The moment I walked in the door I was greeted, offered a drink and a comfortable place to sit to go over the entire process very quickly before going into details. This included showing exact costs based upon how much you wanted to spend. During the customization of the suit you will go into every detail of the entire suit including color of buttons and size, collar, inside fabric, outside fabric, number of pockets, number of buttons, canvas is wanted, inside lettering customization, type of jacket, lapels, and everything you can think of. They will measure you for about 5-10 minutes for exact dimensions of body. Also make sure they know where your planning on wearing the suit and if you want to wear it as a casual suit later on so you don't just wear it at your wedding. They will either ask that you pay in full or at least a certain amount. If you want canvassing and other luxiourious features, then expect to pay a little more (ex. Half canvas was 100 extra). The entire process was awesome and good pricing. I still haven't actually gotten my suit, but will update when I have received it.

Their very knowledgeable staff did an amazing job walking me through the almost overwhelming selection of fabrics and customization options while educating me on modern styles and fits to consider. I'm incredibly indecisive so I welcomed everyone's professional opinions - Ralph and George were particularly helpful in assisting me with some slight alterations to my jacket and shirts, results were perfect. George was a lovely gent who took the time to learn what I wanted and walked me through the entire process from the fabric choices to the custom options that truly made the suit mine. Sequan was a magician when it came time for the final fitting and alterations. Combing over the suit with a trained eye and explaining the changes she was going to make. The experience, unique design options for all budgets, and provided product at Tailor Cooperative was fantastic! I was searching for a particular color for a suit and none of the typical first stop stores had a match. I searched at multiple places and when I discussed what I was looking for with store representatives they referred me to either Tailor Cooperative or another store. Not knowing what Tailor Cooperative was I kept searching at ‘known’ stores. Finally the search ended with all recommendations pointing to Tailor Cooperative. I was fortunate enough to get a same day appointment and met Adam Malmborg of Tailor Cooperative. From the initial design consultation thru fitting sessions the collaboration with Adam led to what I was looking for and fun education on suits along the way. The experience and down to earth while professionalism expertise the folks at Tailor Cooperative have was phenomenal. My suit was for my wedding, but they have a large variety of options and willing to help you learn in a comfortable environment if you’re a first suit purchaser. All of their staff are great, but I will return to work with Adam in the future.

I've purchased three custom suits & several custom shirts from Tailor Cooperative. During the initial fitting, they take lots of measurements & ask questions about how you like your clothes to fit. My first suit fit perfect. The custom shirts were a little too tight for my taste so they offered to re-make them at no charge. After confirming my first suit and shirt fit perfect, future orders were a snap. Ordering additional suits & shirts only took about 20 minutes to pick out the fabric and decide on the details. I love that you can order as many matching pants as you want (versus off-the-rack suits that only come with 1 pair of pants). If you want a suit jacket that is extra comfortable and drapes beautifully, ask the staff about the half-canvas upgrade. Give them a call and get a suit that you will actually look forward to wearing. Best of all, their prices can't be beat!

