Don't take your clothes here! My mother brought my little brothers Halloween costume in to be fixed because it was too big for him. Didn't even fix the waist of the pants and instead of cutting the length of the pants to the size he needed, they just cut the pants to what they thought and completely ruined his pants. Now they're too short for him to wear. They rip you off and don't even do the work that is asked of them! A few years ago as well I brought my prom dress in to have small straps sewed on and to have the waist of the dress brought in a bit. Paid $40 for them to do nothing! I went and picked it up no alterations were made. Not bringing anything there ever again, and I suggest you don't either. I really don't see how this place gets good reviews because they have done horrible work on everything that we take there. Also as I'm reading other people's reviews now and when they respond, there is no apology, all they ask is verify the name of the shop so they don't feel like they need to take any responsibility for messing up not just our clothing but other customers as well.

We love this establishment. We've had a suit altered, as well as two coats. Jennie's work was perfect and then some. I've read some of the other reviews. While there is a language barrier, We found that if you speak slowly and clearly, She totally understands what you're asking. All of my future alteration needs will go to Jennie.

Unfortunately I suggested my daughter come here for an alteration on her wedding dress. She rushed us as we tried to explain what we wanted insisted she understood but we feared there was a problem with the language barrier. Sure enough, she didn't do what we wanted and what she did, wasn't done well ... at all. If you are doing only the most standard of things like having a button replace and you don't mind paying extra for and are willing to take a risk, then this is the place for you. The reality is that there is a huge language barrier here and they are going to do things their way.

TERRIBLE SERVICE and Terrible WORK!!. STAY AWAY! This place ruined my daughters wedding dress so bad we had to buy a second dress! She seems to speak enough English to take your money, but when you try to get something corrected or changed she can't understand! Do not trust this place with anything you actually care about.

I cannot speak for their work here as I did not use them, but make sure you check other places for prices. They wanted to charge me $500dollars, yes FIVE HUNDRED dollars to alter my wedding dress. I checked with 2 other places first (with better reviews too) and both were going to charge me less than $200. what a rip off. I completely agree with what Richard Schill said below.

My Sport coat had a separating seam on the bottom. I took it in and she promised it would be done in a week. One week later and $10 the repair was done wonderfully. It was a simple repair, but it was done to my satisfaction all around. I'll go back.

I should have read the reviews before taking anything here. When I came into the shop to pick up my skirt I handed her my pink copy of the receipt and she handed me my skirt. The balance was $2.55 I handed her a $20 and dug in my wallet for the change. She handed me back $3.00 when I told her I gave her a $20 she went into immediate upset. She insisted I only gave her a five dollar bill. That is pretty impossible seeing how I had gone to the ATM to get the money for her. She offered nothing but to tell me I am wrong. There was no way for her to verify what I had handed her since the register is just a glorified calculator. Sadly there isn't anything I can do either, besides warning anyone who checks online before visiting her shop. Very disappointed. ***side note, she also doesn't participate in any of the city activities she refused to display the Halloween flyer while I was in there waiting for my skirt.***

I can’t speak for other people’s experience here... but Jenny really got me out of a bind with my wedding suit. The store I bought it from didn’t do my alterations because their tailor went out of town. Scrambling to find a place to do a one day job I found this place. Jenny was sweet and able to get my jacket and pants done in just a few hours. Looked great.

awful job. took my wedding dress there to be hemmed and let out in one specific area. she refused to take measurements of my body, saying she could just measure the dress while it was on me and unzipped. she then refused to pull it closed at all while she measured, despite me asking her over and over, since i wanted it to be tight. instead of letting it out in the waist 1-2 inches like i asked, she let the entire top out a ton. she added so much extra fabric to the armpits of my wedding dress that i couldn’t get it to not fold over on itself no matter how i stood. please don’t take your business here!! she won’t listen to you or try at all to do what you ask. waste of hundreds of dollars

Amazing service! All my hems and tailoring turn out wonderful every time. Recently, Jenny altered a shirt that was too small for me into a dress for my little girl. I didn't think it could be done because there was a lot of detailed appliqué over one shoulder but Jenny unpicked everything and remade it perfectly. I'm never disappointed!

