Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with this shop. I'm not sure who the lady was that I talked with when I went in, but I found it very difficult to understand her English. (And I grew up overseas, so I don't normally have problems with accented English.) It was a fairly simple alteration—just taking in the sides of a lace top. I tried the top on and showed her how much I wanted it taken in, and then she put in pins to mark the place. When my husband came back a week later to pick up the top, the price she charged was twice as much as the one she had quoted to me—she said because there were two layers to the top. But she saw that there were two layers when I tried on the top! She could have told me that at the time! Also, when I tried the top on again at home, I couldn't tell any difference. It didn't seem like it had been taken in at all. I have no idea what she did, but I didn't want to go back, because I'd just have to pay even more.

Paula is a magician and she is now one of my favorite people! She had to do a lot of work to my wedding dress. The inner section pulled and had to be let out, while the outer layer of lace was way too big. A decent amount of the lace needed to be removed in order to make the dress lay correctly. Paula knew just what to do to fix the issues, and she did an AMAZING job! You couldn’t tell the lace had been cut and hand sewn back together, and the dress really fit me beautifully. I would highly recommend Paula for your alternation needs!!

I brought two bridesmaid dresses to be altered and they were done quickly and perfectly. One was a Lula Kate and the other was a glittery multi layer Hayley Paige Occasions bridesmaid dress. Both had to be taken in at the bodice and hemmed. I am not sure of the ladies name who helped me but she was great. I didn’t have time to try on at pickup and knew from experience I didn’t need to worry about fit or quality of work. I put them on at home it fit perfect! This is as my second time to The Perfect Fit Alterations and I would highly recommend them for any formal wear alterations.

(She made it removable to that I could take it off after the ceremony-- it looked amazing even though the fabrics weren’t quite the same color or material). She did my veil, took out a corset, added a hidden zipper, added buttons, downsized the dress by 4 sizes, added a handmade belt. The dress look like it was designed for me.