I recently purchased a custom made suit from the Tailor Cooperative. Tha is to say I was provided guidance and direction in the creation of my suit by the incredibly knowledgable staff I worked with. Adam, Celeste and George assisted me in choosing the type of fabric for the suit. They also helped me in the nuances that go into a custom suit. The type /style of lapels, pockets, vents, material for the lining of the jacket and even the buttons. This was all done in a very relaxed and pleasant environment. I am incredibly happy with the look and especially the fit of my suit. While this was my first experience with the Tailor Cooperative it will certainly not be my last. If you're looking for a custom piece (or several pieces) of formal men's wear that will make your friends, family, and boss all say "Wow! That guy REALLY knows how to dress!" then look no further! Tailor Cooperative built my custom tuxedo for my wedding from the ground up. The friendly, helpful staff was very involved in making sure I got exactly what I wanted. I showed up and they offered me a drink while we picked out the various fabrics and patterns that I wanted to use to build a one of a kind yet still classic ensemble. Once I had selected each pattern, texture, and fabric we took my measurements. This process was very thorough which left me confident that my tux would come back perfect! In a few short weeks, I came back into the shop for a fitting. As usual the gentlemen there offered me a drink while we discussed the fit and any possible alterations that we would make to the piece. I was quite satisfied that their measurements had been perfect and was in no need of alterations so I left with my new, custom tux that very day. Overall the experience from start to finish was top-notch much like the newest and sharpest addition to my wardrobe. My now wife was VERY pleased with my style and swagger at our reception as the comfortable, flexible, perfectly fitted tux allowed me to steal the show on and off the dance floor. The Tailor Cooperative is far and away the best place to get your bespoke suit, work attire or formal wear. Their custom clothing design experience is top notch on a global, high fashion level. This is exactly what the greater SLC area has been missing and I'm excited to have a new custom tailor in town. I originally approached Tailor Cooperative to upgrade my work wardrobe, but after the first visit ended up walking away with a new blazer, 5 custom shirts and a 3-piece bespoke suit for my wedding this fall. I absolutely LOVE every piece of clothing they've provided (and so do my friends and colleagues!). The clothes fit perfectly to live, work, and impress. The entire process from hanging out in the beautiful shop for your custom fitting, enjoying a cold beverage, designing your suit down to the finest detail, and to the arrival of your clothes with a great custom garment bag and custom hangers was AMAZING! On my first work trip with my new blazer, a complete stranger I met in the elevator said to me, "wow, you look sharp. I would invest in your company.". If you are thinking or have thought about getting a custom suit made, look no further. Tailor Cooperative was the most professional and comfortable experience. The designers are really knowledgable about all things fashion. They let me have free reign on what I wanted, but weren't afraid to put in their two cents to make sure everything would look good. My suit jacket didn't come out perfect the first time, so they had the jacket remade and it turned out better than I could have imagined. The fit is perfect and the confidence you have wearing a custom suit is only something you would understand after you have yours made. Also, the price, compared to other custom suit shops is SLC, is by far the best.

As a trans man--especially one early in his transition--shopping for clothing is a stressful event. Going to get a custom suit? Even more so. But my experience with Tailor Cooperative was so validating and affirming. When I went to the shop, I walked into a warm, welcoming environment. I was offered drinks. My fitter sat down with me, and we had an in-depth conversation about exactly what I wanted out of a suit. When I wasn't sure about something, or wanted a suggestion, my fitter wasn't condescending but instead was excited to share his opinion and his knowledge with me. And when we got to the actual measurements and how I wanted the suit to fit, my need for a male pattern as the base was never questioned. When my suit was ready, it fit perfectly. I'm a little curvy, so I was nervous about it fitting right in the seat. But the people at Tailor Cooperative must be magic because we didn't have to make a single alteration. When I saw myself in the mirror, I almost cried. I had a perfectly-tailored suit, and I looked and felt incredible. Everyone in the shop was as excited as I was about the suit. And when I had questions about accessories (how DOES one accessorize such a graphic, loud pattern), again, people were more than happy to make suggestions, and in general just have fun with me. I would recommend this shop to anybody. If you have the money, a suit from them is an incredible investment, as you are also receiving customer service that is as tailored and unique as your suit. And if you, like me, are someone who is at risk for poor or outright bigoted treatment, know that Tailor Cooperative is safe and enthusiastically welcoming.

Ladies, women, and all sorts of gender identities - don't shy away from this business if you think it's just for dudes. No only was my suit incredible, but it was such an awesome experience. George was great about helping me pick each detail and honest about what would and wouldn't go together. I'm also not always 100% confident in my body--shape, weight, whatever. But the entire process made me feel awesome. And when they say they will do what it takes to get it right, they aren't lying. A button was off and keeping my sleeve from hitting the right place. After a few tries, they said this is yours and we're starting over. I got to build a second jacket to ensure it was perfect. Not just 5 stars, 13/10 would give them all my money again.

