My family and I have been taking our garments to Lani's for over 7 years. It's always a pleasure to see Kim and Dora and receive exceptional service. Kim and her staff recently did the alterations on my daughter's sweet 16 gown and her work as always exceeded our expectations. You can probably find other tailors in the area with cheaper prices but the service and attention to detail you get at Lani's will be unmatched. It's hard to think about the cost when you get such a high level of professionalism. After Kim finishes your alterations it looks like it's direct from the designer. Lani's has been working on my clothes for the past couple of years and the quality of work is what you pay for. Everything that has been worked on in those two years has been quality with a outstanding finish as well as longevity in the work meaning nothing has had to be re-worked on. Also the customer service is class act as they create small talk actually caring for you with honesty about what direction you should go with whatever article of clothing your bringing in! Wedding dress alteration quote went from $200-300 to $1200-1500 by the end of the 5 minute consultation. Hmmmm... not sure why it went up so much. I almost felt that was one way to communicate that they rather not bother. I guess the parting gift was a wedding magazine and a business card. Thanks.

Took my father's vintage levi Jean Jacket in to alter the sleeves. Did a fantastic job, quality stitching and looks original. The cost was a bit more but worth the price. They were professional and really seemed to care about the quality of work.

I cannot speak highly enough about Lani's Tailor. They completed my bridal gown alterations and from the very beginning they were so kind, professional and it was evident that they are incredible at what they do! I brought in a dress I had bought off the rack, which was around a size 10. I'm a size 0-2. So that should give you some idea of the skill it took to make it look like a dress that would even stay on me let alone what they ACTUALLY did, which was make the dress look like it was DRAWN on me. Seriously, by the end it was like it was specifically made FOR my body. On TOP of all of this, I was living in NY at the time and moving to WA about two weeks before the wedding. So I had them do the measuring/alterations/fitting when I was out visiting WA a few months before the wedding. After they had done the final fitting, I was looking at pictures of myself in the dress (which was so well done) and there were a couple of changes that I decided I wanted made that I didn't know I wanted until I was looking at those pictures! I called them in a panic and asked if they would be willing and able to do the last minute alterations (again, which they had about 9 days to do on a very complicated wedding dress ON TOP of all the other alterations they had!!) and Kim was so amazing and agreed to do them for me. Dora was such a sweet heart through the whole process and she made sure she got all the right measurements and that I had the fit that I wanted for the dress. She was very upfront about the price, which can definitely be a shock. I'll be honest, I paid more for the alterations than the actual wedding dress. But if I could go back I wouldn't go with anyone else. They did an absolutely amazing job and they certainly have my business for life!

Our whole family uses this Tailor. We have always had excellent work done here. The staff is always very professional and approachable. Why go anywhere else when everything comes back well done. I have never been asked to pay in advance, ever, and I have used this tailor for over 15 years. Formal attire to casual attire.

Way over-priced!! They charge $65/hr. My wife took a dress in and they quoted $145 to hem it. When I asked why it was so much they said "It's a stretchy material and hard to cut, which is why quoted 2.5 hours". I asked whether it would actually take them 2.5 hours and they admitted no, saying "we're very experienced". Don't charge $65/hr for being experienced, then bill for 2.5 hours of work because that's how long it would take a novice to do it. Novices don't get to charge $65/hr.

Absolutely awesome experience with Lani's Tailor! I came to them with a bridesmaid dress that was too small, freaking out that I would have to add fabric to the dress or buy a whole new dress. The crux, I was leaving for the wedding in less than two weeks. Not only did the dress fit PERFECTLY when I tried it on after they let it out a few inches, they finished the dress 4 DAYS ahead of what they quoted me. They also didn't charge me the rush fee since I was a first time customer, which was so sweet of them. I even tried to get them to let me pay for the rush fee since they did such a good job, and they wouldn't let me. Such wonderful people and such quality work. 10/10 - Highly recommend!

Prior to visiting Lani's I had never owned a suit. Then I decided to get married, this suit would be the most important suit I ever put on. Of course I waited until the last minute to sort this out as well. I was nervous about the process having not been to a tailor before and wanted it to turn out perfectly. Shortly after I walked in, I got the impression I was in good hands. The staff had a calming effect as we discussed the fit and they eased my concerns about the turn around time. They were a pleasure to work with and made the process a breeze. I would highly recommend having even your most important garments tailored here.

I bought a dress at Saks in my regular size on final sale. I paid $175 for a $900 dress but it turned out it was a size too big and the only way to wear it was to get it tailored. I am no stranger to tailoring and embroidering but I just wanted to pay to have it done. After reading the reviews, I knew Lani’s would do a great job but it would be expensive. I was expecting to pay $100-$200 because the dress was covered in appliques and there was boning that had to be dealt with. She asked about the dress and scoffed that the tailoring was going to be a lot more than what I paid for the dress. She quoted me $495 and not a penny less, -her words. First of all, my expectation of $100-$200 was 2x more than I valued the work that needed to be done. I laughed at her quote and disregarded everything she said after that point. I have no doubt that they do quality work but they will never have any of my business. I took my dress home that night, got work done, and did it myself over the weekend. Not only does my dress fit me and look brand new, but I also still have $490 in my wallet. (I had to pay $5 at JoAnn’s to get thread that matched) The 1 star is for the feeling I got talking to her. I felt like she was lying to me and had the attitude of the first sales lady on Rodeo Drive from Pretty Woman.

Lani is a very nice lady and helped me out with a stuck zipper in my jacket. With kindness and finesse, she repaired it in a jiffy. I am definitely a fan of hers. She is extremely talented and has seen it all!
