I went and had a jumpsuit let out and zipper was supposed to be fixed. Zipper was never fixed and when I brought it back he told me he couldn’t help me. He was disrespectful and rude. I have used this tailor before but will never go back.

My wife and I recently got work done at Delmar Custom Tailoring for a wedding. The owner Andrew was very knowledgeable about his craft. Very friendly environment. My wife and I would recommend Andrew the tailor to all of our family and friends. Very fair pricing as well. 10/10 service if you need professional work done.

I am not even able to give this establishment a half of a star honestly but it made me at least put one star. I brought in my wedding gown 7 months before my wedding to have Andrew begin alterations, I called numerous times over that 7 months to make sure everything was going well and i was reassured it was. I called the week before i was to come pick up my dress to make sure it would be ready in time for me to grab it and drive the 2 hours to where my wedding was being held and he assured me it would be ready. The day before I was to pick up my dress Andrew said to give him one more day to finish - which i didn't have as i was leaving the following day - I told him its been 7 months i have to get the dress tomorrow. I arrived the following morning (by myself) to pick up and try the dress on one last time and it was as though Andrew hadn't touched it since i dropped it off. There was a giant bald spot where beads should have been, the bra wasn't sewn in, the hem wasn't cut, and the sides weren't tacked down. I spent the whole day in tears sitting in his shop waiting for him to finish the dress - which he didn't really because he didn't sew the bra in or tack down the sides. He was rude and unapologetic the entire time and on top of that he tried to charge me EXTRA because that day i made him rush and only work on my gown. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE.

What a wonderful place. He saved the day And had my daughters school uniform ready on a days notice. He stayed late just to make sure she had her uniform ready for the first day of school.

I’ve been going to delmar custom tailoring for years and the service there is exceptional. Mr. Porter is extremely friendly and very professional. His work is undoubtedly the best in town. I have recommended numerous friends and family to delmar custom tailor and they have all been impressed. The work is phenomenal and I always receive my clothing on time. I would certainly recommend delmar custom tailor to everyone I know.

Don't let the owners accent and appearances fool you. He is an absolute crook! He will make up prices on the spot and, if he can, he will overcharge you. His prices are inconsistent from one customer to the other. He charges what he thinks you will pay and he gets away with it because residents of Bethlehem try to support his local business and only because the atmosphere he created feels more authentic than Best Cleaners. If you call him out on anything he does or even ask for justification on a price, he will tell you to go somewhere else. He does not care about Bethlehem customers like a local tailor should. This business only cares about taking your money. He will charge you for everything, including a tissue if you sneeze. Most residents of Bethlehem choose this business for the wrong reasons. At least Best Cleaners has set prices, everyone pays the same, and, its customer service is actually held accountable for rudeness. It’s unfortunate that this business continues to stay open after so many people have complained about this guy. Check out another persons experience as they wrote a review on Yelp.

I cannot say enough about Andrew's skill as a tailor. While it is true that there are less expensive tailors, there are none better. As someone whose weight has changed significantly over the years, I have brought in everything from dresses and skirts that practically needed to be remade to invisible zippers that needed to be replaced to pants for shortening and more subtle fitting. His work is superb.

Exceptional work done at Delmar Custom Tailors on my wedding dress! I was able to get my dress taken in, shortened, and bustled with far less hassle than I would've at the bridal store. I especially loved my bustle which highlighted all of the accents of my dress. Also, I had no issues with my dress staying up while dancing and walking around all night. I received so many compliments on the fit! Super pleased!

My daughter had to get a prom gown altered. David's Bridal, where she bought it, was going to charge $60 and neither of us especially loved the ambiance, plus we live in Gkenmont, so we wanted to avoid the hassle of multiple trips to Colonie. Andrew was super-friendly, did the job for $50, and it was done well and on time.

I recently got married. My tux did not need any work so my personal outfit was not tailored here. But all 8 yes eight of my groomsmen came here to get their tailoring done. First and foremost they all raved about how they were treated like family. The prices were very reasonable. My guys looked phenomenal. A week later I am still getting complements on how amazing we all looked. The ring bearers and our fathers rented from elsewhere and when they picked up their suits they had to leave them at the place as the alterations were off but at Delmar Custom Tailor all of my guys fittings were right the first time. If I ever need any tailoring Delmar Custom Tailor is where I’ll be going.

I'm new to the area and had to find a tailor relatively quickly as the wedding I was part of was in 3 weeks. I brought my bridesmaid's dress with 2 layers of cloth in to this store to be hemmed and have cups sewn in. AFTER being measured and what not, I was told I would have to go out and buy the cups myself ($10) and bring them back in order for him to sew them in. I've never had to do this at any other tailor I have been to. I was quoted $75 which I thought to be extremely expensive but because I was short on time I accepted. After leaving, I called my sister who was in the same wedding with the same dress to ask her about her alterations. She paid about half the price ($40) for her alterations. When I brought the cups in, I asked about the steep price and the justification I received was, "I've been doing this for 19 years, I know what to do." I mentioned the price difference between my sister's alterations and got the first response repeated at me. When I picked up the finished dress, I was charged $85 so with the cost of the cups, I paid about $100! Over half of the dress' price - just for a hem! I do NOT suggest going to this location for any type of alterations. I certainly will NOT be back.

Our family has been going to Andrew for tailoring and cleaning for many years now. His alterations for my son's uniforms were always perfect and Andrew was responsive and timely. He has a great disposition and it is always a pleasure to enter his shop. We have followed him over the years from Delmar to Glenmont and have always been pleased with his work.

They stopped offering hot water in the washers but they still charge the same amount. They also don't tell people. I have left comments several times that you should clearly Mark your machines but they don't care they don't even clean the place in the last 2 months. I live in Albany and I passed several laundromats to get to this one because they always had good hot water and a clean place but it's gone downhill fast. Don't go here. People steal your clothes if you don't watch them in the dryers. Actually walked in on a guy wearing my sweatshirt. He swore he got it in the lost and found pile. If given the choice I would probably just keep my clothes dirty.
