I unfortunately had my measurements incorrectly, therefore the dress received was too small. I panicked and asked around to see where I should take my dress to get altered. I am SO thankful that Olga had the time and the talent to help me. She shortened my dress and let out the sides with the extra fabric. The alterations looks perfect. They don't alter the look of the dress at all. I am so thankful for Olga's help. She is very talented and was able to get my dress back in a timely manner.

Not only did they repair my one hem but he also decided to take some preventive action on the other hem! Both were done in a matter of minutes! Love these two. Very professional! The least customer service that I have experienced in recent years. I took a Jeans to be reduced and they were suggesting that I go and buy a new one from Banana republic instead of trying to reduced the one that I took to them. What hurt me the most was that I am very capable of paying whatever amount they charged. The guy was so mean, couldn't even listen to me and became very rude. I felt disrespected and overlooked. I will not recommend this place to any one, least to say, people of color. Edited after owner’s reply: Instead of apologizing to a customer, the owner of Olga Alterations is blaming me, the customer for not positively taking “his advise”! I think this is totally wrong! It is not right to make fun of a customer who walked into your place for service! You don’t suggest to me where to go and buy my clothes from! That was very rude of you and such attitude of yours, is not good for our community! I will continue to spread the words out there about your very horrible customer service, and your not so welcoming to people of color!

Because I don't like to be accused of being a rude person or someone who is living in "catastrophic, despairing life," I would like to defend this by saying I am the furthest from, and am taken back by this response to a customer. I don't expect a business owner to know me personally, or beyond what I experienced with this business, but I could go a step further to defend myself by saying both my husband and I are hardworking, educated, outdoor loving, home remodeling, bike riding, loving individuals. When posting this, I have zero intention on being rude or a bully, just purely informational; given Google reviews are used to inform and help other consumers to make a well educated decision, correct? Reading a demoralizing response from a business owner is disappointing. Having a career in customer service myself, I cannot even wrap my head around a business owner insulting me, a consumer of their product, in their response. However, I do understand business owners who decide to respond to google reviews must meet requirements for Google to remove the review with reasonable measure. I was merely informing other consumers, so they don't have the same experience I did. I could go into the false information you provided, such as using my mothers account to review (if she reviewed... she is an adult who forms her own opinion, with no influence from me), the incorrect dates being referenced, or the $25 off the dress, but I find these to be irreverent to the intent of my review. I hope you, as business owners, take this as a learning experience on how to treat customers and reform a business model to better fit your customers needs. Regards, April I recently got my wedding dress altered at Olga's, she did a beautiful job. However, if you're looking for upfront prices and a clear estimate of what you're paying, this is not the place to go. I was quoted $150 for a hem and bustle--keep in mind, my dress has no extravagant beading, lace, didn't have to be taken in on the sides, or anything of that nature. When I went in for my first appointment, I asked Olga how much I was going to pay after we established a plan for my dress. I had reminded her, when I called the first time to make my appointment, I was quoted at $150. I had, again, asked her what I owe at the first appointment, she deviated the question saying I will pay when I pick up my dress. She was never clear on what I was required to pay at time of pick up. So, I--like many other brides--assumed we we're on the same page per her initial quote. When I went to pick up my dress after alterations were complete, she handed me an invoice for $300; twice as much as she told me from the first appointment. Unfortunately for her, I am not a bride that will let this slide. I expressed my concern with her and she was not accommodating at all, saying she "couldn't do anything about it" (being the owner of the business this is, somewhat, hard to believe). Side note: you can better understand my frustration knowing that my mother went in a week prior to get her intricately beaded dress altered, and paid no more than $80 dollars. With that said, I requested she remove the bustles, as this is what she told me increased the price. Her response was simply, "That will cost $50 to remove." I am not trying to review her work on my dress, I'm just reviewing the integrity of her customer service and business morality. Moral of this entire review, if you don't want to be ripped off and taken advantage of don't get your wedding dress altered here OR at least, have her lay out and document exactly what you will be paying for at time of pick up.

Had a very expensive coat... the zipper had been broken on it for months, took it here and it was fixed in a very short amount of time and they put a zipper on my coat that was 10 times better than the original. Love it so much. Very satisfied. Will go here for all my tailoring needs. Worth the price of admission...

I found Olga’s Alterations online because I needed alterations to a pair of pants. Her reviews were good so I decided to try her. My pants were a lightweight polyester wide legged pant, fully lined, that I needed hemmed. Tried them on for her in nice dressing rooms, she measured and gave them a week. When I picked them up a week later, they were perfect length, and a reasonable price for all she had to hem. Very satisfied with Olga’s Alterations and would go to her again.
