My daughter just took her dress in to see if they could simply hem it. They took her back and pinned it up, without telling her they were charging her $25, just for that. They then told her it would be $50 to hem the dress. She said she would need to ask her parents, and they had her keep the dress there. We told her to go get it back, her dress only cost $35!! They made her pay $25 to get it back. I just called to inquire about getting the $25 back they stole from my 18 year old and they said no it was written on the wall somewhere. As far as I’m concerned they are thieves and should be ashamed of taking hard-earned money from young girls! Disgusting business practice!

Walked in and asked for a quote, she gave me one and I told her I was going to check around for quotes at other shops since I'm from out of town, she told me don't come back.

Hedi is amazing! Her work is flawless and she accommodates literally any request. I have gotten 2 gowns altered by her and I needed each of them the very next day. Hedi got them done and they looked perfect. She is a no nonsense lady who takes pride in her work and I highly recommend her

I believe all of the experiences people claim they had, but I have gone to Heidi for many decades with simple requests and never had a problem with quality, time spent there, or turnaround time. Then again, I'm a guy and probably less demanding and care less about perfection of pants hems, fixing zippers, etc. Heidi is Heidi and not Polly Anna that's for sure. But I like her and sorry to hear of others' experiences. She can be prickly for sure. But I just give her a hard time and make her laugh.

Heidi is lovely and she does great work. I came in with a dress and two skirts that needed to be taken in. I needed the dress within a week (my fault for delaying) and told her so, but let her know that I had a backup for the event just in case it wasn't done, since I had waited until the last minute to get it altered. She had not only my dress but the two skirts ready within a week! They fit perfectly. She's sweet and hilarious and definitely no-nonsense. For the people that are upset at her down-to-business personality - what do you want? A personal cheerleader? She knows her craft and she doesn't have time to deal with nonsense. I'll be back!

Was referred to Mt. Pleasant Alterations by the shop where I bought my wedding dress. Heidi was horrible to work with. The seams/darts on the bodice of my dress were not even with the darts on the bust. When I asked her to correct it she rolled her eyes and implied that I was being a bridezilla. This was after she had already asked me if I was pregnant....twice. I was a whopping 110 lbs at the time. Overall, I found her to be rude, I left practically in tears after every fitting and in the end was not satisfied with the fit of my dress. I do NOT recommend this alteration shop AT ALL.
