bustling the dress, but the bustle Lori put together is so beautiful! I bought my dress off the rack, so some of the beading was loose and there was a small hole in the top-most layer of the dress. Lori fixed everything so beautifully you can't even tell! My wedding is in June and I am so excited to put my dress on for the big day! I recommended 2 of my bridesmaids to use her too, and I'd recommend her to anyone else! I will definitely use her in the future!

Lori designed and created a heirloom baby blanket for my new Granddaughter with fabric, lace and buttons from my wedding gown. The blanket turned out just beautiful and I was so happy with the result. It was the hit of the baby shower!

Poor Business practices! My wife brought in my daughter's prom dress in mid-March. She was quoted $49 for "easy" alterations and told it would be ready April 22nd. My wife called her yesterday 4/26. She told my wife that the dress hadn't been started yet that it was the second in the rack to be done. My wife told her I was coming in tonight 4/26 to pick it up. My wife was told that wouldn't be a problem and it would be ready by 6. I went in with my daughter around 6:10, she tried on the dress and noticed she was being poked in her back. Low and behold the pins were still in the dress! Only the alteration on the bottom of the dress was completed. The Owner apologized and said it would be completed that evening for pick up tomorrow, fine. Then the best Part; She says she has to charge us additional for the work she did not complete! She refused to honor the price she gave to my wife. I asked if she cared about losing future business with us and she said " I assume I already have". I explained not if she did the work promised at the price given... She animatedly refused. I paid the $49 and got the uncompleted dress back. I'm extremely disappointed, the owner should be ashamed.

My husband and I had a phenomenal experience! I would highly recommend her services! My husband had to travel for business and needed last minute alterations done and they were completed quickly and wonderfully! I would highly recommend her to anyone and will be going back.

Lori altered MANY outfits for me when I was hurriedly leaving for a trip. She explained that there would be a small additional charge as I was asking for things to be done earlier than her normal time frame. I was more than happy to pay the additional cost! Everything was beautifully altered and fit perfectly! When I was trying on the many items she worked with me to help put outfits together. I would highly recommend taking things to her! Paulette

Amazing Service! We came to Lori with an emergency hemming to a new pair of suit trousers. My husband was leaving for an extended trip and really needed those pants! Lori listened to our situation and managed to find the time to hem the the trousers overnight so that they were ready for his trip. We could not have asked for a better experience. Perfectly hemmed and pressed! Lori has gained a customer for life!

Love love love this place! Lori was fantastic and personable! I needed someone to take some of my favorite clothes and make them smaller to fit better. She was super helpful in telling me what was worth it and what wasn't so that I didn't spend more than I needed to. Their prices were reasonable too. I couldn't have been happier with the results and wouldn't go to anyone else. They are so good at what they do that I am always recommending them to my friends. Not mention she offered me great advice on where to find a good hat for my husband for the Kentucky Derby. When we told the place who sent us they had nothing but great things to say about Lori and her company. Definitely a local business worth supporting!

Horrible customer service! Owner seems to decide as you walk in if she wants you as a customer or not. It's hard to say if she was having a bad day and directed it outwardly or if this is truly her way of doing business because she didn't seem to care how she sounded or if she keeps your business. Another customer seemed surprised that her altered garment was not pressed. The owner's reply was " I don't do laundry!" As that customer was explaining her expectation of a finished piece ...she yelled out "Stop!", "Don't touch that!" (I left my 5 year old at home today so I didn't know why she was speaking in that manner and wondered is that really directed at me?) Why yes, it was! Because when I asked, she repeated it a second time in the same way! (As if, I didn't hear her the first time) I can only assume she didn't want me touching the dress for sale, for $14.99, in the window, nor did she want me moving it off the display to try it on - but she could not explain herself appropriately only to rudely interrupt the other customer to rudely shout out toddler commands at a middle--aged woman trying to buy a dress. I can appreciate if you would like me to stop, however, there are many other ways I can think of that say the same thing without the complete lack of disrespect and plain rudeness. In the future, something like this, goes a long way and allows opportunities for repeat business. "My displays are very delicate I'd prefer to get the dress off for you. I'll be with you in a minute." "Please" or "You can just leave it right there" , and/or "Thanks" . I owned a similar dress mannequin and take pride in handling items very carefully - I can assure you that everything was okay, nothing was being harmed or ruined and that the response didn't match what was transpiring. In the future, it also helps to greet customers as they walk in with a little "Hello", or "Hi". As they approach your counter it helps to take the personal call on your cell after the customer has been helped. Sounding annoyed that you can't speak to your family member because you have to help a customer is off putting since I was your only customer at the time during your open business hours. The overall impression that was received is that this is an unhappy business owner, that no longer likes what she's doing, and the quicker she can get rid of a customer the better for her. (That's a first in the Lake Country area!)

Lori is sweet,welcoming and down to earth. She completed my dress in the time frame that she had initially told me it would be completed. She’s responsible for my being comfortable, stylish and able to dance the night away. My dress never moved. It never had to be be “hitched up” or twisted around. I would recommend her to anyone. Lori does beautiful work! Hemmed a 3 layer chiffon bridesmaid dress (which is VERY difficult to do (I do some sewing myself, so am qualified to make this statement.) Work was excellent, timely and reasonably priced. Lori was great to work with too!
