John really knows how to tailor suits from Isaia to Stafford, wool to cotton. The shop is professional, clean and the customer service is stellar. I strive to put young student veterans into suits for job interviews and John supports all of our requests in a timely manner. He can meet some very demanding schedules. A very cost effective alternative to other not so local shops.

Piece of advice: STAY AWAY. I came here to get the top part of a dress taken in. Tried it on, they pinned it then gave me a ticket but never told me my total. Said it should be around $25. A couple days later I came back and it was $45! For a $50 dress! That should have been my first red flag but the place is so conveniently located. Just last week, I needed a dress hemmed and the straps taken in. They tell me it’s $70 FOR BOTH. Again, I only paid $80 for the dress. I told them forget about the straps and just do the hem but it didn’t sit right with me. The next day I tell Chong I’d like to get other estimates around the area and he fights me on this. I tell him it’s ridiculous to pay $70 for an $80 dress and he says it doesn’t matter if the dress is $80 or $1000 that’s how much he charges. So I said fine I will be taking my dress elsewhere and he tells me that the quality will probably be off. I found Lois from I Love to Sew and she hemmed and took the straps in on my dress for $30 total and was done 4 days earlier than Chong said he would have. DO NOT GO HERE. HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY WND OVERCHARGE YOU FOR EASY WORK!

Fantastic quality work! My family has been taking pieces to Chong's to repair for years, and we've always had a great experience. I once had a leather jacket with a deteriorating interior lining, which he completely remade, and it came to only around $100! I've even taken him a Dior purse with a fraying fabric strap, and he did such a good job fixing it up, you can't hardly tell it had to be repaired. Over the years I've taken him countless sweaters (wool, cashmere, etc.) with minor holes to repair, and he has always done a great job, at a stellar price. If you're looking for a quality tailor, I would highly recommend Chong's.

I never do reviews, but heres my story. i needed an outfit tailored for a last min date. Pants hemmed and shirt sleeves done. i took my clothes to him at about noon and by 3p.m. this guy nailed it and i made it to Yakima in time and the gal was looking great & so was I Thanks to this man chong!
