I will never take clothes here again. I took in three dresses to be altered and took care to explain exactly what I wanted. When I picked them up they were so tightly fitted to my body that I struggled to get them on and off. I paid a lot of money and now my clothes are unwearable. To top it off, the owner was really rude. I recommend finding a tailor who will listen to their customers.

They were quick and inexpensive but will never go there again. I needed my mother of the bride dress to be taken in. I was in a hurry as we were heading out of town for my daughter's wedding so I didn't try it on until we got to our destination. They had put a plastic bag over it and when I removed the bag the stench of fish was so overwhelming I had to put the bag back on. It was a brand new dress when I brought it there and I do not eat fish so it had to come from there. I can't imagine why you would eat fish around other people's clothing. I took it to a dry cleaner but because it had some embellishments they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't get ruined (like it wasn't already ruined). I ended up washing it myself on delicate and let it air dry. The fish smell was gone but the dress was still too big. My fault for going with the cheapest and not trying on when I picked it up.

I went to them and asked them to take a name tag off of one military shirt and then take a name tag off of another military shirt so that name tag could be put on the previous shirt. So they took the name tag off the first shirt, but didn't didn't put it on the other one. So now the shirt I need doesn't have a name tag and that's what I paid them for. My boyfriend picked it up so he didn't know. So now I'm without a shirt for work because they couldn't follow simple directions.

I ripped my boxing glove straps while at workouts. I looked up tailoring close to my house and this was the first to pop up. If you are looking for it, it is on the same side as Panera facing Walmart and not PETCO (maybe you can't read directions like me, but I was confused lol). I literally walked in 30 minutes before closing time yesterday and explained what I needed done and they fixed it for me right on the spot! It was a good $4 for a quick fix. Will be back for more quick fixes.

Went in to get a zipper on my jacket fixed, i was in and out in 10 minutes. From observing they do all types of alterations. From hemming pants for golfing, to Prom dresses. Very polite, quick and they know what they are doing.

I have had all my suits done here and my wife has her dresses done here. I have always had the best service imaginable. The courtesy and expertise is by far the finest. It is hard to find good customer service and good workmanship but Manees has it all. I highly recomend this shop for all. It is even worth the drive if you don't live close by the shop.

Men: Take your stuff to Manee as she knows her stuff! She has altered probably 6 pair of dress pants for me. She has done length hemming, regular and cuff and removed extra fabric from the seat of the pants to make the pants less baggy or MC Hammer. She has also done probably 6 suit coats for sleeve length and removal of extra material in the upper back area along with sleeve length adjustments. So if you are a guy and need a great tailor, this is the place in south VA Beach as I've put her through the paces! Remember, a fitted "cheap" suit is better looking than an expensive ill-fitting suit, so always, always, always get tailoring. You can occasionally get pants that fit right, but the jackets almost always need custom work, including the two $XXXX jackets I took to her last week.

First time there was three years ago, I've been going there ever since. They are great for same day alterations for military. Just make sure that you stay there for the ten minutes that it takes so that you can fix any of the mistakes that they make. English isn't their first language with the exception of one person there. When I found a mistake that they made on one of my uniforms (crows facing outwards), they fixed it same day, no charge. Parka liner tabs take them about five minutes and cost about five dollars. This place has been my my go to for last minute inspections and quarters alterations. They don't do dry cleaning, but if your uniform was clean beforehand they won't leave a mark. I tell all my junior personnel to go here too if they've procrastinated.

This is the second time I tried Manee’s. The first time the dress was not altered correctly but wearable. The second time -which lesson learned do NOT give a tailor a second chance- has been awful. I brought a dress into have it altered. When I went to pick it up the seam lines they had put in were so off and didn’t line up so badly I was shocked they even tried to give it back to me!! They seem annoyed that I even asked them to fix it but agreed. I just went to pick it up and one of the seams is STILL way off! And it is very noticeable on the lower back area of the dress. Again how on earth would a tailor who cares about their work try to give that to someone! On top of that they are out of town for the weekend so no one is there to fix it-and the guy manning the store for them was BEYOND rude to me - shockingly rude to me. Rest assured I will never be coming back. I think they are just too busy and promise things too quickly. If you care about how your clothes come out-go somewhere else!!!