I had a very poor experience. I took my wedding dress there to be altered. A beautiful lace gown that is delicate is now ruined. Its fraying everywhere she cut, she glued part of my dress, yes, glue. She didnt use the piping all the way around the sleeves. So now the sleeves are uneven, fraying, and some of the lace has holes in it now. She basically took the fabric that needed to be brought in threw some random stitches in it. The form fitting dress has puckers along both sides. The back and neck line were all messed up as well. She made the zipper out of alignment too. It is on my right side now instead of the middle. Took it to another alterations place and was told its not salvageable. So here I am looking for a new wedding dress and out $400 (That is not including the price of the dress either. That was just her alterations!) With less than 8 weeks to my wedding by the way. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!

Brought my sisters wedding dress in to have it taken out for my wedding. These ladies sure know what they're doing! The next time I came in it fit perfectly and was quite a bit below what I expected it to cost. Overall LOVED this place and will be back for any future alterations.

Don't listen to the people who have auad bad experiences here. I honestly believes it because they can't handle a communication barrier and there used to going to big retail stores that cater to their every whim. Because Jenny is simply amazing. I brought my $1,500 wedding dress into her (it's Bianca by Maggie sorterro ) and she fell behind on when it was supposed to be started (she does everything herself she does so much) but she has now done 6 fittings for me! She can always tell when I don't like something and tired to fix it right away. I may have paid hundreds for her to do everything but she has given me 3 free fittings. She is simply amazing. **Tips** Ask to use the Google translate she has for when you're communicating detail or something she is having a hard time understanding. Visa versa if you don't understand what she is saying Also be specific and take your time to make sure YOU explain exactly what you want. Don't be vague. All in all she is a very smart, beautiful, and nice woman. She does excellent work.

What i expected to be a $50 or more fix over the course of a week ended up being only $15 in like 3 minutes... something 2 other places weren't able to do. Am very satisfied. This was my second time in having something fixed.

I came in today to have my daughters flower girl dress altered. All that needed to be altered was the shoulders brought up and a few inches hemmed. She wanted to charge me $130! No way I am spending that much! My wedding dress didn't even cost me that much to alter when I got married. I will take my business elsewhere.

WORST PLACE EVER!! Customer service is a disaster. The lady at the sewing machine hardly made eye contact with me when I was explaining what I wanted to get done with my dress. It also did not help that she could not communicate very well in English. Don’t waste your time coming to this place. I preferred to pay a little bit more and I went to Nordstrom‘s alterations.

I went in just to get a quote, told her that right when I walked in, after quoting $19 per skirt to be hemmed I said I was going to check a few other places first and she threw the pins out of the skirts tossed them on the counter to me and walked away.

Absolutely awful. Took a new suit in to be fitted and the pants came back just tacked in 5 places on each leg to make them shorter there was no hemming done. As soon as I tried them on I stuck my toe in an open gap and ripped them.The legs weren't tapered so they looked like bell bottom jeans. The suit coat was also not taken in at all. Will not go back ever!

Jenny does a great job at an affordable price. I've had her alternate a couple suit coats and pants that now fit great. Communication can be a challenge because she knows limited English and plan on a week for most alterations. They offer rush orders for $10 more, but I'm not sure what the turnaround is. I definitely recommend them.

The person I have been taking my uniforms to for years moved away , soni needed a new business to use several times a year for my uniform needs . I Paid $20.00 for two small patches on a shirt. ( serious , I’ve been paying $5.00 for years ) I figured the work was going to be flawless for that price .... nope ... it Took a week and the patches came back crooked ! Will NOT go back , all future business will be taken elsewhere .

Had about 10 pieces of clothing altered. Everything fit fantastic. Cost wasn't dirt cheap, and the store isn't anything to write home about, but I must admit, I was surprised how consistent good the mending was. 3 suit coats and pants, and 2 pairs of slacks. Perfect. Will go there everytime for alterations in the future.

I had a pair of Nike compression shorts that had their stitching unraveling at one of the seams. These are my favorite pair of undergarments that I use to workout, but they aren't very expensive. And yet, I didn't want to buy another pair because they were still in pretty good condition. I took these shorts to American Fork Alterations yesterday and they did the job for $5 paid in cash. It was a super small job and it only took them 5 minutes (or less), but I couldn't do it by myself for lack of training and equipment. The shop is clean, professional, and they owners appear to be well-organized. I would trust them with more complicated jobs in the future, but it's nice to know they didn't shun me for having such a simple repair.

She does a good job, but good luck getting it. I've called and she said it was ready, I got there and she couldn't find it, even with the receipt/return card thing. Then she sat there and did it while I waited. Another time she didn't get stuff done for like 6 months.
