I had an absolutely horrible experience at Mari's. She and her staff were extremely rude to me, claimed that they completed alterations that they obviously had not done, and expressly told me that she could care less about my time or my satisfaction with her services. I must say that my experience at Mari's was one of the worst that I have ever had.

Had something simple, hemming done on one side of my pants only, since the threads loosened up. Normally every alternations place charges for both sides regardless, typically between $9 to $23 per pants. She only charged me $5 and fixed it right away.

WARNING!! This place is just a joke. I needed my dress to be altered and gave it to them 10 days ago, it had to be ready to pick up today. When I went there at 12 pm they told me it's not ready and come back at 3. I came at 3 just to find out she just started to work on it.. I paid her 230 USD which she requested to be in cash (very shady). She took my money in advance but didn't want to work on it and she said it's gonna take her a whole day to alter it that's why it costs so much but in reality she started working on it at the time it was supposed to be ready. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional business. They overcharged me but I didn't care as long as it would be done correctly on time since this is an important event for me. But this place just failed me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND them, this is just scam.

I brought 96" Pottery Barn silk curtains here to have them hemmed, and also needed the defective curtain hook loops fixed. The manufacturer had stitched the trim over the row of hooks, so that they were not usable. They completely redid the hooks so that the drapes could be hung correctly, and the hem job was perfect. I've also had them do a few other clothing items, and have never had any problems with either the alteration, or with the customer service.

Mari is the only seamstress that knows how to hem my pants without leaving the appearance of being hemmed. She also has fixed hats, ripped jeans, tailored coats and shirts for me. They are busy but worth it.

This gal always seems to misplace or forget to hem our clothing. It's always, "please wait ten minutes". Hopeless. Very disorganized and never completes her work on time.

HORRIBLE!!!!! I left a jacket for arms to be shortened. Mari said it would be ready in 8 days on a Friday. It wasn't ready on Friday. She said it was going to be ready the next day but it wasn't ready again. She again said it will be ready the following day and but jacket wasn't ready the third time either. She literally jerked me around for 3 days. It took 4 tries and my weekend was ruined.

I've been bringing clothes to Mari for about 7 or 8 years. She's always done a fantastic job. She's even made replacement cushions for my couch. She altered a men's suit for us, jackets that need to be taken in- even this sheepskin coat I bought online that turned out to be a jillion sizes bigger than medium and Mari had to take apart the whole thing and fix it for me. Her work is great. She does sometimes run a bit late as they sometimes get a huge influx of business- so it's best to double check with them before picking up an item.

Wow, I also had a really bad experience at this store. I had to go back at least 3 times because she hadn't completed her tailoring by the date on which she promised. I agree with the other reviewer that they were quite unprofessional.
