Linda did a great job as usual! She squeezed me in last minute for a brides maid's dress that I needed hemmed. I will continue to use her for all my alterations.

Took my prom dress here last year, and she made it perfect for me! Even though she had soo many other prom dresses at the time, she finished mine in less than two weeks. Definitely bringing anything else I need altered to her!

Everything seemed fine when I dropped off my dress during drop off hours...but everything changed when I was called back a few days after to try my dress on. When I arrived at my 4pm appointment, I had to wait for 20 to 30 minutes because someone else was trying on their dress during MY scheduled appointment time. Linda had said "I wasn't sure if you were coming around 4 or. . .?" The woman in the dressing room was about to try her OTHER dress but she told Linda "I could step out and put on the next dress out here while she gets her fitting done." I found that ironic seeing as I'm the one scheduled for the fitting that she is having. Although my infant and husband were waiting in the car, I kept my composure and continued on waiting for my fitting while my other child patiently waited as well. After my fitting, I said to Linda that it was not the length I requested and I then asked for it to be changed. I had also given her great news that the event in which I needed the dress was rescheduled for a later time. Even then, Linda rudely replied that she can't do it. She stated that she would have to start all over and that she will be willing to do it sometime later. I replied "Great, I can schedule for later. When could I return?". She then replied "LATER. AFTER your event." *Interesting: Why would Linda call me back in to try a dress on if she was truly unable to change it? Why call me in to try the dress on in the first place? It was clear that she simply did not want to work on my dress. She then gave me a rude stare and sent me on my way. The entire time I felt rushed and as if I were an inconvenience. I paid $35 and the dress was not nearly what I wanted, nor was I kindly welcomed nor shown good customer service throughout my experience. Linda, please try to treat ALL your customers with the same courtesy and kindness. Remember that even the paying customers who ask for a mere hemming service deserve even minimal courtesy and respect in return. It's only fair. I had taken my dress to another local shop and was given wonderful quality service with great kindness and hospitality. I will continue to return to and recommend that alteration shop to my family and friends as well. I do NOT recommend Lindas alteration.

I had Linda taylor a pair of jeans for me awhile back. Not only did she do a fantastic job, the price was very reasonable and turn around time was great considering how busy she is! I would suggest her to anyone with alteration needs!

Beautiful and timely job. I had some wide-legged pants (very slippery fabric) hemmed. Linda is not only warm and personable, but her work is high quality and well worth the price - and the walk up the stairs.

She does good work.

For my second prom, I decided to go with a professional seamstress instead of the family option we've always used. Seeing the 5/5 rating with people saying the pricing was good and the turn around time was great, I was hoping I'd end up with a good experience. I brought my dress in a month prior to my event thinking it would take roughly two weeks for her to finish the job. During my original appointment, we asked for an estimate for time and pricing and she wasn't able to give either. After 4 weeks, I was worried when I hadn't heard back from her and called to see when the dress would be done. According to her, She hadnt even started on it. Ironically, I had a friend whose prom was a week before mine and got hers back within two weeks of bringing it in to Linda. I don't think it was fair that mine was double the time when I brought it in much earlier. I called her a week later and she said she still hadn't gotten to it but that the pricing would be around $165. This is more than double what I would normally pay for the same job and I was very dissapointed in the ridiculous pricing. It was too late by that time for me to take it anywhere else and so I paid the price and learned the hard way to stick with the people I know. Despite my problems, She did do a good job on the alterations. Was it worth the hefty price I paid though? Absolutely not. Needless to say, I will not be returning. Update: The hem job she did completely fell apart while I was a Prom and became tattered.

I came to Sewing by Linda with a VERY complicated lace wedding dress that needed taken in several sizes. I was worried that the dress may be too complicated to alter to fit me but Linda was able to make it perfect!! She is extremely professional and really an expert at what she does. She had my alterations done very quickly and for a great price! She really took time with me to make sure that the dress was perfect and exactly what I wanted. I would recommend Sewing by Linda to anyone who needs alterations and I’ll definitely be coming back!

I recently brought my wedding dress to Linda which needed work EVERYWHERE. She was so friendly, works fast and the pricing was right where I expected. The dress fits perfectly now and I can't wait to walk down the aisle with it on in a few weeks! Thanks Linda!

She definitely made my dreams come true. I just knew I would have to buy a new dress a month before my wedding. Linda made sure my dress was done in advance and update me each time she completed a portion of the alterations. No one would've ever known that I could not even fit the dress a month before my wedding. I appreciate everything she did. And it was way cheaper than David's Bridal's outrage pricing!

I was looking forward to writing a good review until I received my bridesmaid dress. The first time I went in to have my dress taken in and hemmed we discussed a price. At that time I did not have my shoes and was to return when I had the shoes I was going to wear. When I went in the second time I put the dress on and realized it was still too big. I asked Linda about this and she said if we took it in any more that it would be too tight on me and that once she hemmed the dress maybe it would look better on me. Also at that time we never discussed any other charges than the initial one we discussed. My husband went to pick up the dress and it was nearly double the price she originally told me. When I called Linda to discuss this she stated she usually tells people and wasn't sure how I didn't get this information. Needless to say I was upset and tried to console with myself with thinking that maybe my dress would look good and be maybe remotely worth what I paid. I got home that evening and tried on my dress. It had been nicely pressed as she promised and it was taken in and hemmed. Except there were yellow markings left on the dress where she marked it to cut/sew and it was still too big. Now one day before we have to leave for the wedding I am having to take my dress to ANOTHER seamstress and pay someone again to have my dress fixed. My wedding dress was a designer gown by Lazarro with a scalloped hem and covered in beading. I had my wedding dress hemmed, bustled, a corset put in, and had the dress taken in for less than what I paid Linda. The bridesmaid dress I brought Linda was nothing compared to my wedding dress so it is completely unbelievable that it would cost so much. I gave Linda two stars because she is very nice and I'm sure she has done other work that was better than what she did with mine.
