As a military family, we have lived all over Hampton Roads and this is the ONLY place we get our things tailored. For reference, we used to live in Pungo and she was the closest, but now we live on the Smithfield border and we drive the hour to her shop, if that tells you anything about her work. The lady is so nice and prices are reasonable considering she does amazing work! I have gotten dresses hemmed and taken in, a suit tailored to perfection, shorts taken in, my husband's patches sewed on, etc... as long as we're living Virginia, this is the only place we'll go for our tailoring needs.

I usually get good service from here, but this time around the female tailor was rude. I came before the store closed to drop off a dress & she told me to go somewhere else because she was busy even though a sign could have been put on the door before I even walked in. I didn't really know anywhere else to go & when I told her that I needed it the following week, she said she could do it & gave me a time & a price. She told me not to come early because she'd be busy. Got it! The following week comes around & I was told 5pm. I showed up on time & my dress wasn't done. I saw it in the same bag I left it in when I dropped it off. Kinda looked as if she never started it at all. No fault of my own. She said to come back at 6. I trusted that & came back on time. She then rushed me to hurry up even though she told me to come back at this time & try it on & kept telling me she was already running late for something. I didn't even get the chance to fully check out the item she altered. She even suggested that I wear it out of the store because she was running so late to something mind you it's October & it was a dress. I didn't even have it tried on for 5 mins. I took of the dress, paid her, & left immediately. Would have tipped, but she was very rude. Then I got home & the inside of the dress had a piece that needed to be sewn or it would come apart. I had to tie a few knots my self on the inside & cut the string & hope that it held up for my event. She rushed the job. She rushed me out. She charged 70 for something she probably finished in that hour I left & then didn't even make sure I got time to check it out. I had the dress on for approximately 2 and a half minutes if that. Should have taken her advice to go somewhere else, but at the time I knew nowhere else close by to go.