When I thought about designing a suit, I thought of the John Wick Style process and it was above and beyond everything I expected. Walking in I didn't know what to expect. I worked with George. George greeted and treated me not only as a person who was interested in designing my suit, but as me as a person. We went through the whole process building the suit from the ground up. Discussing how wool is chosen to choosing the fabric and the designs. He was also able to answer all the questions that we had and knew it in depth. I was even given a drink prepared in advance before I got there. While we were designing the suit, George gave me advice, and gave me superb choices on what would look best. Being prior military, they gave me a superb deal. George deserves the credit and more and want to work with only him from now on and for years to come. You have earned a customer for life. I am so mad for waiting for so long. The thought of designing my own suit was a bit overwhelming. So I allowed myself to put it off for months. When I finally did, I cant believe how simple it was. Everything came out amazing. I am a broad shouldered, warm bodied guy. I hate wearing suites. I feel like I just put on uncomfortable layer, after layer. The shirts they made for me, the bamboo blend, it is NOT coming off for sex! STUPID COMFORTABLE! Having a vest with a collar allows me to take my jacket off as early as possible, while maintaining a clean, cool, professional look. I have a narrow waist, and a "prominent seat". Having pants that do not NEED a belt, but still accentuating my curves, cannot believe I made it this long without them! I love the culture and atmosphere! Beyond grateful for the model they are building for young professionals for me!

If you’ve never had a custom suit, and can afford to do it. Do it. I’ve had suits tailored for me before, and even then they never felt as if they really fit. The pant taper is off, or the suit coat length is odd, there is always something not made for YOU. My suit is a thing of beauty. It fits perfectly, and they were sure to take my personal tastes into account. The seemingly small options they provide for personalizing your suit are what make it feel unique. From the color of your buttons, to the width of your lapel, or how many pockets you want, and not to mention the inner lining, they will help you find something truly bespoke. Are there other options? Sure. But I doubt they do it with the care and professionalism that they do at Tailor Cooperative. Truly a great experience. I will definitely be back.

Or you can find a nice variety at a cheaper price but the quality is very poor. I had a unique silk shirt and a playful vest and I wanted them merged into a single piece by lining the vest with the silk. I asked through my community for recommendations and Tailor Collective, specifically Ivonne, was brought up immediately. Being a custom job I first made a trip to one of Tailor Collective's Open Shop Nights and they liked the idea and referred me to Ivonne who I met the next day. She took on the project with enthusiasm. The store was abuzz when I picked up my vest a couple weeks later. Ivonne had married the shirts with taste and attention to detail. This marriage of a 17 year silk and 8 year vest could only happen in Utah. I hope to have this piece in my collection for at least 25 years.

A few months ago I came here and got my measurements taken. I left a good review saying that they know their stuff and is a good place to get a suit. Now I got my suit back and was able to try it on. To say I am pleased with their product and service is an understatement. I have had various jobs in the financial services industry to where every day for the past 5 years I have worn a dress shirt to work. I have bought all of them at Men's Warehouse for about $60-80. Dress clothing and formal attire have always been uncomfortable and binding for me so the prospect of being an attorney and living in a suit for the rest of my life filled me with dread. I decided to get a custom suit because, while not being the most fashion forward person, I do have particular likes and dislikes and I felt like I deserved to give myself something that looks and feels good. I met with the men at the Tailor Cooperative and it became very evident from the get-go that this was the perfect place for me. Surprisingly, the process was not overwhelming and I had a lot of fun selecting cloth, buttons, lining, and style. I am a woman that identifies as a woman, but I've never actually liked the fit and look of women's professional clothing so I opted for a masculine 3-piece suit. I was never made to feel embarrassed or weird at this decision and in fact, the guys at the Tailor Cooperative gave me the confidence I needed to rock that herringbone jacket-vest-pant combo! It went off to be made and then I came for a second fitting where we made some minor adjustments on the pant and vest length. I could not believe how comfortable the suit was and it wasn't binding and uncomfortable and I actually LOVED wearing it. I was also astonished to realize how poorly a lot of my other clothes fit/felt and wish I could just live in custom tailored clothing! If you're buying formal wear and want to look AND feel good, you really do need a custom suit! Derek was great working with my schedule to find time that I could go in for fittings. I worked primarily with George for my suit and he was amazing dialing in my personal style and balancing it with the traditional formal wear I would need for school, court rooms, and job interviews. I also had equally valuable input from Ralph that made me feel like every decision I made was spot on. I am so excited for my blossoming professional wardrobe and plan on going back to the Tailor Cooperative again to get a few more things made before school starts this fall!

