I have had several items tailored by him. Including a gown for son's wedding. He has done an excellent job. He has always treated me respectfully. Do not believe he treats one differently based on sex. I'm a woman, and I was referred to him by female colleague.

Horrible! I brought in a coat whose zipper kept splitting from the bottom because the metal was bent. When I picked it up I was given a lesson on how to zip a coat and a bill for $20. It split again the first time I wore it 2 hours later. I went back and said that I want a new zipper or my money back. He said I zipped it wrong and said he fixed it. I wonder if it is a women thing since the only positive reviews are from men. I am 36 years old...I think I know how to zip a coat.

Insanely good at what he does. I bought a jcrew linen suit jacket for $30 but it was a size too big. I brought it in and he made it fit perfectly. We are talking sleeve reduction, material off the back and sides, everything. He's not cheap but for the quality you get what you pay for.

I received excellent "next day" service from Ernesto. He completely rebuilt my new suit (which I had purchased at DXL). The Jacket needed work on the neck area and the seat had to be taken in. He did everything perfectly. Ernesto isn't cheap but I don't mind paying for an experienced professional.

Bottom line is this guy is extremely good at what he does. He used to be a custom tailor in Italy before he moved to the US. If you can get past his thick accent and the shoddy look of his facility, you'll find that he does quality work. I got a suit altered by him in 24 hours and the results were fantastic. Here's the breakdown: Width reduction around sides (required sleeve removal) : $110 Waist reduction around pants: $25 Extra fabric off of back between the shoulders: $40 He's not cheap but his prices are fair, especially considering this was basically a rush order. WHEN YOU GO IN BE SURE TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT DONE.

The grumpy old man was rude and obnoxious to my college age daughter. She was in a rush to get a dress hemmed for a wedding and he totally took advantage of her. Charged $100.00, demanded cash and didn't give her a receipt.