I was in the market for a new suit and after some online research decided to give Tailor Cooperative a try. Upon arriving at my initial fitting appointment, they kindly greeted me at the entrance of their brick-and-mortar shop and offered me a drink to unwind. Carlos, my personal clothier, took the time to meet me personally and explained the fitting process. After that, we began sorting through the different fabrics and he provided me some personal recommendations for what to look for in a core suit. All said, the fabric decisions, suit preferences, and measurement process took about an hour, which to me indicates their commitment to providing the best suit for my style and body type. After about 5 weeks, my suit was ready for a final fitting. It looked incredible and fit perfectly in all spots except for a small wave between my shoulder blades. The fitting assistant, Adam, provided insight into the need for an additional alteration and worked with the tailor to get the final adjustments completed within a week. Again, I felt their commitment to altering the suit to my expectations and in a very timely manner. My experience at Tailor Cooperative went well above my expectations as the employees there seem genuinely interested in style and provide their customers a courteous, but realistic outlook. I can’t recommend this shop enough if suit shopping for a specific event or just a core suit for my collection (like my situation). My only caution would be to expect to pay more than a department store but know that your money will be well spent and you’ll look and feel great about choosing Tailor Cooperative.

Well, where to start... I'm starting a new adventure and possible career change and was in need of new "work" clothes. (Right now, my work clothes consist of hospital scrubs.) Other than that, my "wardrobe" consisted of t-shirts, cargo shorts, jeans, a few off the shelf dress shirts, and two "Mr. Warehouse" suits... I started doing some research on how best to spend my money and get the best value when starting the foundation of my first real wardrobe... I found a YouTuber that made a lot of sense to me in his videos about bespoke clothing. He explains the value of material, fit, and attention to detail that only a bespoke clothier can provide. I was convinced now that if I was going to spend any more money on clothing that it would be on quality, timeless, and well fitted items that I would have for years to come. Fit is paramount in my opinion. I am a larger male in both height and width ;) and have NEVER found shirts that fit me... If I go to a department store and find a shirt that fits my neck size it will drown me like a canvas tent. The diameter of the sleeves is so large that raising my arms causes the shirt to untuck from my pants every time I lift my arms. So frustrating! On top of that, the quality of fabric (or should I say lack of) is so poor that I might get a few months of use before the collar and sleeve ends start to deteriorate and becomes unwearable. This is where I decided to put my trust into the hands of Chelsea, my personal tailor at Tailor Cooperative... Chelsea made me feel so comfortable during my initial visit! I felt like a fish out of water when I first walked into the shop because this was a totally new experience for me. That feeling was short lived after meeting her and her friendly and professional demeanor... She took time to get to know me first and found out what I had in mind in starting my first, proper wardrobe. As we looked over fabrics and discussed design ideas, I was overwhelmed by her knowledge, expertise, and ability to truly listen to my questions and walk me through the process. I was then measured from head to toe. I remember being "measured" at other places that I have shopped in the past and it consisted of 4-5 measurements at best... This fitting was on an entirely new level and I knew that I was starting down the path to clothing nirvana! I have been to my second fitting and received my items this week. (Thanks to Adam for filling in on the second fitting for Chelsea when she was out of town. He was equally impressive!) I could not be more impressed! I feel amazing and my confidence is through the roof when I put on any of the items from T.C. If you are even toying with the idea of bespoke clothing, don't hesitate, just run to T.C.! Stop buying clothes, start investing in clothes and in yourself... Bottom line? Tailor Cooperative ~ Clothing Nirvana

Tailor Cooperative was my first attempt at buying bespoke clothing. I chose them based on their rave reviews and reasonable pricing. My experience with them took longer than I anticipated, but it was well worth the time and effort. I ordered several items at once, and I had very specific expectations for how I wanted the items to look and fit. Because of several changes and adjustments that I requested, and also because of a few mistakes on their part, it took several fitting appointments and re-makes over the period of a few months to get things right. While I was slightly frustrated by some of the mistakes, I was very impressed with how the professionals at Tailor Cooperative dealt with those mistakes, and how they treated me overall as a customer. From the very first visit I felt welcomed and comfortable, and I was very surprised how much one-on-one attention I and the other clients received (and at some visits, I had multiple tailors helping me). When I kept bringing pants and jackets back for alterations, they never once acted annoyed that I was again requesting a change, but were quick to help and friendly as ever. When mistakes were made and brought to their attention, they were quick to acknowledge the errors and correct them. I got a ton of compliments on the suit, which is not a usual thing for me. I've since bought 3 shirts that I'm also very happy with and am planning on getting a sport coat made.
